Just want to say sorry to Hatz for my lag spikes and red and jol and anyone else that it may have affected, I have sorted my connection out, as I dont think I have had any problems the last 3 or 4 Races, so i can only assume it had something to do with the storm, sorry about that.

Shame I had to pull out, I know I wasn't going to make it on the podium, but was curious to see how high I could finish, at least Red is keeping RRR afloat with 2 solid finishes so far and now leading the championship! Well done mate!

The racing between red and jon, and also toiv, moon and jols battle was seriously good to watch, I had stuff to do but could not leave the screen.

Got the week off, so going to put in some mean hours for the sprint round next week :)

Apologies for the delaying the start (for some reason my screen was stuck in when I went into watch race mode). I was a bit worried when I tried to get back in and found that the lounge was full!?

Also want to apologise for causing the 2 restarts because of my lag. I haven't changed anything with regards to my network and certain that my wife wasn't using the internet so not sure what happen. Maybe it was related to same issue that Rota was having with the storms up there. Hoping that next weeks racing returns to normal.

Thanks for still letting me start from the back of the grid. At least I got to race in the end. I did give the pack a 5 second head start.

Well done to Jon for the win! Smart move to pull out the wild card. Fantastic drive by Toiv to finish so strong again. Driver's leaderboard points looking very interesting at this early stage. Its looking there are a number of cars that could finish on the podium.

Slightly disspointing finish for Team Ying Yang considering the team hopes were high and the GTR's were well suited to the track. Moon did well to come back from 1st lap incident to almost snatch a podium.

Was a weird one last night. Qualified 14th but the start put me on the front row :S

Being on hards I was swamped pretty early until I was given my first damaging tap, came out of the pits not in last and got another damaging tap a few laps later.

Once again came out of the pits and then got the big lag smash from rota :D.
Well I pitted again and ran till the end so I am pleased to finish in the position I started :)

Edit: Cactass, would you like to make us a team? LP Racing perhaps?

Well.... What a tough race last night. Tight track and 52 laps was going to be tough for the SLS.

Finally got the suspension organised on the SLS to get rid of the massive understeer that hampered it at the nurb. Managed to get the black beast into 3rd in qualifying and it seemed to not use too much tyres. So I decided to switch to a 1 stopper as long as the meds got to lap 26.

Then the race started and I found myself out of position on pole. So pulled over to let the real pole sitter Rota, and Jol passed and to also get out of the way of the 4wd cars as I don't see the point of blocking faster cars on a tight circuit on the first lap. To my surprise I found myself in 4th after the first corner. I settled in for the first lap until......wham!!!! Last corner slow speed right into barrier. 2nd lap had to let a couple of cars passed as mine was well rooted and had to pit for damage. Popped out just behind jas and asuka. Took a couple of laps to pass but finally found clean air. Was making up ground on the leaders and managed 24 laps on meds and still had a few laps left on them until... Another wall incident which was fine as it happened right before the pits. Switched to hards, planned to drive all the way to the end. Was setting good laps on the hards and again was catching the cars in front. Was thinking was in a good position for a top 5 maybe top 3 if I could keep it off the walls........and then I 🤬 up badly on lap 34. Massive impact car ruined, top 5 gone limp back to pits, chucked meds on to the finish. Then I saw Oni pit and tried to ramp it up to the end to keep 6th. But no tyres left with 2 to go, the car just wouldn't pull up and Oni slipped through. 7th again which I'm happy with as only my second race against ridiculously fast drivers. Now the SLS is set up better, it should be a lot more competitive (as long as there are no concrete barriers around)

Looking forward to the next race.

Ferrari 599 - x2

As Waynz and F1WORLDCHAMPION took the 430 Scuderia.

Moon Update

Race 2

Well I started with damage from the first corner. I moved over and bumped Mr T or he bumped me ... but I'm not going to argue. Pitted at lap one then went to lap 9 when I hit the wall again, all by myself.

Thought this track was the best chance I had so I threw on the softs to catch up. Did a 19 lap stint of softs then on lap 28 went to mediums to the finish.

4 laps to go I saw Redness about 3 seconds in front and closed to 1 when Jol got me in the tunnel on the last lap. Gave him a little squeeze and he slapped me in the face 👍

Nice night and it was good to stay connected.

Hello u'll

My race went exactly to plan except for jon's soft tyre strategy .
Qualified ok but got a great launch into 3rd place and then i settled down and got into a good rhythm and began doing my target times of 1:34.s so to make my tires last until lap 20 and then pit for mediums and run to lap 40 pit for hards and run to the finish but it did not work out that way.
Jon made his pit stop on lap 18 and i made my pit stop on lap 20 and my last 2 laps were very slow so when i came out of the pits jon had already gone passed.

I caught up to jon and got passed him on lap 35 and then on lap 36 i hit the barrier at the chichane after the tunnel and got damage so i had to pit for hards and go to the finish.
Jon made his pit stop a couple of laps later and i could not work out how he was still pulling away from me and then i realised he went on to soft tyres...Well played jon.

Great racing everyone...Good win Jon...Great 5th place for TTR-TOIVO well done.

Bad luck to mrtaital and rota.

CHEERS redness-63(;)PS i nearly ran out of fuel so last 5 laps was just cruising .

hey,

Good night racing, only made the one stupid mistake coming around the second last corner on new med tyres in a rush to catch and pass oni, which then put me back behind cac. had a good battle with cac until he overshot the chicane and i was released to chase moon and red with toivo chasing me down.

Yea sorry moon it was a bit of a hasty move there on the last lap, i got a good run out of the corner and it was borderline whether to go for it or not.

16 cars on that track with 14 finishing with a race that long must be some kind of record so well done to all involved.

Looking forward to the next race.

You might want to . . cough . . . check the series calendar.

My race summary - ORS GT rd2 Cote d Azur

meh.

I can't attend this Monday's race in full, i have to do an airport pickup at 9:10, i will do what I can to attend race 3.

Hey

Yeah i agree with mrtaital's post on page 9.
COTE D'AZUR is a track for lightweight open wheel cars with alot of DOWNFORCE not big heavy road cars with no DOWNFORCE.

Anyone doing any testing this week? Would like to test against the quicker guys to see how my set up is on the SLS.

Hey mate I am jumping on right now for a bit.

But on that point, I think if you can, people should post what times they are getting in prac, obviously you don't have to, and its not a "look at me, look what time I can do" but many drivers do not get much time to practice during the week, and that odd hour or so they can, it would be good if they knew their pace in comparison to some others.

As I am jumping on now, I will post up my fastest and avg lap times for both mediums and hards, and I will TRY continue this for each week. :)

(as I dont think I can double post...)
Update: Best on Mediums was a 1:06.147, but that sheds the tyres, normal times are between 1:06.8 to 1:06.5. Did not get a chance to run Hard tyres as its a sprint race, not sure if we will be using them much for the 2 races that count.

It's definitely a good idea mate. Thanks for posting your times Rota!
That will give us ALL something to aim for. Cheers.

Thanks for the practice sess last night rota. Gave me a good insight if where I need to be quicker in terms of corner speed. Late in the session Did a best of 107 flat, but the car did 10 laps of 107.1 to 107.388 when jtv joined, and hardly used the tyres.

I jumped back on with taital last night and did some more laps and he managed to go from a 107.2 to a 106.6 or maybe even quicker... So there is time to find in that SLS but that consistency and low tyre wear is something to be jealous of!
