Major change of tactics from me. Colour will now be sunset pearlescent (that's yellow in English) I am convinced this will knock several seconds off my lap times
LOL
I don't know, judging by the last Spitfire Championship, I'd be going with red or black, as those seem to be the fastest colours for Spitfires. hahahaha
FYI: I have made a "main page" ad post for the Vintage Car Race Club here:

Also, I posted some photos from an impromptu race we had on Trial Mountain during practicing last night:

Mainly I wanted to demonstrate why I didn't consider Trial Mountain a viable track for this championship. LOL
I used to think the whole "online physics" claim - that things were different online (as compared to practice with the same settings)... I thought it was a myth or people were nuts, because I never had to change my tuning for online - other than for stability in the event of contact purposes. Until I tried the Spitfire and Alpines, on Trial Mountain online, as compared with Practice w/ same settings.
They just go wild online on Trial Mountain. And then I found people on the forum reporting the same thing on this track (Trial Mountain) with these cars (Spitfire & Alpines).
That said, it is fun. But wild enough that I thought I didn't want the possibility of watching replays a million times over for car contact reports. LOL Because car contact is not only likely on Trial Mountain, it's guaranteed!
I consider myself to be a fairly conservative clean racer... But it's like it's out of my hands once I'm on Trial Mountain in a Spitfire.
And we need a do-over for the Indy Super Speedway practice last night. We all got separated & lost the draft between... someone took off ahead of me, someone went off track behind me, and I got left lonely in the middle needing a personal pit stop. LOL I get too tense on ovals.
And the Spitfire is a bit of a handful on the ovals. Swerving is often a possibility. At least in my case.
Especially when I overcook the tires on the start.
I'm wondering if we should do a rolling start instead of grid start for the Indy Super Speedway race. I know that's a popular (and perhaps more sane) choice. If anyone has any thoughts on this, pipe up.
Today I had a short practice with IMZIZ, and I was able to beat him on a 3-lap race on Eiger with the rain starting to clear up, because I'd already been practicing on the track a little while, & I caught him off guard when he 1st signed on, before he had a chance to warm up & calibrate his instruments. LOL It's a strategy I use when I can get it!
By the 2nd race, my advantage was gone! haha
