Well I just got home from work to see Ti-tech has improved massively again with that crazy laptime  I just watched it and I'm confused at the speed this guy has over the lap without it looking fast in replay if you know what I mean? I feel I could do it whilst viewing the replay but know that's just a pipe dream :dopey:

The lap is clean as a whistle and he must have nerves of steel to hold every corner so smooth yet fast, I would love to try his set up but would like to borrow his skillset to go with it :sly:

I'm not ar$e kissing here btw! just simple props where they are due considering the length of the track and concentration/effort it requires to be anywhere near the top 10 let alone be 2 seconds ahead of 2nd place :scared: anyway... It's a wicked lap Ti-tech, I never saw a sub 6 minute being possible over the duration of the combo, If you ever consider giving lessons on how to drive GT then book me a seat please
Well Done!

nerves of steel is right, i know if i'm setting a really good pace through the first half i start to make dumb mistakes or take bad lines towards the end.

Nice improvement Ron! a blink of an eye between our time lol :D
I hope i'll be able to run again!

Max speed top 235
Max.speed bottom 230
Final gear 3.677
4.286
3.110
2.304
1.868
1.450
1.202

Change into 3rd when off brakes into turn 1.let me know if any better.

I tried these settings and my first gear doesn't go down that far and there is a big gap (not spaced evenly) between 4th and 5th I think it is. Just wondering if thats intentional or do you set your gears differently than me. Its pretty good tho, I just have to get used to it as the shift points are far different than mine. Let me know about that gap tho and how I can get my first gear that low. I have a feeling I'm doing something wrong. Thanks again for the share. Peace. \/

The top guys on the Nordschleife re just sick, amazing ability. I have dropped to 140th, but I take solace in being the #11 ranked American. I'll aim for top 10 in my country, lol.

So frustrating ... threw away two +3 second laps on the very last corner today. This car seems very difficult to recover if you get out of shape.

Reached V4 of my setup - Changed quite a few things.

Got a better time, 6:10.721 (With about 1 seconds of easy time - wiped out at the end, nearly). Sadly I don't have more time for another run. Did around 15 minutes of driving. Was chasing DUB's ghost and I lose lots of time in the first sections, so gotta work on those.

Obsidian-2, give my 2J version a go, It's pretty good to drive :P

I've just got the 29th position on nurburgring (6:08:876). I'm confused I never been so high up on the leaderboards. I have only little mistakes here and there on my lap.

I´m expecting to be sent flying off the board as usual. I get the feeling a lot of good drivers are not giving it a try? Could that be it? Or it´s just that the track is very long and everybody is having a hard time staying on the track?

You're easily safe for the rest of the time trial. I reckon anybody below a 6.12.000 will stay in the top 250.

Massive thanks to KB18FAN:tup:.

Used his tune without the gearbox settings, cause i couldnt figure out how, got me a 56.3xx.

Finally figured out how to set gearbox got me a 54.8xx:)(and on top of my friendslist, in which he is 2nd now;))

The Mitsubishi FTO touring car will be good on the Ring but, I doubt it will beat a 2J. Think I'll try the FTO first to see if I can get the gold with it, then I'll powerlimit a 2J to see how bad I am compared to the top guys =oD

I can get the most consistent times with this car at 475 HP. Best time is 7:15.000. Everything else, I can't quite keep on the road.

Not trying to start any arguments, but what I have read on here suggests assists are bad. And that active steering is also bad. From my experience with gt5 so far, the controller requires active steering, abs and some times traction control to be competitive with guys on the wheel. I'm 2nd on spa with active steering, tcs and abs, on a controller, should I not post a time because of that? Just a thought

You must've read wrong...
Oh you're 2nd, good for you?

Thanks lammy and good job on your lap. Appreciate the compliment. Gonna have a serious go at this now that I'm done tuning so don't get used to that #1 spot on your friends list too much cause I'm comin' for you my friend, lol. We've at some good battles in the past and you will not get the best of me this time, lol. Peace. \/

Anything goes .... that's what separate the real drivers and the virtual drivers. Real drivers aim a lap time that reflect his own ability, regardless of the state of tune of his car, and he is keeping it real by not resorting to exploits or driving aids. He will be proud of his not so quick time compared to those virtual drivers who uses any means necessary to gain better lap times.

Which one deserve respect ? We all know which one ... be true to yourselves, do you all gain that quick times because your own skills, or because exploits, aids and a so called " great car tune". A great driver could extract the most of any car, and he won't bother with others remarks saying the car tune bogged him down or he DID NOT USE any AIDS like others did. Surprising really if some of the GTP drivers have come to this state of mind, using aids, exploits and others tune just to level the playing field and getting a spot on the leaderboard...when will the driver skill gets the credit ???

Sorry I thought I quoted

Great work with your rank 👍
Everyone who is on top 50 got skils, it doesn't matter are you using assists...wheel or controller... :)
I can just dream on geting on TT's top250
I like more DT's :)

Sorry I thought I quoted

Forget what the elitists say. The assists are there for everyone to use. If they are permitted in the event, there is nothing wrong with using them. Just ignore all the elitist comments. This is a game with friendly competition, play it how you like. As long as you are playing by the rules, you're fine. Peace. \/

Assists are always bad, but imo the 'fake ones' are. Tcs and abs are realistic, they appear on real cars in real life, but how is active steering and asm at all realistic?

It's up to people of they use them or not, but to me the computer controlling oversteer and always interfering with steering isnt right! I thought gt was the real driving simulator....

I'm going to add a +1 to the vouch for KB18FAN's tune. I borrowed his 905 last night and got down to a 1:54.173 which was good for 67th on the leaderboard at the time.

I'm still leaving probably 0.6sec on the table but just can't seem to string it together. I can consistently be up 0.4 at the first split only to throw it all away in the second sector. And I can't ever nail the chicane at the end of the lap properly.

With that said.......I'm satisfied, I've never cracked the top 250 before......it's good to find out that if I took the time to tune my cars on these TTs I'm much more competitive. Looks like I'll have to collaberate with KB18FAN on tunes from now on!

Cheers

Rob

Theres room for improvement.on gearbox..but I use that 1st ratio for engine braking into turn 1,my first sector is 29.2xx so maybe I need to adjust.3rd and 4th I like very close.will update you if I improve. :)

I too couldn't for the life of me set up the gearbox ,still on a 55.5 .How do you guys do it I can't match the ratios at all.

Thanks again you guys for all your kind compliments. I appreciate it more than you know. Like I said before, it gives me a sense of pride knowing I have been of some help. I put alot of time and effort into this tune and I'm pretty proud of it. Now, if I could only figure out how to drive the damn thing, lol. Peace. \/

Thanks that's good to hear. But my paranoia has kept me driving faster :nervous:. I'll just keep trying until I feel there is very little room for improvement and it's not worth it.

The lap looked crazy fast to me. He is also not losing active steering which is also good to see. Pure car control achieved through fast transition between brakes and throttle and precise steering. I didn't have a close look on the e-brake, so I wonder if he is using it. Might help him improve further but not totally sure on that.

AS off is faster, at least for me but with Mr P's tune it's very understeery.
I have no interest in doing this anymore but with AS off I see a 6'03.
Did try yesterday for about 20 minutes, managed to go faster throughout the lap but kept losing it.
Ti-tech's lap is insane, he nailed the speeds for every corner possible.

I will go back for some more laps defo... but busy at work for the next 4 days :grumpy: Looking forward to a fresh start and see how close to the top 5 I can push it 👍 It's the most interesting combo I see anywhere to race at the moment and until the deadline falls I will keep pushing my luck :sly:

GL to all still running this madness

Thanks to UsualSuspect for letting me borrow his dead oil 2J btw 👍

Yeah its a wicked lap for sure, I just don't like how much faster than mine it is :P

Thanks for posting your tune KB,it was very helpful.
I missed the engine braking in 1st gear at first and going through the slower corners in a gear less than normal was weird but I adapted to it and after just a couple of re-starts and 4 full laps I managed wipe a second of my old time :)
Managed to get into the 54s 👍
