New seasonal: british lightweights + info and OCD update

I had an elise from an earlier seasonal that i had full tuned and it was right on 550pp with RS, as it hadn't been driven for a long time and i have learned allot about suspension and lsd settings since then so i gave it a tickle and what a blast I thought SR was on it had soooo much grip but nope all off except abs1 I love that little car hehe.

If you haven't tried the Lotus Esprit yet, take this British lightweight event as a chance to do so. I just bought the premium Esprit and it's a blast to drive! Probably not the best car for this event, but arguably the most fun one, it really feels like a sports car :)

And the Nürburgring TT, try a GT300 car. I bought the Weds Sport Celica from the OCD and went straight to track - no upgrades or settings changes - and even though it's 100 hp below the limit my first lap was 9:00.5xx. Messed up a bit on second lap but nailed it on third with 8:55.xxx. Pretty fun one as well :)

First I took a Stock standard Elise (I think it was the ´98Elise) => was tough but beatable

After that I killed it with the maxxed 111R with RS´s :D

@ejdme: Just buy them because now they are cheap and 0km :D It took me some time to buy 10Cars from the OCD.
But I´m going to buy my 4th FGT. (First was the "Force India"look allike, Second an Orange colour, third was the "Team Lotus"look allike and the 4th will be The Jordan one xD)

My disc has an invisible scratch that doesn't load nurburgring nordscheliefe nor the 24Hr track :(

You have my sympathies. You might be able to get a replacement from PD on the basis that you've paid to play the game and it's not your fault you can't make a backup copy. You may have to pay for media/postage. I've had replacements from Codemasters and Microsoft on this basis.

Good stuff ! Using a Caterham with all aids off and its proving to be a challenge. :)

Well finally it's time for some God Save The Queen rewarded fun, My idea is to go for an "alternative" Time Trial after the normal one.. that 1 lap/439.500cr at the Ring sound interestig, TVR Lotus and everything that can enter 550pp and weight less than 1200kg, a Shame for Jag and Aston but this is what we got so let's have some fun (and $$) at the Ring!

Love that they have a seasonal at the ring again. The only reason I liked the truck seasonal was because of the ring. I'm really looking forward to playing this when I get home from work.

My new favourite car is the '69 Camaro Z28 RM. Tuned to 389bhp, sports softs and too long gears I got 9:50 ish on the Ring TT after a couple of laps.

It'll never be top contender but it is surprisingly 'Ring friendly and better suspension/tranny setup and RH tyres I should be able to beat the 9 mins. More importantly I came away with a feeling of joy rather than the oft-experienced 'Ring frustration.

Plus the replay sound is awesome, and for me it's one of the coolest looking cars in the game.

As an aside, it was my first go on the 24hr circuit - I thought it had great atmosphere with all the tents and people dotted about. Maybe I was just caught up in the moment:lol:

Just ran through all 5 of them with a 550pp McLaren F1 detuned to 334hp and 1004kg. Piece of cake. Will be grinding Mt. Aso.

I used the Astra touring car for the ring trial did an 8:55 on 1st attempt with that car, previous attempt of restricted rkm tuned Mclaren F1 didn't fare well did a 9:09.

What layouts are their for the Nurb seasonals? Is the seasonal on the Nord, and the TT on the 24H?

I bought half of those cars over the last month in the regular OCD for "full" price...poo...
I may just buy them again for 0km...

Brilliant to see that someone at PD learnt from the expert seasonals. Very amusing to find an elise facing me after coming around the final corner at Tsukuba. God knows I spent a hell of a lot of time doing that a couple of weeks ago!:dopey:

Tsukuba is fine in slower cars and for few laps. If you've ever done the 9 hour endure you'll know the meaning of the word 'chore'

Ugh.

Some of us (read: me) haven't even tried the Tsukuba 9H of that very reason. Assuming one-minute laps with a minute-long pit stop twice an hour, that's about 58 laps per hour or 522 laps in nine hours. Factor in cars that can do a lap in well under a minute and can go more than half an hour without pitting for fuel and/or tires, and it should be no problem getting 550 laps.

Well, 'no problem' except for player fatigue....

I like this seasonal as the Lotus cars are fun. I also love the track selection with one exception .... The Tsukuba track. I like this track but the problem is I just spent a ton of time on it in a Lotus Elise trying to get that Expert Gold. This is the type of thing that bothers me about the seasonals. Too often the event is nearly identical to one we've already seen or one that's in the A-Spec series. If they used a different track for that first event this one would be perfect.

I choose to try an Evora this time around. I gave it some aero upgrades and a weight reduction to fit the guidelines and took it out with no other upgrades. I managed to Gold the Tsukuba event on the first try but I did't catch the last guy until the last lap.

You only get them if you finish 2 or 3rd, helmet or suit if you win.

Do you recieve chrome/matte/rare paints or random stuff?
I did the Nurb with a Speed 12, I was struggling to tame it down until 550pp, if you don't have engine spec 3 and gtauto rear wing you can do it. Fun car to drive on Sport Soft.

Dunno, not rubbish enough to finish 2nd or 3rd. :D

Only kidding, I would guess the paints you get are more of the rare kind, matte, chrome etc.

I saw a Lotus Elan in the UCD, so I decided to liven that up for the event.

Engine Rebuild
Chassis Overhaul
Full weight reduction
Rigidity Improvement
Full Engine mods (Except no turbo)
Full Driveline Upgrades (Except no LSD)
Middle of Range Suspension Option
Soft Race Slicks

WOW what a fun car to drive. Really enjoyed the event with this. Have shared it now so if you want a drive, just add me :)

Nurburgring and London were quite a nice challenge in this car

I'm loving the british lightweights, so much that ive grown an appreciation for british sports cars, just there great handling, and accelaration, not too mention they are fun to drive. It has also given me an opportunity to try different cars, so far ive used the cerbera, lotus esprit 350, griffith 500, elise 72, europa, several elises, the evora(which is such a challenge).

Two things i now love about england, dubstep and there sports cars.

You should try out the Elan too, I used it after the Caterham, awesome fun. 👍

looks like PD is preapering us for another Seasonal event:) maybe rally events - look ad OCD - road models and rally models only few of the racing cars, fgt and veyron:)
ayway thx PD:bowdown:

PD has done that several times before... and yet no rally seasonal... :grumpy:

Anyway, the seasonals look sweet... finally we get a chance to race in Montecarlo and London :) ... but then again Tsukuba :ouch:... man... Kaz has a sick love for that track... :yuck: I'm starting to hate Tsukuba...
