Polls are about to close here on the West Coast in 2 minutes, leaving only Alaska polls open.

Think Obama's gone a long way to locking it up with California. Romney's going to have to take pretty much everything else to even have a chance, which isn't looking overly likely.

Obama always had California. Last Republican to take California was Reagan, and that's only because he was in movies. They could have put Honey Boo Boo on the Democratic Ticket and she would have won California. Need I continue?

Yeah, I wasn't worried about Romney snagging California - the real story right now I think is Florida, and Ohio to a lesser extent. Obama just needs either to clinch. C'mon! 👍

CNN has 256 Electoral Votes for Obama and 201 Electoral Votes for Missouri.

This is not looking good for Romney.

*Edit: CNN just projected that Obama will win reelection.

Fox News just announced Obama won it. (Game over, or just good for their business?)

Romney wood have won if the poplar vote meant anything.

Oh well! Rand Paul 2016 **** wit' me.

Well, if even Fox projected Obama won reelection, then it's over for Romney.

Ron Paul 2016! I'm still going to write him in.

Popular vote is closing up.

Tell it to the other 47% ;).

I am just curious as to how they can call it, given Florida is so close and not yet fully counted.

California has 55 Electoral votes, he doesn't need Florida.

I wanted Obama to win so this is a good feeling, but seeing how split the US is, cant be goood.

I think this goes to show just how bad a candidate Mitt Romney was. People wanted to vote against Obama, they just couldn't elect Romney.

I really hope that the Republicans takes this as a sign that they need to adjust their platform. Ditch the religious nuts and start standing up for personal freedom.

...somehow I doubt it will sink in.

Anyway, tonight is a major loss for the nation. Nobody should be happy about the outcome. Also tonight would have been a major loss if Romney had won.

Well, this is the first time since the 3rd, 4th and 5th presidents that 3 straight have ended up serving two straight terms (and were elected for both). I begrudgingly didn't want either to win (an impossibility, but didn't see much good in either candidate).
