so why do YOU care how other people play the game?
Who said I care? Was merely dispensing some well meaning advice to people who might be as time-poor as me, and still want to enjoy the wealth of cars and tracks in GT7 😃

Then why are YOU mad at the tomahawk glitch in tokyo

Is the F50 worth it? Anyone has it and drove it around?

I did all the upgrades besides stroke/bore up, put racing hards on, and scaled it down to 700pp. To try in the Ferrari Catalonia race.

It was amazing - I had just done it with the F40 to make enough money to finish upgrading the F50… didn’t think it was possible but found the F50 even more enjoyable. With the power scaled down it can take some the long bends like a (slower) F1 car.

I gave up a lot of power to have a higher downforce (I don’t mess with the gears to hit a lower PP), and added a bunch of weight to the front. Will tinker some more but it’s up there with the Enzo and F40 for me.

^I mean, it sounds like you took the car and completely redesigned it. Kinda feels like defeating the purpose? LOL

Sorry, purist here.

No apologies necessary! If it makes you feel better, I didn’t touch the paint job lmao.

My defense is: I want to make the things work like they should. Or at least work for me. I am somewhere between TCS0/1 on most cars, but I can barely get through a curve in ones with 40-60 weight distribution. I’ve noticed it with MR cars online as well, but we can’t even adjust brake balance there yet so I don’t expect much.

Because its cheating I don't feel like you should be going around this forum promoting hacking the game.
It's not. It's nowhere near close to hacking - simply using the tools the game provides you (the vaunted PI system and the fact that you can fine tune it to whatever you want) or the tools provided by the online service (Remote Play)

^ I just made a comment saying I play an hour a day on Tokyo with the tomahawk… it was a simple comment… Im not promoting cheating whatsoever nor am I telling people they should be playing the game how I play it… theres a thread here dedicated to this exploit… I found out about the tomahawk because of the thread in this forum… I still have to put the time into the game to earn money even though it’s a guaranteed W lol

Ouch. I bought the XNR Ghia Roadster not really thinking about it and oh man, that was 1.6M out the window. And the F40, XJ13 and 911 GT1 are coming up. I'll undoubtedly goung to miss out on one of them, probably the XJ13.

So which ones are actually best to buy for the offline races? I heard the 2J is used a lot and the mazda 787b. I have the mclaren f1, but I like my zonda R a lot better (maybe I need to tune it?). Sorry, these are probably noob questions, this is all quite new to me.

I usually grind Tokyo 2 times and the 800 PP Races using various GT2 inspired cars i've made downloading liveries and applying upgrades with the occasional custom race in between. I agree PD need to add more events as soon as possible, especially for anything higher than 800PP the next update.

OT: I missed the Ford MKIV first time around so I will be purchasing that one along with a second F50 since my first one has max upgrades, I hate how they allowed us to turn the F40 into a Competizone but not allow us to atleast get the F50 GT Front end and spoiler; the car has pretty bad handling when maxed out unlike the F40 which is still twitchy but much better to get a hold of.
Oh yeah, I’m waiting for Praiano to make a tune for the F50 lol.

All I’ll say is that it’s a beautiful and powerful car that needs a proper tuning. If you have the credits, just buy it. If you’re really
apprehensive for whatever reason then wait I guess.

Honestly the most useful car in the game for me is the $800k 2016 NSX GT500. Available in the normal dealer. I feel like the $3M I spent on the penzoil gtr was a massive waste. Gt500 Supra was free from preorder, but it’s definitely worth the $1.5M price

Thanks, I'll check out the NSX! I have the NSX Gr.B which I like (better than the other ones) on dirt tracks. I just got the Tom's supra but haven't tried it yet.

I put Racing Hards, slotted brakes and racing brake pads, and an adjustable racing suspension on mine. Put the Roll Bars at Front - 5 Rear - 6 and maxed the Natural Frequency. It will win in the WTC700 events like Deep Forest easily.

I then add all of the Bolt Ons only and tried the WTC800 at Sardegna. IIRC it was around 710PP with 560+HP and I came in 2nd only 9s behind Portilla. I probably could have won if I was more focused and if I had used FM 4/5 a little instead of leaving it in 6 all race and pitting with 9% left, twice. Using Racing Mediums probably would have helped too, idk cuz you have to change those at least once if not twice.

Only had to slightly lift on a few corners on lap 14/15 once the hards got a little bit of wear on them. For not having much downforce it takes corners better than the 330 P4 and Testarossa. I always have to lift off in the LaFerrari and FXX K, but they are taking those corners much faster than the F50. The F50 is a very stable car with the above adjustments.

Sometimes they seem to really miss the mark and the cars are nigh undriveable. I'm still not sure how PD make those mistakes (maybe something lost in translation with the steering wheel/pedals we use, I dunno). What comes to mind here are the F40 and GT40 in GT5 (or 6?). Those cars sucked dick to drive and took some serious tweaking to make enjoyable. For GT7, so far my experiences have been pretty good other than many 911s being way way too unstable and prone to oversteer. As an aside, I don't use traction control for anything. Stopped doing that when I made the change from controller to wheel/pedals 8+ years ago.

Is there a formula to this? An exact way to know when certain cars come around? Because I've been waiting for the F40 since buying the game (started playing after it was last offered).

The F50 was a fantastic car in GTS. However I'm a bigger fan of the F40 and 288 GTO. The 288 is just sublime to drive (at least in previous versions) and with a little help the F40 is as well.

We've already gotten through the complete cycle of cars for the LCD and they're coming around again in order. There's a post a few pages back with estimates on when we can see each car again next. The first post in this thread also has a link to this page that shows the order and price of all the cars as they appeared that I usually check to see what just became available again and then what we can expect next (F40 is second in line for what is coming up next right now):

Personally, I think you absolutely NEED to buy the Gr.4 Alfa Romeo, the Gr.2 McLaren and one of the better Group C cars. I like the Sauber the most, a lot think the 787B is the best, although based on some numbers, the Jaguar might be the fastest. But if you have the money, I would buy all three. The Gr.3 McLaren is decent, but I don't think it's essential. The CLK-LM is good too but McLaren is better. There are a number of other really fun cars, but they aren't really essential for anything right now.

The 787B is probably the most performant car in the game relative to cost. You can enter it in 700, 800 and upcoming 900 races, and it seems to do well in every one of these.

Another good car is the Alfa 155 V6 Ti. Not only it's cheap, it's also by far the best Gr.4 car in the game, and can be downgraded to enter 600 races. If you don't want to use the Tomacheat, the Alfa is gonna ace that Human Comedy 620 mission.

Among the classic sportscars, the Miura is very fast and isn't very expensive. Better than the Countach, which is unstable at high speeds. The F40 is the cheapest of the super Ferraris and probably the most performant.

I could suggest the McLarens too but they're all very expensive.
