Little Things You Love about GT7?

As a rather big thing, it's the work they've done with Daytona, it is fantastic, but as a little detail it's definitely the signatures and messages on the finish line:

A good selection from the top of my head:
  • Physics/handling model in general. Even on a DualShock 4, it remains as involving as ever with motion steering enabled.
  • Dynamic time/weather conditions. The dry-to-wet Missions at Tsukuba and High Speed Ring were especially satisfying to master and the most competent I've been in the rain in any GT game.
  • The fact that you can get Gold in the 0-1000m drag race with a tuned-up GT-R Safety Car.
  • Having players from the GT World Tour in the game as instructors and AI opponents. As someone who has followed the World Tour through playing the FIA races in GT Sport, I appreciate the effort that has been made to connecting them with regular players like myself here.
  • The satisfying 'click' or 'clunk' you hear when you change gears in a sequential racing transmission.
  • Being able to freely switch between projection methods for decals in the Livery Editor, rather than having to select and make do with one before applying it.
  • The utilisation of the controller speaker to play certain in-game sounds (such when you wash a car or change the oil in GT Auto).
  • More music tracks from past GT games, including those from GT3-GT4. Being able to hear Daiki Kasho's GT3 tracks during replays on 'classic' circuits is an especially welcome callback. I very much look forward to the 'Glowl' Music Rally if that ever gets added in a future update.

Little thing I loved was playing the last race of the Menu’s on Nordschlieffe, as you come down the last straight the sun rises directly behind you in the rear view mirror…. Looks amazing!

First off, i must say - thank you for starting this thread; in the sea of negativity and hate about things we can't change, stands a beacon of joy and love for the things we have. I was thinking of starting a thread like this the last couple days so i'm glad it's already here 💖

The first thing that made me smile and just take it in for a bit, and i'm glad it's affected others similarly, is that cooling off pinging and tinking sounds in the screen after the race. Such a small thing, but hit so hard when i noticed it.

Then hearing the rain on the car, getting more intense at higher speeds, or how it intensifies momentarily as the wind picks up..

The headlights in your rearview, yea, but i admit i was gobsmacked when the sun went down on Mt. Panorama, and my headlights played shadows off the car ahead of me.. then the last lap all alone in pole i actually expected a roo to jump out of the darkness and shatter my windscreen! 😂

I've only noticed a bit of off-track animations, and i am a sucker for these details so i'll be looking for stuff now like the Bathurst UFO, or the Trial Mountain monkey - oh and that cricket chirp on Laguna Seca.. i know it'll catch me off guard and bugger my race 🤦‍♀️😅

So many more things i could mention but i'm ranting as it is.. just happy in not the only one still in love with GT7 😁

I saw a Kangaroo at Bathurst.
I think it was when I did that 2 lap race there, the one that finishes in the dark.

When I was watching the replay I saw it hopping across the field, beyond the wall, to the right of Conrod Straight.

I have lots of tiny details that I loved from watching various gameplay videos on Youtube but since my PS4 is still awaiting repairs, I'll start with something I've got my hands on: The 25th Anniversary Steelbook Edition and its line of merchandises. I was grateful to have won the whole set from Playstation Asia's #MyGTStory campaign earlier this month.

Aside from the cover art signed by Yamauchi-san himself, the Trial Mountain coasters are my favourite, feel like they're the most PD thing ever and I love it.

The exhaust tone of the NSX GT500... especially those downshifts. Sounds more like an F1 car than the current F1 cars.

The "orchestral" part at 3:16 of GT7's Moon Over the Castle appears to be played with almost the exact same instruments (trumpets I presume?) as the intro/outro parts of the original arrangement included in Masahiro Ando's "Andy's" single album.

Scape movies.

Watching those crosses into uncanny valley territory like I’m watching a real car.

The way rains pelts against the windscreen depending how heavy it is is also oddly satisfying.

There’s so much to love about the game in its crevices. On a technical and polish level it’s a work of art IMO.

- Got a new Nothing But Thieves song out of it

- Customisation is the best it has been for a long time, almost prefer it to Forza now, which I never thought I would say

- Driving still feels great on controller, especially with new haptics. Fanatec arrives this week, if UPS pull their finger out, so can't wait to try it.

- Used car showroom is good, loving checking it for the variety of cars, but honestly a part of me wishes it was on more of a rotation and the cars were priced a bit more realistically (compared to the UK)

- Missions and Licenses are challenging, and fun to discuss with friends. I feel compelled to Gold them all, and push to be a better driver.

It didn't find its way onto the track, did it?

LOL! They have all that power in their back legs, the easiest wall to jump over, passed multiple exits, and yet still stayed on track, and one even stacked it into a tire wall 🤣😂🤪

If they ruin my track experience gold there this will be me:

I like the trackside characters. The idiots sitting with their legs dangling over the entrances to the tunnels at Trial Mountain (reminds me of people like this) for instance, and the way they disappear when night draws in. Also the people casually moving around at the side of the track or crossing the bridge on SSRX. I don't recall seeing this level of animation before.

Also the headlights on certain cars actually give a beam that looks like headlights. The F40 for instance, the stock headlights are two distinct beams that light up the areas that should be lit up and leave others dark - especially the shadow created by the car ahead.

My favorite thing about GT7 is this new B-Spec mode. Honestly they should've added this from the beginning. I feel like Gene Haas, managing my race team completely hands-off.
GT4 had B-Spec mode, where you would tell the driver to go harder or ease off, when to pit, etc..

I actually started an endurance in gt4 b-spec mode first thing in the morning and went to school so it was done by the time i got home 😂

Didn't know gt7 has this though, still learning new things 🙃
