Legendary cars dealer refresh

The Doir Mangusta was available every day for 5 months and it's not even a recognized car in the game (doesn't count towards the 460+ cars) so I'm not sure this should be counted toward any sort of hostage crisis any time moving forward. It is essentially just a livery put over the car much like the 25th anniversary Red Bull X2019 (another unrecognized vehicle in the game that is no longer available to anyone at any time).
It will most likely reappear before the Escudo or Roadster around the beginning of May.

Agreed, the Dior Mangusta disappearance is a little more palatable since it’s just a livery and suit, but still debatable though seemingly only 4 people cared about it.

The other cars (now three) are borderline unacceptable especially to anyone that purchased the game since August, September, and January.

Will have to say, this trend of releasing and then subsequent withdrawing of content is disturbing. For example do the Sophy events really need to be available for a limited time? Come on.

Is the Ford Mark IV Race Car 1967 worth the 6.7M?
It depends, if you can't afford or do not want to grind for some of the other vintage race classics in the 700pp or so class (Porsche 917K, Jaguar XJ13, Ferrari P4, all cost 9,5-18 M), but you still want one such car, then this is a good buy. It has increased in price though, used to be under 5M I think.

What's the right PP range for it? I tried it at 800 PP and got annihilated.

Really?
This would be great. Can recommend a tune?

Thanks
M

Honestly I love driving cars in stock configuration. If they drive well stock then I usually prefer to leave them alone. So I have nothing to recommend for this car because I think it's a delight as it is. With SS or RH tires it hovers around 700PP so adjust as needed. It's very competitive in 700PP races. Also 650 races if you detune and/or use less grippy tires.

Thank you for the advise and regards

For the sound alone, yes. 6,7M isn't backbreaking. Just about 8 Sarthe 700 races earns it back.

edit: I did a race with it. This thing loves a drink, which I find a bit unrealistic for a classic endurance racer. On FM6 you get about 3,5 laps worth. Still a comfortable win, though. Grip for days!

Good to know. I was hoping it would be effective further up the PP range, but I'll happily revert it back to stock and make it competitive again.

Money isn't a issue I'm just cautious with buying a car that's over 6M. :)

The trouble with the fuel is that PD set it at 6X for the 700 PP event at Le Mans. I ran a custom race there at 700 PP with fuel at 1X & the mileage was at more than 10 laps.

I get that, but I wasn't complaining. Just mentioned it's a gas guzzler. That's all.
Who knew a 1960's big block would guzzle gas.

I suppose it depends on how many legendary cars you still need.

I still need 12 of them:

- Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Touring Berlinetta - 20M credits (No clue where to use this car, so no)

- Ferrari 250 GTO - 20M credits (Its pretty, but not a good investment at this time)

- McLaren F1 '94 - 20M credits (not worth it, IMO)

- McLaren F1 GTR BMW '96 - 11.5M credits (not a high priority as I have the '97 version)

- Mercedes-Benz S Barker Tourer - 13M (nope, no interest)

- Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (W194) - 20M credits (No interest)

- Porsche 917K - 18M credits (wasnt that impressed from the S10 license trial, but if I had disposable credits I may buy it)

- Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe - 20M credits (cool, but no)

- Jaguar D-type - 6M credits (ehh, maybe)

- Aston Martin DB3S '53 - 6M credits (ehh, maybe)

- Ford Roadster - 450k credits (I'd buy it but it's stuck in purgatory)

- Suzuki Escudo - 1.7M (definetly a buy but stuck in purgatory)

Thats a little over 156M credits needed to buy the remaining cars. I would probably only drive the Escudo out of all of them. So instead l'll stick to my plan of buying up the remaining Gr.B cars then move on to Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars. At least I'll drive these cars and have fun with them. Most of the remaining Legendary cars I need are just there for bragging rights and I really don't need to brag.

Not sure I'll be able to get enough credits before the Mark IV disappear, yet it is the cheapest of the 3 legendary cars I'd like to buy to get the trophy and maybe one day get the platinum 😅

Smells like Tokyo grinding again.

Still grinding, so I am happy that we are waiting for those cars. I need a lot of credits for McLaten F1 GTR and GTR Long Tail and Mercedes CLK-GTR. Already have 31 milion, but I need much much more since I want to buy duplicates of thos car for future custom grids. This will be my most expensive custom grid I guess xD

Yeah, that Ford Mark IV is worth it, one of cheaper fast vintage race cars (excluding A220 if you put race tires on it). Great big boy V8 sound 💪 And handling is not too bad. FM6 and big time short shifting gets you 4 laps at WTC700 Le Mans race.

I'd avoid P4, sounds great but a bit of a deathtrap with the oversteer ☠️ Although haven't driven it in a few months.

Anyone else a little concerned that this is the third day in a row where not a single car has gone to "Limited Stock"? Could all cars not currently available now be held in the hostage pool of cars?
