Should PD have let the modding slide? ... OP Updated.

Should PD allow this activity in GT5?

You've got to be kidding me. My game just locked up while doing a Speed Test in my JP Flag Color. It worked the first time, what happened now?
Oh no...Please no.

Disregard what I said earlier...The X2010 JP Flag Color is now useless. The game will lock up if you attempt to drive it.
Sadly I guess I'm going to have to delete it from my garage.

:( Looks like everything hybrid related is going now. It was fun though.

No. Just not going to update the game.
Ok thank God (for now). I thought PD started handing out the ban-hammer to those with hybrids.

And I updated. Of all of my brainless moments. :grumpy:

I knew about it too prior...

I don't know yet if people have been banned or not. Like I said when the servers come back up we will all know.

Only thing that annoys me is that I finally bought the Weider and Schulz GT-R, but now I can't install them. I'll figure something out, I'm sure.

*shrugs*

got separate accounts for hybrids and main...thank god that idea popped up back then.

Just made a wingless mustang GT,Twin turbo, Ford GT40 engine, wingless, on a wider chassis.

I did visit my main account and did some races...but then just went back to modding again.

Confirmed Unpaintable cars that were painted through modding retained their modded colors. Just checked my black Impreza Prototype Rally Car and it's still black.

And so commences what could be the biggest uproar in GT5 history... Looks like I constructed my bomb shelter in time... Lets see how bad this gets...

....And thus the GT online community was split into the west and east GT. East GT blocked the supply railroad, but West GT will design the PD Airlift....

Well, looks like i won't be playing GT5 online for awhile, just going to delete the update and ACTUALLY enjoy the game.. Once again, PD doesn't know the word FUN.

Let me also say i've never raced a hybrid online. I do not agree with people taking them online and cheating. It's just something to enjoy with friends in my lounge, and and now all that fun is gone..

Thankfully I still have my copy of Gran Turismo 2. Looks like I'll be busting through that game for a bit.

FIRST, find a way that your type of hacks can work but performance hacks that fly under the PP and scrutinizing radar can't...

We did. The PP System worked fine. You couldn't build a car that broke the PP system.

But, in all it's wisdom, PD has not patched super soft tires so the ACTUAL CHEATING can still persist. BRILLIANT! Piss off the people who played within the rules of the game and let the cheaters slide.💡

Same here.
Thankfully I haven't installed the patch yet. Since I had previously resigned a save file and copied it to my new account, I can now play online with my old account, and have fun with my hybrids on my new main account.
Nothing's lost for me! :sly:

It would appear that not all the mods have been patched.

I still have:
R32 Super high RPM Turbo
EK Civic with stage 5 engine tune
R34 with Ultra High RPM Turbo, Catalytic Converter: Racing, Triple plate clutch, Racing flywheel.

I also still have 2 RB 5G's...

One thing I forgot to mention was that PD possibly patched hybrids because of the licenses they have for the car manufacturers and maybe somewhere in the license states that no other manufacturer parts should be interchangeable between the cars.

Such as the Ferrari F1 cars. They weren't allowed to race with any other cars except the Ferrari F1s because of the license from Ferrari stated that you're not allowed to race the F1 cars against other manufacturers.

Wait, I'm confused. How does this work again?

Updating affects the Game Data, which is the SAME for ALL accounts on one particular PS3. Therefore, how can you play 2.11 GT5 while at the same time have a 2.12 GT5?

This kind of stuff is total BS. Not worth it to feature their cars if they have "conditions".

This. And has anyone actually seen this F1 contract that says that? Or are we making assumptions?

I havent seen anything concrete just assumed since you cant paint it or race with other cars.

While this Update has indeed taken quite the toll on players and hybriders alike, I feel as though this was a bonding experience. Working together, we've been picking this update apart piece-by-piece to see what this 24MB of hell changed to GT5.
Just goes to show that even the negative things in life can really draw a community together.
