If you watch real racing at Laguna- you're taking different lines throughout the turns than the real racers do. People talk about elevation changes, there seems like none in Laguna on Shifts version.

Is anyone having swaying issues using a Fanatec GT2 Wheel and CSP pedals? I can't even play the game with the wheel, but it is a good time with the controller.
I will have this wheel in a few days. As of now with a DFGT it took lots of settings and turing the FF down to 85ish to get it smooth.
no caterham r500 and radical sr3 full lock bug rant yet?
I currently on GT1 championship, Mount Panorama (7th out of 10) race and no matter which car i choose i can't even finish one lap. Game freezes every single time. Is there anyone who finished this championship without any problems ? 👎👎
I've left Works Races for now because I'm almost sure it's going to be a nightmare for me.
right now i can't wait for new F1 2011 game hoping it's going to be free from all flaws

There are two places on that track where the game usualy freezes on the PS3... you just have to lift the throttle a bit when you get to those places... its a bit of a nightmare, I know, but Ive done the championship twice...
@vaxx
WHEN the game freezes its usually near the end of longest straights near top speed. Just avoid touching the red line after 3rd gear and all should be well. (it works for me anyway)
Wow this game must really suck on the PS3 (freezes). I didn't experience anything like that on PC. I think I've only crashed less than 4 times total or something
* Btw for drifting, tryout Dirt 3
I use a wheel and it works wonderfully unlike shift 2 with my wheel

You have obviously never played the game
I've given this game (PS3 version) several chances to grow on me but I'm really having a hard time with the handling. I've tried different cars, several recommended wheel settings but I never felt like I was in full control of the car. I had fun and was at least an above average racer in GT5, Forza 3, and Dirt 2 (PS3) and F1 2010 (PS3), Shift 2 was a chore most of the time.
I've sold my copy already. I hope whoever bought it will have more fun than I did.
OldF@rtThis game has so much going for it its flaws are so frustrating.
I'm using a PS3 and, yep, still got noticeable lag. It's not too bad on wide, fast corners, but plays hell with any attempt at mid-corner corrections or any precision. Of all the things you could possibly stuff up on a racing game, steering would have to be the worst... Unless it's random hangs at full speed, although I haven't come across this yet.
The other thing that bugs me is that the game in its appearance seems so clearly aimed at 15-year-old American kids (semi-clad grid girls, loud-mouthed Yank shouting in your ear etc). Methinks this is one of the causes of its low sales - said 15-year old US kids found it had more depth than they expected, and the more serious sim-type drivers were turned off by such features and of course bugs.
I wish SMS well with the C.A.R.S project - they obviously have a lot of talent and would probably do better outside EA's market requirements.
