I haven't seen a thread dedicated to simulation yet. Those who have played Forza 6. What is your opinions on simulation with a controller, does the simulation seem improved over Forza 5, or does it feel the same? Thanks guys.

Sim steering was actually a little better on 6 than 5, but to be honest, the One controller just hasn't got the fine control of the 360's analogue inputs, so I switched back to normal. I'm fine with that, because the physics are still realistic, but you actually have a chance of catching slides now, as you would if you were on a wheel.

Alright then. I no longer have a xbox 360 controller. Yes the cars on Forza 5 would easily slide even at lower speeds. Not sure whether to buy Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain or Forza 6, I mean everybody loves Metal Gear right??? its all the rage right now...

I never completed Forza 5 because I still wasn't terribly happy with simulation physics on controller.
I just couldn't bring myself to play it as often as I should have, although I think I remember playing on Normal settings too. I'm sure I'll buy Forza 6 once I here some more thoughts from other guys and thanks VXR. :)

For sue though if I am persuaded by you and others this night, the first car I will buy is the beloved Ford Escort XR2i, or the Escort RS1600, or the Escort RS Cosworth or the Lotus Carlton. The Ultimate Edition is available to buy on Xbox Live right now?

I am sure it is great with headphones, but my gaming setup is designed for surround sound. I have noticed F6 is quitter than EVERY X1 game I have played. Even with the in game audio maxed, it is still just a quieter game. So I just know that when I play F6, I have to turn the surround sound up a couple more notches, compared to others. I posted the same thing in the F6 audio thread. Overall the audio is amazing in this game, I just turn it up a couple notches.
There's some weird balancing going on in general. My center channel is an absolute BEAST and yet the sound is sometimes pretty quiet coming out of it in cockpit mode.

I'd say my gear is more than up to the task and the fault lies with T10's audio engineers

So due to join the party later today and become an XB1 owner.
Will likely purchase the VIP pack for double credits.

Any tips on easy ways to earn money to let me purchase/mod some cars?

Can't decide what to finish my affinity off with. 11,000 XP to level 24, so I'm assuming I need 35,000 XP or something to complete it.

Maybe 3 laps on a rainy Nurburgring?

Pretty much just playing. Rivals, online, the wheelspin mechanic is surprisingly generous, I swear it's something like 1/4 chance to get a million.

Had a blast, just ran a 30 minute timed race at Daytona 24 Hour (Night) in my Mazda MX-5 in my Private
Lobby up against like MX-5's, the race started off terrible, being tagged in the rear and spun out in the first
turn, but gathered my self spending the next 26 minutes inching my the first place, then trying to carefully hold that position.

One small detail that my have already been noticed by others running timed events, on Circuit of Americas course, is that the time elapsed will also show on the track boards around the track, this may be the case on other tracks also.

One thing I'm encountering, the the few cars I've tested is the fuel mileage is way off, ran my 2015 Mustang GT (Stock) two laps around the full circuit at Nurburgring, the track length 16.15 mi, the mustang has a 16 gallon fuel tank that was almost empty at the finish. Even with 421 hp should get more that 2mpg.

Anyone else notice that you can get a 6-speed transmission option on the #2 Zakspeed Capri but not the #55 Lqui Moly?

Dude, I'm not even on a digital surround system (8-speaker 2.1 digital stereo set up), and my sound system does not come alive the way it did with FM5.

My engine isn't as loud and hair-raising, I can't hear cars around me as well as I did in F5... even the reverb, environmental and wind noise effects were more noticeable and impressive in part 5.

Oh well, just can't have it all.

On the plus side, some engine/exhaust notes have been mixed exceptionally well. However, I would kill to see individual volume sliders, particularly ala' FM4, where you can set the focus on engine audio (without noticeably drowning other sounds though).

I was pleasantly surprised at how forgiving pad sim steering is, this time around. And I absolutely love it! The additional grip is more than welcome.. and the front wheel bite is more convincing.

I'd recommend keeping the default deadzones however, as setting them to 0/100 will see the driver taking very long to go to the desired lock level around those sharp bends... Indianapolis or Daytona, i.e.

I just put the code to get my 10th Anniv cars. I only got 9. Sucks that it only comes with the digital pre-order. 👎

That's wierd... you should get 10. I got the disc version - it says "ten year anniversary edition" on the cover. While we're at it, let me make sure it's got 10...

can someone answer this question for me?

on Forza 5 you could turn on Drivator designs or what ever they were called, were the AI would race with user created paint jobs. however every single time i raced the same dam designs were used time after time, eg peppa pig on the mini cooper john works or donut king on the corvette gt3 car etc.

So is forza 6 using the same system, will it be the same designs over and over again, or will it change and keep it fresh so there's a new grid of cars each time you race?

Supremely weird. I counted 3 times and it's only at 9 cars.

Do you have the 458 which has a black livery instead of the green one like all the others?

Ok i have a problem when I try go online it says failed to get online list. Im wondering how to stop this issue as I would like to ty online. Does any one know how to fix this? At the moment ive just been playing the career mode.

Under showcase events I think, I know I saw them somewhere last night. In the past, Forza's Endurance Races have been much shorter than Gran Turismo's which I consider to be a good thing. I wouldn't mind trying one out one some night with friends in a party (if you can still race Career events with other people, I have no idea).
We cant race career races together but we can set lobbies up ANY way we want. I would be up for maybe a 1 hour endurance race or something estimated to be around 1 hour. We just pick a track and run 20-30 laps depending on the track. Would be fun pitting and running with AI. Maybe we can attempt it sometime this weekend. I have a lan party starting tonight I will be available all weekend. Just let me know in advance when you want to attempt this. We need to play F6 together sometime for sure this weekend. :)

It is without a doubt the game audio in F6 for sure. Something with our engines has been toned down dramatically. As I said in another thread, I installed a 787B engine into a Miata last night and was shocked how quite it was at idle. And I was in a convertible. It should have been overwhelmingly loud. OH well the ambient audio is incredible. We just need some sort of audio sliders for our own personal engines to dial in the volume how we want.

I think Xbox is currently having gaming and social issues or something along them lines but I've had no problem getting on.

Might be worth going in to network settings on Xbox, DNS settings, then manually input 8.8.8.8 as primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 as secondary DNS. This solved all of my online issues for FM5 and FH2.

Most likely xbox live. It has been having a lot of issues lately.

EDIT: Yup sure enough it is in the red again. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status?xr=shellnav

Whenever you see live in the red, even if it is for a different game, it will effect everything. Also a good idea to save that link to your favorites.

Spent about 45 minutes in rivals drifting last night. My current scores are with little to no tuning at all and with a fair amount of sand bagging. I really need to sit down and start setting up some cars for drifting. I also plan to start at least getting some preliminary race times in some of the hoppers. SOoooooo much to do, so little time.

What are some of the best sounding cars in people's opinion? The Mercedes AMG gts is one of my picks
So far out of the few cars I have driven, the 2015 Corvette sounds really good!

Man, the attention to detail really is fantastic. At COTA, around the last section, there's always small gusts of dust blowing across the track. Last night while attending the practice sessions at the track, I started noticing how often that actually happens.

It has to be one of the oddest or confusing games in the way it has been sold.

So got the new console, very nice, had a great member of staff at "GAME" enable me to buy the t-shirt (I like it) Normally this was only avail with "GAME's Limited Edition" (basic game on disc with t-shirt and 1x Dodge Challenger).

VIP PASS
I will purchase this partly on my redeemed points from "GAME" in buying the console etc.
The 9 cars it offers I assume is the (10th Ann Pack) but heres the catch it offers DOUBLE AWARDS and seems the only way to get this outside the Ultimate Edition is buying the VIP PASS.

CAR PACK
This also then needs purchased to bring I assume my standard edition upto the Ultimate Edition content and ensure additional car packs?

What am I missing?

I think you would still be missing the Fast & Furious car pack but that's all.

Just finished one of the endurance showcases (good riddance to FM4's two-heat races). Naturally thought I should get the Indy 250 out of the way first before trying anything more rousing.

Among the few curious things I noticed were nine floating paint strips in the pit lane (it's impossible to get the right shot angle to properly display this bug), and how the faster AI cars managed to best me by five whole laps when it came to fuel usage. Coming within a few yards of failing to make it back to the pits on lap 94 and the AI bumping me into the pit lane for an unwarranted stop earlier in the race were the only true hairy moment.

568,000 race/bonus credits, 170,000 XP (Level 54 > 58), another 270,000 Cr from affinity level-ups/prize spins and a Chevy Bel Air as the cherry on top. Guess I was justly compensated for little over an hour of tedium. :P

The Focus RS '09 is one of the most unresponsive cars I've driven so far and I loved driving it in FM4,such a dissapointment.:/

I've just had an absolutely ecstatic 25 minutes driving a stock 155 Q4 around Hockenheimring. I started in my usual chase cam and got the angles I wanted in photo mode - boy it leans over well in corners - and then I switched to interior view. What an utter epiphany. I've never really cared for this view in the past, but I've just had so much joy attacking the corners for 8 laps or so.

I will definitely start to appreciate the cars more and enjoy the superb physics over several laps, rather than shooting a car and onto the next after as little as one lap.
