Cac & Arie - Thanks for sharing those videos. The opening battle between Jol was intense and Arie you did a good job capturing everyone during that race. Nice to see there were battles happening everywhere all the way up to the finish line.

great footage in the reply. You got me once...from the start in last until I went off first lap at schumacher S lol.

Wish there had been some of my battle with jasr in the Viper till I ran out of fuel lol.

I'll be starting on HARDS thanks Oni.

In fact I think most things about this race will be hard. It's going to be a tough race.

With all that in mind, here's a mascot for this week's event:

ORS GT | SEASON 1 | PRE RACE BRIEFING

Round two of the ORS GT Championship will held around the famous Monaco F1 circuit (Côte d'Azur) for a 55 lap race.

ORS_GT_S1_R2_zps5f8c9f0a.jpg

The ORS white line rule applies at all times during qualifying and racing. If you are found to be cutting corners consistently or frequently then you will be penalised by the stewards. Penalties can range from point deductions, 1 race bans and up to disqualifications from the entire ORS GT season 1. Ensure you have read all the rules in the opening post (page 1). Ensure you do not cut the chicane by riding the ripple strips through turns 9 & 10. Below is a visual reference of what is acceptable and unacceptable.

ORS_GT_RippleStrip_Rule_zps90f5301c.jpg

Regarding pit exit, please use common sense when you merge onto the racing line. Remember the car behind has right of way when you exit the pits. You may enter the pit at speed without incurring a penalty.

If you find yourself with heavy damage please stay off the racing line to ensure you do not become an obstruction for those around you. Be aware of your position on the track relative to your fellow races at all times.

You must ensure your car is set to the ORS GT Specifications as shown on page 1 before scrutineering begins. Once scrutineering has started you are prohibited from entering the tuning screen. Failure to comply will result in an immediate -15 point penalty each time you enter the tuning screen. Failing after race scrutineering will incur a -25 point penalty.

The following drivers need to ensure they are carrying the below ballast for Monday night.

rotamasta7 - 35kgs (1415kg)
Oni_chan - 25kgs (1305kg)

Failure to comply can results in 1 race bans to removal from the series.

Now finally all drivers must make sure they submit their tyre choice for qualifying/race start by 11:59pm tonight. Once your tyre choice has been submitted you cannot change it.

Regards,

Oni
ORS Committee

Race results page states Monaco 45 lap race.

Race debrief now states 52 laps?? Wasted a lot of time during the week now running old compound strategy....

Race is actually now 55 Laps. :yuck:

And, yes, Oni does have a habit of changing the race length at the last minute, causing all of us to scratch our heads wondering just how the heck we're going to get the tyres to last and what our new strategy might be. Even the best laid plans often go astray due to damage, creating extra, unplaned pitstops, unplanned tyre usage(eg. DRZ), and requires the drivers to jumble maths in the head at the same time as driving the car. Being the Crew Chief and Driver at the same time is very hard, and will crop up a lot in these series, and believe me, it's more often the norm than the exception with me. So in summary, we all hear you, and share your pain, because we're all in the same boat.

Welcome to the ORS Challenge.

Hards For me Mr. Chan. (you EVIL person you. :grumpy:)

For anyone without a PC, and using the PS3 for browsing GTP, try these links for the Tables/Graphs normally listed on Page#1. (These links are of lower quality but usually work on the PS3, whereas the Page#1 links do not. PC users are better off using the Page#1 links.)

Have we tested this on mobile devices?

How will I know if there is a spot for me as a wildcard? And if so I will use the Ferrari 430.

Just add me to your friends list and be online from 8:30pm (Sydney Time). If a spot turns up available then ill send you a PM on the PS3 to join in for qualifying. If it looks like a full room ill let you know and not keep you waiting around.

I wouldn't worry too much about strategy changes just because I expect much to happen which will mean people will have to change strategy on the fly anyway.

Being a tight street circuit, there is a high chance for having to pit early for damage and much harder to make a pass meaning you could be stuck behind someone forcing an early pit for clean air and less tire wear.

Probably best to have a strategy in mind that is easy to adapt as the race unfolds.

Make sure you read all the rules and regulations as there is quite a lot to remember with tyres allocation etc, make sure your car meets all requirements.

Good luck and we might see ya in the room tonight

Ying Yang Press release

***Steward's Alert***

During the last practice session it was noted over the team radios a lot of chatter between teams about the pace of Ying Yang Racing and attempts to hold the GTR's up and limit their lap times.

An official complaint will be logged if Ying Yang Racing sees any team colluding.

Just a question, since I am using the 430 can I take off a bit of power so I can have more downforce without exceeding the PP limit.

Yes, as long as your car does not exceed the power, weight and PP limits you can set it up as you please.

Yes you can ... As long a you do not have a lower weight or higher BHP you can drive a 10,000kg car with 10 BHP and a wing the size of a 747
