Time Trial #57 ...and now for something different

However I do like the race seasonal with my own cars. It gives my collection of Japanese 80's cars a purpose in life. Its created a whole new worthwhile playing ball game for all the cars I would only be competing in begginer events..
 
Just got a 42.903 to get tied for 4th with DUB. If you look at my replay. My previous lap was a 42.807 which happened to get in the red :ouch:

Not everyone wants to play this game without tuning. To me, this marks the sign that the slow death of GT5 has now accelerated. Since PD can't seem to stop hybrids with programming, then they will just start taking away game functionality to get around them. Love the Viper, love to have a single car challenge but find this game incredibly boring if I can't tune the car to drive better for me.

Oh my god. I was .06 ahead of Amo entering the last sector and got so nervous and sweaty that I ended up .02 behind him at the line :banghead: At least the lap was clean 42.832 :)

Splits:
12.179 (Messed up the hairpin, could've been better)
14.921 :D :D :D
15.732 :ouch:

Well, well,well. We knew it was there, but from the looks of things seems like a 42.7-- is in the foreseeable future. That second sector, wow. I need to take a look at that. That third sector, I always mess up when I pass p 1 too. Nice friggin lap. 👍

Aaaaww... doodle, I thought I had you. It was close, I ended up not quite giving it everything I had in the last sector. I knew your last sector was a little slow so I played it a little conservative. Well conservative doesn't get it done.
My previous fast lap was .1 faster in the last sector.

(T1) 12.078 - (T2) 15.088 -(T3) 15.689 = 42.855

After numerous laps where I almost beat Amo but crashed into a wall, cut a corner, got nervous etc... I'm on a 42.735 but a .5 is probably just about possible ;)

EDIT: Now I can get on with my maths homework :lol: :lol:

Nice one Doodle! My best first sector is a 11.991 and best last sector is 15.507 so a 42.5 is definitely possible, no more time for me tonight though.

We'll I'm right behind Amo, but that's not quite how I envisioned it. :dopey::):dopey::)

I guess he'll run some laps now and we'll see how much more time there is out there. I can see a .6 but if anyone does a .5 ... I don't think I can touch that.

doodle, on your last sector in the first turn it seems like you run a little wide, maybe brake a little earlier and turn the car sooner. Worth a shot.

Well, I've just calculated it and my theoretical best is 42.518 so with Doodle's best middle sector then a 42.4 is easily possible! I say easily :lol: :lol:

Had a quick session after having 5 days off (really busy with exams until 23rd) and improved to .025, combining my best splits I'd have a .7 something.
I still need to work out how to do that T1 properly but the time is the problem here. :grumpy:
 
Guys i need a little help on how to navigate the RA menu. Im using a DS3. I can make the menu pop up but i cant seem to scroll it down or up or add values. Its just stuck on the TCS function and cant really navigate it down for the BB.

Anyone kind enough to help? Thanks in advance guys! :)

Just had a quick half hour session and improved to a 42.647 :D

Sector Times: 12.031, 15.085, 15.531
 
Every day I have less desire to do trial .. just to see people repeat the test with a second ID.because people do that? Thus only hurt those who are below

I can't speak for everyone that has multiple entries but some of us are doing it because we are in the WRS and our event this week is to run the seasonal using our GTP account. That's why folks like Bandit and I have double entries. We started using our normal account then had to run again using our GTP accounts.

Pretty sure my feeble effort isn't providing much of a road block though.

Heres how i play using the DS3:

D pad to steer
X for gas
Square for brake
L2 downshift
R2 up shift

I cant drive using the analog stick because i am used to playing with those settings since GT1. If you could help me on how to set the RA values so i could adjust the BB is really greatly appreciated! :)

Currently running 2:02.7xx on the corvette and 44.2xx on the cappuccino using only ABS1. Id love to try and bring down the times but its really really hard using only the standard BB.

Ok Te?, just map the RA functions to the right or left analogue stick. You have four movements available and four functions needed. Up/Down to select the RA items and left/right to set the RA item value. 👍

Theres no option to put an RA value on analog stick left right up or down. Even tried on the right analog stick u cant set the RA value. :indiff:

I can only set the RA value on L3 or R3 other than that the analog cant get anymore RA functions... :indiff:

U can set RA "+" "-" "UP" "DOWN" for same arrows on left cross of DS3
