Anyways, anyone have a spare 2J they can lend me for this one?

Thanks for sharing man,

My 2J is online, its not full fat anymore , I lightened the ballast some.
I'll post the tune here next time I'm on GT5.

Nice driving btw, I see you went 6'12 👍

Anyone cleared the DT for racecars? Tried with XJR-9 but can't gold it! :grumpy:

The old corvette racecar is perfect for drifting. Max out Hp and its very gentle.

Good luck:)

:cool:Cool, now I know it's my driving that's slowing me :banghead:

Hey KB,
Your set is very good, I did about 5 laps and ended up ~350
Thanks man 👍

I may hop on the 905 wagon too, if I can find one

Glad you liked it and thanks for the compliment. I tried with the 905 for about an hour just now and no matter what I do to it, its junk. I know its a good car as the leader boards prove, but for some reason I can't get a good tune on it. I did improve my time alittle tho with my Speed 8. My Toyota GT-ONE is probably my fastest tho but I can't get that damn thing to turn and hug the turns like my Speed 8 or my Audi. I really would like to figure out whats wrong with my damn 905 tho, lol. I'll put my Speed 8 tune up after I eat. Peace.

Drop rear down force to like 67-70, Max at the front. This is for the 905. Add a bit of toe, and a bit of camber, slam the thing down and it's good to go.

Just did Ring 2 laps 6:34.024..Like I sayd TT's isn't my thing
DT's seems to be my thing more 👍
On Race car Drift Trial at Clubman Stage Route 5 just did 22591 pts.
I bet I can easily hit 23k if I found some time for it :)
And feel free to add me, my tools are on share 👍
EDIT: I hate blank fr's so just put your GTP user name on it 👍

Here the tune for the 2J:
I've just done a 6:12.1xx with it
(twitchy made 6'08 with same)

2J Chaparral, Nordschleife

ABS:1, no other aids.

Ballast 108/+50
Limit to 600PP

Gearbox:
1.205
858
675
F 4.300
MS 340 km/h

LSD 6/24/22

Brakes 3/4

Suspension:
10/-10
10.6/13.9
5/5
5/5
6/3
1.5/1.1
0.08/-0.48
I made some minor tweaks based on what you said twitchy.
I think this is golden, it's so forgiving and quite fast

Managed a 6:16, in a borrowed 2J, was 81st in the world when I did it, was extremely happy with the lap, reckon a perfect lap for me could see me get a 6:10. Spent an hour and a half of frustration trying to run a quick clean lap, stopped after I did that 6:16. It's so hard to get a clean lap, one small mistake e.g. carrying a bit too much speed through a corner and running slightly wide and that's your lap ruined. So frustrating but rewarding when you nail a lap.

Good luck everyone 👍

Had another dash at this - In the Gillet Vertigo - Just scraped a Gold at Francorchamps but you have to use it in Belgium or they don't put any Mayo on their tasty chips (Frites - Fries)

Amazed how much driver aids the aliens use. I had a peep and only 2 drivers out of the top 100 were not using any driver aids. Then again they seem to over run many corners. I've much to unlearn if I really want blood lower than pH 3.

The vertigo is much fun though. Not quite sure where the engine is with only 50% power... best to upchange at 60% of the redline I'd imagine. Have to test restricted engines, see what th epower curve is actually delivering.

sorry bit of a rant.

nothing to see.

It all depends an the torque curve. You need to shift at a point that drops the rpms no more than at or just below the cars' peak torque rpm.

If no one is gonna use the thread that beat the other one by 5 minutes then just close it. :(

ASM mild activated should result in 5 second penalty.

ASM strong activated should result in 10 second penalty. :)

I am not surprised that many of the top 10 users activate it to remain competitive, but it's also a big turn off, having a computer correct your mistakes.

ASM mild = the system will allow for a certain amount of oversteer.

ASM strong =will correct even minor oversteer, allowing for a more stable driving experience.

It's hard to gawk at a low 6 minute lap when a computer assists every fault. :(

Decided to try something that isn't a 2J on the Ring, did a 6:35.xxx in a Takata NSX

I'm with you there- the top 4 or 5 on the last deep forest tt all had active steering strong

I decided not to use the 2J for the ring... fast or not, I just don't like the combination. I ended up using the Ford GT Spec II Test Car, and got gold with some non-competitive race time :P

I always use active steering 'strong' when I bother to run time trials... it won't get you from 50th to 1st, but it's worth a tenth or 2. IMO, active steering is fairer than allowing tuning... much more of an advantage in having a tune from a really fast guy than using active steering.

Have run a couple fo short sessions in the 2J, but not reall got the feel for it yet. I'm around 6:10 at the mo, but finding it hard to get the front end nailed. Will be coming for you when I suss it though Ron ;)

Also had a quick go in the 905 at Spa and I must be missing someting with this one as I'm c.4s off the pace  Prolly smmut to do with ballast/power, but buggered if I know how I can be 4 s off!

Ran the Toscana drift trial, got gold, won't bother with that one again, but the SSR5 one is quite good fun.

Pretty good effort from PD this round 👍

I might see what effect active steering and other aids have on my lap time.

I did my lap with no aids except abs on 1. I will only try the aids to see if it will give me enough of an advantage to get closer to the leaders. The 2J felt fine with all aids off, no oversteer on acceleration, and mild oversteer when turning in and braking simultaneously, but I sorted that out by changing the brake balance.

Good luck everyone 👍

@ PJ: I will try that tune mate, reckon it'll be fast.
Also, noticed that P1 is running with dirty oil, might try that myself, since I'm a natural born dirty cheater (just kidding). haha

Im on 68th place a the moment with a 6:14.050, had a couple red 6:12ish times, just a matter if time nailing the "perfect" lap ;)

I myself go slower with Active steering on, but I like the car to be a bit "loose" at the rear. When I turn Active steering on, my car understeers. I dont see any advantage with it.

What setup have you gone for with the Speed8

Hi mate,

I wouldn't really call it a setup!:dunce: i lowered it, have max df and then setup the gears to suit the straights. The speed8 is good handling but I've now gone quicker in the R8, into the 54's just!

I'll be trying to go faster with the speed8 soon, if I get a nice setup I'll let you know. Best of luck!

Finally....got on the leaderboards for the Spa event. I'm at 225 with a time of 1:56.222. I switched cars and am using my beloved Bentley Speed 8. This is my baby and I really didn't think it had it in her but after alittle more tuning and seeing there was one as high as 27th place, I decided to give her a go. Pretty sure I can sqeeze some more time out of her with a few more tweaks. Anyway, for anyone that wants to try it, here's the tune.

AERO 60/85
LSD 8/22/10
RH 15/-28
SR 13.8/14.0
EXT 9/4
COMP 8/4
ARB 3/4
CAMBER 2.2/1.8
TOE -0.08/0.16
BRAKES 5/9
TRANS

2nd 1.698
3rd 1.347
4th 1.118
5th 0.946
6th 0.810
FG 3.282
TS 149mph with a top speed at the top of 217mph.
Hope this helps anyone in need. Peace.

Yep I see the dirty oil in 1st place car also... will run mine dead and see what's happens? Hopefully it plays transformers and develops wings haha :P Can't take anything away from his lap though it is blazing fast! I just loaded his ghost and beat my previous best by.4 within 3 attempts just by chasing his ghost :dopey:

Back up to 5th on a 6'06.3xx with more to come off for sure but I don't think a 6'03 is drivable in my car? a flat 6'05 will have to do :sly:

I'll be back 👍

Just got 6'16.8xx (using Fobia's tune) which got me to 125. This time I'm using my GTP account. I've already had a couple of laps that were about 2s faster, but messed up at Pflanzgarten. I think I can get to 6'15's.
