ORS | GT Championship Season 1

As we have got pairs of cars on track for the season, I say we get back into Teams again, Yes we had it last season but not to the extent that we have had in the past, we use to share tunes between team mates and apply the same paint jobs and driver suits, I think we should all make teams for each car again.

Who else is in the Audi??? I will start thinking of idea for the Audi Team

I'll happily share tunes and tips with Vendal, however like the choice of car I have no intention of making Vend use the same colour as me as it should be his choice and I will not change mine now.
I think the presentaion of the car should be an individual choice as was the car.

Sorry, mustn't of came out right, im not trying to force you to do team things, like painting the car the same colours, but it would just be nice to get into teams again, IF you both are interested, Making up a team name and making a team logo (of my MS paint method or others 3 hour photoshop jobs) but obviously you do not have to do these things...

Somebody missed this part of my post.

Teams are limited to 2 drivers only. They can be made up of either T1 and/or T2 drivers that are driving the same car. Teams can choose to run the same or reverse colours as their team mate. Wheel choice is open. Feel free to give your team a name and logo. Once you have decided on your team let me know and it will be posted here.​

But yeah teams are decided by car. I do advise sharing tunes, creating a team name/theme etc. I'm not enforcing colours but do believe team mates should actively help each other out.

As Red and Rota have picked the Audi R8 they are now team mates.

Yeah but im just trying to get more into it like we use to be in the ISF series and other past ones where we use to really get into the whole team thing, I would share and help out with tuning extensively with my team mate (not that it ever helped them) and I would hide it and not tell others who weren't in the team haha (yes i know it wouldn't matter as they are different cars now)

But just keen to get back into it all

Yeah me too mate. I am super keen to get back into the whole team practice sharing and hiding like we did in the IS-F series. Those were great times with teams. Hopefully we can do that again. I'll be a bit more active this time hosting tune/practice rooms this season. So hopefully we can get some team rivalry going on again.

ORS GT | SEASON 1 | TEST RACE 1 BRIEFING​

On the 25th of March (Monday) we will be running a test race. Use this race to decide your car if you haven't already made a decision. All standard ORS rules apply and pre race scrutineering will be held before qualifying.

Test Race One (1) will be a 40 lap race around Polyphony's Grand Valley Speedway.

Drivers will need to be mindful of not using the concreted areas. You are permitted to use the run offs exiting turn 1 and on entry/exit of the final turn. The ORS white line rule applies at all times during qualifying and racing. While this is a test race and no penalties will apply i expect you all to follow the rules.

Regarding pit exit please use common sense if you come out in front of another driver. I suggest everyone to keep right and HOLD your line. Also be mindful of your entry speed to the pits. Anything faster than 120kph will see your B-spec be reset and time lost.

If you do have an off be wary of the reduced grip level once you've rejoined the track. Also when rejoining, please aware of your position on the track relative to your fellow races. Drivers rejoining the track must give way to race traffic and not become an obstruction.

Now finally all drivers will be qualifying and starting on the racing hard compound for this test race.

Fantastic racing last night boys. Everyone was clean and followed the rules. Kudos to you all. There looked to be some good battles throughout the field even with the short notice that was given. The lap times were quite close for everyone (except for 1) throughout the field with no practice. I'll ensure you are given enough notice for the test race 2 so you can practice a little more.

I hope you all figured out the strengths and weaknesses of your own car and your competitions that race. Some cars are monsters in the corners while others are monsters down the straights. This series will be all about planning and setting up your overtake and should lead to some exhilarating overtaking moves.

In regards to test race 2 you must ensure your car's engine is ran in as there will be scrutineering before qualifying and after each race. Also i would like to remind all that you are not permitted to enter the tuning screen once scrutineering has started. You are free to tune your car in the room before scrutineering takes place.

As i mentioned in the room last night. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask. As the series hasn't started yet it is best you mention anything concerns now before we get into the main event.

Hey everyone, Sorry I couldn't make the race last night, sounds like you had fun from what oni posted, but now im curious who the 1 person was that was pulling much better lap times then you all.....was toiv racing last night?

Toiv dominated last night. Maybe he should be given a go-kart or dip his power level down by 500hp and add 1000kg of ballast his lap times on old tyres were just too quick.

Yeah toiv dominated last night. Was 1 second faster than the field in qualifying and able to maintain a pace on used tyres that we could only do on new tyres. Also won the race by 14 seconds while only doing a 1 stopper.

Team Triple R had a photo shoot in a few different locations today, to formally introduce RED ROTA RACING, here are some team shots!

I got the trolley from Coles. The ones from Wollies are much better. Great racing last night everyone even though I watched you all disappear over the horizon. Nice photos there Rota. Red Rota Racing should be a force, watch out for Bad Bulls though, heard they go hard.

Hey oni those first 8 laps were intense but fun, did you like the smoke screen i was making ?
I tortured my tires and could only get15 laps out of the hards, 13 and then 12 laps out of the mediums.
My tune still need some work. Great run from toivo! so good on his tires .

Haha yeah Wayne you were punishing those tyres as every corner we came up to there was smoke, smoke and more smoke. Those opening laps were intense. I had to pit early cause you were pushing me too hard and eating my tyres so decided to get in early and do 2 stints on the mediums. Only problem was the traffic was near impossible to pass. Everyone held their line beautifully and as the Viper lacks straight line speed i couldn't make moves even in the draft so had to wait for a mistake and fly down the inside on a corner.

Turned out to be a very intense race in the Viper due to it not being able to gain ground in the draft.

BTW - Loving the Triple R. They going to be tough to beat this season.

Great photos Jase and Rota! With so many nice cars this season I'm hoping that we will see a few more guys getting into the photo mode. RRR Team Audi is looking really good and seriously quick.

The GTR was super stable but struggled to keep pace with the rest of the cars on Monday night. Maybe if I painted it RED it might go faster? Seemed like the common theme on the 1-2-3 podium.

I had some awesome racing with Team Gallardo and Team Mercedes for pretty much the whole race. Well done guys. Look forward to more of the same through out the season.

I will have to do some more testing with the other remaining cars before the next test race.
