^^ Agree Rota, nice work Ev 👍👍👍, we'll have to be our toes to keep the 1080 GT's in sight.

Great racing last night guys, couldn't get near my best times in practice, just couldn't get it together for a real quick one, is age catching up with me? LOL. Of course the start was somewhat marred by my incident with Arie that caught my team mate and Mr T out as well. I was deep under brakes but confident I was going to pull it up when Arie shot forward, initial thoughts where he'd slipped on the brake pedal but then the messages started to come in and I realized what had happened. I lost a bit of concentration at that point and a bunch of positions as the field is too strong if you're not 100% on your game. Another moment with Moon on Lap 9 of my doing didn't help matters either so i pitted at 10 with Moon and decided pull up for 15 secs or so to hand the position back to Arie.
Latter on, i had fun trying to chase down Moon and Mik who i think where on a one stop strategy where I was on two. Came right down to the end of lap 36 when Moon and I got a little loose on the final corner of the main straight and Mik came from behind to basically carve his way straight through the middle of us both and hung on til the end (on worn hards) to claim P6 - top drive under pressure. 👍

I pretty much knew it straight away that it was a lag incident. From my replay I was smack bang in the middle of a Dodge Viper sandwich as I get a massive shove in the rear from Jase and get sent flying into the corner almost straight into Oni. You can see the cars contact in my replay.

To avoid taking him out I point my car to the apex and manage to only side swipe his right side as I went off the track. Unfortunatly the laws of physics and momentum spin me 180 degrees and park my car onto the track. Taital really had no where else to go so we hit each other both head on.

There was no requirement for you to give back position Jase as we all can only react to what you view from your screen. If in your view you are not repsonsible for an incident then I feel you should simply carry on racing. But lets hope going back to the regular room settings will settle the amount of cars lagging.

I had a similar incident between me and Rod in one of our Tuesday races where from my view/replay he's bumped me and I've gone into a massive slide but from his view/replay there was a clear gap between our cars.

Incident Videos & Post Details from our Ozcomobro forum for those interested

The teams aspect of Season 10 is proving really interesting. Hope it continues through to the racing where drivers will be actively be working together to place both cars high to maximise team points.

Team Ying Yang racing have some serious testing to do before the official Round 1 race at Nurburgring GP/F next week to pick up their pace.

Hey guys :)
It looks like my Monday's have freed up so I'll take a Wildcard or a drive if there is any left :)

I agree mate and it's important this is understood by the whole field. Putting the stewards hat on, if Driver B causes an incident with driver A but from driver B's point of view there was no obvious contact made between vehicles resulting in said incident, there would be no in-race requirement to ceed a position under these circumstances. Very much the same as the situation with Rod on your OCMB forum. Obviously some points compensation maybe appropriate in an after race review, but again there is no enforcable requirement to pull over in-race and give back a position under these circumstances. :)

Cool!. We'll we have 1 full time spot left so if you want it it's yours. Test some of the remaining cars below and let me know what you want to drive for the season.

Available Cars
Aston Martin V12 Vantage - x1 (challenge car)
Lamborghini LP640 - x1
Ferrari 430 Scuderia -x2
Ferrari 599 - x2

Can't decide between the 430 Scuderia or the Lamborghini LP640.. :indiff:

The 599 should be the challenge car, the thing is a pig :scared:

Haha indeed it is. However the 599 is fast once you get the setup sorted unlike the V12 Vantage where it needs an alien to drive it.

The 430 Scud is a lot easier to be consistent in while the LP640 is quick out of the corners and through em thanks to the AWD.

I would have chosen the V12 but it's bad omen. It was the car that killed my modem.

I have the 430 dancing and lapping quicker than the Lamborghini. So I'll take the Scud :-)

Great choice Waynz. I'll lock you in for the Scud. At least we will now see 1 ferrari in the field during the season ;)

Here's how the fields looking.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage - Toivo
Audi R8 5.2L - Rota/Red
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C6 - rod/velly
Dodge Viper SRT ACR - Oni/jase
Lamborghini Gallardo 560-4 - Cac?
Lamborghini LP640 - Jol_1
Ferrari 430 Scuderia - Waynz
Ford GT40 - evan/Mick
McLaren MP4-12C - Jon/Vend
Mercedes SLS AMG - Mik/MrT
Nissan GTR SpecV - arie/moon

I'll start with an entree of sauteed Mediums, over a bed of "Rouge Lucifer" Gallardo, with a drizzle of RRR sauce over the top, and i'll take it to go, thanks.

:dopey:

Hi all,

I would like to signup for this although I do not know if I can make the race each time due to family (this is not a concern for round 4 onwards).

If I can signup, I would like one of the lambo's and start on hards. (gallardo is preferred if it does not matter)

I do not know if I can get the car fully run in before race start, if this is the case, how many HP should I reduce my car from the restrictions as to not fail scrutineering at the end of the race?

ORS GT | SEASON 1 | PRE RACE BRIEFING

The opening round for the ORS GT Championship will being in Germany around the much loved Nurburgring GP/F for a 48 lap race.

ORS_GT_S1_R1_zps7a57a60c.jpg

The ORS white line rule applies at all times during qualifying and racing. If you are found to be cutting corners consistently or frequently then you will be penalised by the stewards. Penalties can range from point deductions, 1 race bans and up to disqualifications from the entire ORS GT season 1. Ensure you have read all the rules in the opening post (page 1).

Regarding pit exit you cannot cross the pit exit line when exiting the pits. Please use common sense when you merge onto the racing line. Remember the car behind has right of way when you exit the pits. You may enter the pit at speed without incurring a penalty.

If you do have an off be wary of the reduced grip level once you've rejoined the track. Also when rejoining, please aware of your position on the track relative to your fellow races. Drivers rejoining the track must give way to race traffic and not become an obstruction.

All drivers must ensure their cars have been ran in to avoid failing scrutineering. You must ensure your car is set to the ORS GT Specifications as shown on page 1 before scrutineering begins. Once scrutineering has started you are prohibited from entering the tuning screen. Failure to comply will result in an immediate -15 point penalty each time you enter the tuning screen. Failing after race scrutineering will incur a -25 point penalty.

Now finally all drivers must make sure they submit their tyre choice for qualifying/race start by 11:59pm tonight. Once your tyre choice has been submitted you cannot change it.

Regards,

Oni

Hey mate.

Currently the driver list is full. However i will put you on the wildcard list until a spot opens up. Tomorrow night (8th April) the first race will have a full 16 driver attendance. However if at late notice a driver fails to enter you may join the race. If you are interested i suggest you be ready online in case i message you to join.

As stated in the opening post on page 1 any new drivers to the ORS series are put into Tier 1. Therefore you only have the Lamborghini LP640 available for use out of the Lamborghinis.

I'd recommend you by a new car and build it to the specifications noted on page 1 then put the car in the Grand Valley 300k B-Spec endurance race over night to ensure the car will not fail scrutineering.

If you have further questions don't hestiate to ask.

Cheers,
Oni

Ok thanks for the wildcard listing. I will sort out the lambo LP640 tonight then. What colours should I be running? (what colours are being run in any other lambo's?)

I'm running the Lambo's yellow at the moment, i may change it by tomorrow as i don't really like the yellow but i can never decide on a good colour.

Well if you are not happy with yellow, I chose the lambo green when I bought it.

I think I saw a photo of cactass in a green lambo with red rims...we could run something like that?

Dear Red, Due to our recent addition of an extra team member, and the high number of cars in the series running red or black paint jobs, me and cac were thinking a colour change for Team RRR, You probably will be on early so we can sort out the colour change before Race 1 tonight, If not, we shall aim for a team revamp for Race 2.

Thankyou :D

Guys, remember before joining the room tonight make sure you do the following.

- Check your NAT type (through XMB internet test or via 'my lounge settings' in GT menu)
- Disable your PS3 media server under network in the XMB
- Clear your GT5 cache under network in the GT5 options menu

Ensure you all do this so we may have a stable race.
