Oh hello thar.

You behind the wheel of the M5 or R34 sounds like a good idea to me. :P

Done. M5 it is then. 👍
Backing up my 100,000 point game, and creating a new save on my 2nd mem-card from an old backup where I've got plenty of modification money left over!
Be patient with me, I'm new to the tuning world, having mostly raced stock cars and filched settings or setups where necessary or gone purely with gut feeling and seat-of-the-pants parameters.

I say RVV called in a Ringer. In this case, a good deal of us are screwed.

Cheers

Fair game volunteering at 6:40 AM in the middle of a working week. :P

! :guilty:

The beauties of the world clock and time differences everywhere!
'Twas 8:40PM on a weekday evening after a good hard workday slog for me!
Next time I'll run an auction & give everyone a chance! :P (note to self - create PayPal account! :mischievous:)
This time in the absence of a West Coast garage to take advantage at the end of a day, it's the Aussies and their pesky "always being way ahead of everyone except a few outlying Pacific Islands" that got to take advantage being as they were already up in the morning, tomorrow!
(How can you compete when they're always a day ahead already?!!!)
It's something I deal with on a weekly basis though, being 8hrs behind the rest of my family, so I'm well used to it! ;)
Although as it happens, being up to watch Liverpool at 4:45am this morning appears to have paid dividends with my first race laptime... We'll see...
Sadly it's a little too late for the "volunteer" Western US drivers, namely Austin343 & myself to hastily assemble a tuning garage, for this contest, but we could possibly throw something together though we'll both readily admit to knowing almost nothing about tuning other than gut-feeling and instinct.
I must admit that I looked at the RVV setup M5 and thought "OMG, I know nothing about drifting, and this is going to be really, really hard to get used to", judging by the soft rear and harder, stiffly stabilised front end setup that's run on this car, contrary to most of my own kloogy half-arsed setups that basically follow of pattern of "well, it kinda worked for Hugo Boss in GT3 WRS, and I've tweaked it a little for the appropriate drivetrain and GT4, but we'll see how it goes..." :scared:
As it happens, I like the way their M5 works, it seems to me to be configured with appropriate amounts of lift-throttle oversteer which is ideal for getting through the tight turns of Seattle, but will more than likely catch me out elsewhere. I can't drift to save my own backside, but the car doesn't appear to be drifty at all now that I've driven it, and seems to quite suit my own inimitable style.

Next track is Infineon?! :ill: someone really does have something against proper handling tracks. :irked:

Congrats going to Smallhorses! That was a hell of a race, top four separated by six tenths of a second?? :scared: Amazing. Everyone having fun? :D

Corey

Awesome!!! It's huge amounts of fun, and Infineon is my "home" track!
Seems that the there's a lack of drivers for the ECT team, would've volunteered for them, but it didn't seem appropriate given that I'm a "Left" coaster!
(Then again, I'm now driving for more Internationally diverse team!)

Great work organising this Jetboy.!

Problems problems and more problems! The ECT RX7 has the wrong HP,and P/W Ratio!

Hmmm... It could be because the WPR was, and is always calculated on my cell phone since GT4's is usually slightly off. As for the HP, I have no idea.

There's a 6.2 mile, but I found out in the Japan version, so the days would be different, and my dad doesn't want be to download the PAL used car list, because it's too big.

SVX
So I have to find the 6.2 mile version?

It turns up in week 51 of the PAL version.

By the way, well done to all participants and to Jetboy for running it. I found out too late to enter but have been following every minute development so far, and it's great.

I just got any old one when it came, but it didn't have the right power of P/w ratio.

Thanks a lot man for the support! 👍 If this caries out correctly, I may do a second one with the PWR being 2.5 :D

IIRC, the Bathurst I got those settings from had around 39,000 miles (around 62-63,000 km) when bought. If I were you I'd just go with the NSX, it drives just like the Bathurst, but it's way faster.

WOW..... This track is very fun! I've had a heck of a time, trying to give the car alittle bit of understeer to make corners with the right amount of oversteer! Anybody else trying to do the same?

Okay,I give the NSX a go.

A great idea for a series. Huge thumbs up. Sadly, it seems I missed the boat on this - haven't played GT in months I am embarassed to say. The Real World (TM) has whisked away my sense of fun and play.

It would have been nice to see ETZ in the lists but it was not meant to be this time around.
