...and that may not even be the worst of it. When they increase the max "free" credit cap to 100M that means they can set the true real prices of cars like the 250GTO. 48 million credits?

I would imagine the update of the raised payouts to come soon so folks can buy that Alfa Romeo 8C...

But I almost bet they are going to release the update when the Alfa goes "out of stock". That would be meme worthy.
I doubt folks are clamoring to buy the 8C anyway. What would be tragic is if they make us wait till Friday next week for the update and in that time they release the racing F1's and Group C racers, all to be sold out just before the update drops.

I mean, there are definitely some. But yeah, that scenario with the Gr.C and F1 GTR would be a huge kick in the balls.

If they do that there will be so much bitching that i doubt they would even bother. The main reason they raise it is so that people can save up for more than one 20 million car.

I'm hoping for the long tail. The trouble is I need seven of them for 1997 liveries.
Do you know if there is a difference in class/performance of the two?
DB3S seems like a steal, but I think I'm gonna pass.
Where are we going to find 500pp races? I bought it but I don't think it was a smart move. This is a race car, so it can't be entered in road races. Drives pretty great bone-stock with race hard tires at about 500pp, but if you try to up the power at all it's as bad as the Shelby Cobra. Short wheelbase, light weight, high power = undriveable in this series.

Best car of the day was the TVR Tuscan Speed 6 in the UCD. Love that car and it pisses me off we don't have at least a few more TVR's

Yeah, I hear you.

Though I'm more of a person who just enjoys driving the cars rather than competitively racing them, more events involving these classic cars rather than Custom Races would be great.

Well, we hope. Only time will tell.
The 20 million cars are already super expensive, promising to add more events and adjusting the credit payout would be useless if they raised the prices on the cars that are the main source of the anger.

But.. it's PD so who knows :-/

I'm not getting this making these legend cars out of the reach of most people who buy the game, if they had advertised it like that I would never have bought it. Can't even buy most cars i Liiked from gts. Does Kaz think he will teach people the true value of money or something. getting annoyed now. oh and in gt1 couldn't you also buy the cars that were in ucd also brand new as well? no liking this way at all, as it's not making the game much fun, isn't that what it all about, your customers too have fun.

Next update will bring increase rewards for winning races by 100% but also raise car prices by 50%.

So for example now if i can win 60.000 credits + 30.000 (90.000cr) for clean race on first race in World GT Series Chamionships on Deep Forrest in like 10 minutes. Car cost 1.000.000 credits

Then after update it will be 120.000 credits + 60.000 equals 180.000 but car cost 1.500.000 credits.

Source?
I have read about the increase in payouts, but not of car prices.

I might stump up for that 2J '70 - I remember it from earlier games and it goes like 🤬 off a shovel. It will make a big dent in my hard-earned credits but..... it's only a game. 🤣

TVR certainly needs some love (many brands in this game do).

Sagaris
Grantura (more specifically the Mk II) - This one just for the Legendary Car Dealer
Cerbera Speed Eight
Griffith 500

And of course... the Cerbera Speed 12.

With just these 5 alone, I would be happy. The Tamora and the T350 were in GT5 and GT6 as premium cars... Maybe those can make a comeback?

TVRs were always one of my favourites as a kid, they were a bit mad like a Lambo but at a fraction of the cost and made in England. They were never easy to drive in the old GT games, just like real life, but they were always fun.

The Cerbera LM was a favourite racing car in GT2, plus the race mods of the other cars.

I'll be as old as the car itself before I can get anywhere near to buying it.

This pre-war Alfa Romeo 8C, or something similar to it (the Spider, I think?), sold for $19.8 million at an auction.

And to hear that it won not only Pebble Beach, but also Villa d'Este and even some Louis Vuitton-related award, really proves it to be one of the most desirable pre-war classics of all time.

That aside, improving the in-game economy simply wouldn't be enough to address this horribly excessive grind, with such a car costing this high (it's even more of an overkill compared to the McLaren F1 and Porsche 917K).

I've said it time and time again that every car in the game needs to be a rental car in the Arcade Modes, like seriously, so that there's another option to drive them, especially to try them out before buying them.

Yeah, just getting the ones back we had in previous games would be great, but they had so many other brilliant cars like their open-wheel race cars from the early days. The Tasmin, the new Griffith, the SX, SE, and SEAC's, Typhon... They've built a lot of brilliant cars. We never officially got them in the States so they're even more exotic for us. We need Lotus back for much the same reason; few manufacturers had so many "hits" compared to misses as Lotus. But then Lotus and TVR were always my favorite companies in these games so I'll always go to bat for them any chance I get :D

@GBalao888 I think that Alfa is absolutely stunning, but from a practical standpoint there's no way I'm going to possibly miss out on the the F1's, 250 GTO, 330P, or the Group C cars to get a vehicle to race against the Barker, another horribly impractical purchase (unless PD has some content for them, but we don't even have Gr.1/2 content confirmed so I won't hold my breath). So the Alfa and Barker are the purchases you make two years from now when your sitting at 100mil and have nothing left to buy, at least for me.

If i earned a million every hour i played the game i would be in a good shape. But like sooo many other games GT7 doesn't reward you for playing just the content you want, but specific content that the game finds valuable. right now i am somewhat ok, because i can do the WTC and still have fun with that, to a certain extent of course. If i do like i have done already and take a car that isn't a sure winner i may be having the fun i want but the game doesn't reward me.

I will manage since i reaaaally don't care that much about those 20 mill cars, but it's a flaw in the games design. Millage Credits would be awesome.

I bought the 1938 Alfa 8C. I couldn't help it. It's sooooo beautiful! To the point that I'm not sure if I even want to drive it. Don't wanna ruin its pristine condition :)

Can I ask if you used IRL money to get it, and if so how much?

Both parts are made up. Race rewards are not going up by 100%.
Yeah, I wish people would stop spreading rumors about this. If you're going to say something please start or end your post with either "In my opinion..." or "I think...". Saying "Next update will bring increase rewards for winning races by 100% but also raise car prices by 50%." without a "In my opinion" is very misleading.

Or even better, just quote official sources like this;

It's still not a guarantee because delays can happen, but it's as close as we can reasonably get.

Bought the Alfa 8C, and quite frankly, it's not really that bad for a car of the 1930s... I just wish we had events for these cars. The only other car that can match this one is the Mercedes S Barker Tourer.

PD should think of adding a few cars of this type, like the
Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic, the Bentley Blower, the BMW 328 Touring Coupe... The more events for the vastly different types of cars, the better. Only worry of course, would be the prices of these cars, but again, hopefully the payouts will get much better (if not, there's always the A-Spec Bob to the rescue).

It just looks like PD is only interested in Gr.4 and Gr.3 and neglect everything else.
