I like how Super Racing Soft tires are still working....my god, this is a massive fail in a spectacular fashion..it's almost sad. think they did the right thing...And yet one of the biggest cheats that is pretty much undetectable stays, meanwhile the realistic hack crowed is shown the door, you know what, i bet the grip multiplier still works as well, So basically GT5 is still not anywhere near normal.

I love how it says in the News section of GT5 for the update notice that it was just "Fixes for some minor issues". End of notice.

Actually the tires have always been "detectable" in fact.
Just hover over a name in an online lobby or check a replay. You'll see they're perfectly detectable.

Welp, no more updates for me, either, then. I doubt there's anything interesting coming anyway...
Fancy not patching it properly, though. Typical incompetent draconian BS; big-money comes in stomping all over everything and misses the point entirely, so what's new? And not even mentioning what the patch was for - even after acknowledging the hybrid problem regarding seasonals etc. and announcing intent to ban, they're going to pull this borderline-revisionist crap? ("there is no problem", implied in their silence) I feel like I've been shunned and ignored - but, I hope they carry forward the lessons into GT6, because the likely usage spike due to hybrids must speak volumes about what players want.
On top of all of that, it's scary how some people just accept the restrictive frameworks and walled gardens forced upon them, and that they're paying for.
Whatever, it's just a game, I don't have to participate, but I expected some actual integrity from PD. Somebody should ask Kaz for comment (specifically: why are we all being punished, but cheating can continue?), I expect it'd be illuminating in some way or other.

I reckon the only part of the community that will continue will be those who actually WANT to play by the rules of the game i.e most of those in the Clubs & Leagues section.
