REMINDER: Room opens half an hour earlier than usual for the team decier tonight to let you guys practice on the created track.

Qualifying will last for 15 minutes and the race will be half an hour.

Qualifying will usually last for 20 minutes once the season starts proper but I'm afraid I have to cut it short tonight, there is no way around it.

Yup still there mate, sorry for late response been hooked on this track :D

Joining us for a bit, you are also welcome JB, couple of guys aint running the TVR.

I don't even have the DLC but when the host that did left, the track stayed on :D

Glad the track remained when I left, was hoping that would be the case :)

Yeah, Spa ROCKS! Eau Rogue in the TVR is a real blast... one can just take it flatout with warm racing mediums, best version of Spa in a videogame yet I think. :)

Agree best version of Spa in any video game I've played. Eau Rouge is awesome, flat out on racing mediums but slight confidence lift on hards 👍

Cheers Steg, can't wait to try out the GTRC official test track :D

It's a goody :D

Laps are just about/over a minute I reckon but it's pretty technical.

Wide in the first and last sector with a narrow technical sector in the middle.

Should make for some very good racing indeed 👍

I was chuffed the track stayed, Specter even changed the track to the Kart one when he wasn't the host, strange but not complaining.

I've built a toscana track to above spec & am on it in my lounge if anyone wants to join. Hope that's not cheating;)

A few minor teething problems in the practice race tonight

A couple guys never made it due to connection, was like roulette at times, one got in, on got d/c.

I want to try and test connection with all these guys at some point and get it resolved before next week.

I'm glad we had a practice this season though as no real damage was done and no points were up for grabs.

When we did get going it was a pretty good race, the track was a short one and created closely packed groups throughout the field.

Not many incidents at all however if you want to bring one forward pm me by Saturday and it will be passed to the stewards.

Well done to R35 for picking up the W 👍

I am aware part of the reason behind tonight's race was to create teams from top8, bottom8.

This will still mainly happen however there were some very fast guys that never raced and some not so fast people that got the number one spots when if everyone raced this would not of happened.

Myself and Carts both honestly feel we should not be top8.

Granddriver who could not attend is without doubt a top8 driver.

Culkin and Loskey, how fast are you, honestly ?

I know Sic is fast, but in that race he was not doing so well before he left, If Culkin or Loskey are faster they should get the top8 spot instead.

The main aim for the teams has always been to create as close a team battle as possible and I am willing to mix things up to achieve this :)

If you honestly feel you are placed in the wrong tier then now is the time to speak.

If there is someone in a different tier from you that you want to form a team with, let me know.

Even is it's someone in your own tier there is a small chance you could be paired if one of you is mismatched.

All suggestions welcome, want to have teams sorted by the weekend ;)

I was fine with everyone till Joshua or Haigis (think thats what I saw as name) then I seemed to get DC'd but when I was in those 2 seemed to not be able to connect :indiff:

I had 4th fastest qualify time before I got booted  but honestly i'd say im mid to low in terms of where on the final table ill be 👍

Qualifying is usually a pretty good indicator, you must of learned the track quickly and the three guys above you are all for sure title contenders.

We will need to get me, you, haig & josh in a room before Wednesday, sort out this mess :)

I'm a bit of a slow learner when it comes to new tracks so I didn't expect to do to well tonight.

About halfway through the race I wasn't enjoying it to much as for some reason I had no tyre noise sounds coming through the speakers (it's like losing a sense or something lol) and the track was not flowing to well for me so I pitted to change to some fresh racing mediums only to find by some mix up in the lobby (not Steg's fault) we only had racing hards lol.

Anyway went out on the racing hards and managed to claw back a few places (starting to enjoy it now, getting the hang of the track) I managed 4th in the end and rapidly catching the leaders but little to late. Great race 👍 Looking forward to Trial Mountain :)

PS. Steg can you share that track please mate. Gonna do the replay for YouTube.

Yea im going through port forwarding for GT5 and will have to add them on PSN see if that helps a bit

Yeah Jonzster I will stick the track up now, if anyone else wants it go for it!

I'm glad you said it wasn't my fault

I honestly was doubting myself at times

Can't wait for your replay mate, your about my only subscription on youtube :)

Cool Steg thanks alot

Shame about the tyres wanted to try them out, almost cried when they weren't in there lol
but these things happen and this is what pre season races are for - to iron out the glitches lol.

I reckon it should make for a good race replay, lovin the time change setting we were racing on 👍

Being completely honest, I forgot it was time and weather change

Could of rained at any time because weather was on random.

I'm pretty sure it was about 7am.. maybe 8 when we were racing on the track 👍

My race report:

Had an exciting qualification... R35 was fast but I managed to set a good time in the end. Got a bad start, R35 passed me soon after the start, he was lagging so I didn't dare to go too close, was afraid I might touch him. He set a furious pace, I tried to follow. I noticed he was very fast in the last part of the track, while I gained a lot of time in the first part. We must use very different settings but that still creates about the same times during a whole lap. :)

I managed to keep about the same pace for quite a few laps, but my front tyres were deteriorating so on the 12th lap I pitted and thought I would put on mediums and try to catch R35. (Carts: I think it was a good thing you changed the restrictions to racing hard, it made the qualifying equal since the rules says all should use hards for the quali. We must just be more careful to make sure that it's changed back to allow mediums before the race starts). Anyway, I noticed I couldn't select mediums so my strategy failed a bit there. Tried to make the best of it and catch Gray. Had an exciting battle with him in the ending laps. 👍

After watching the replay, I would like to apologize to jamseybograt too, for changing line abruptly on the straight in the ending laps. I was having a battle with GrayFox32, he was beside me on the straight. He was on the left, I was on the right, he had better exit so he passed me on the straight. When I saw he had gotten ahead of me, I went to the left to get the right driving line for the first turn. I saw that you were behind me in the beginning of the straight but I didn't think you were that close in the end of it.. I saw on the replay that no one got any damage in that incident though.

Lol would have been interesting if it started raining, had a bad enough time staying on the track in the dry at the begining of the race.

Well done Toffe, didn't see to much of you in this race, hope to see more of you (in my rear view mirror hopefuly j/k ;) ) in the next race.

Sorry again Toffe you were got by the tyres, I now know to double check everything before we start :)

Don't worry about the incident , this race was to sort out teams and make sure we have no really crash happy drivers on the grid.

I don't remember you being at fault for many, if any, incidents last season so I don't think we will need to give you the boot

I was going to pit for mediums, but I was in about 10th place and thought I would be better off staying out and hopefully a few guys would pit and I would just try and hold the position :)

I am going to get on the mediums really early at Trial Mountain, there is a pretty substantial time gap between the compounds there for me and not much more tyre wear when I rock the mediums.

I'm quite sure it said 06:00AM when loading with time progression: 1 :) Btw, I also liked the track, especially the first half, one could actually experience some oversteer there.

Well done Toffe, didn't see to much of you in this race, hope to see more of you (in my rear view mirror hopefuly j/k ;) ) in the next race.
Thanks :) Saw that you fell a few places then got up again, thought that you must have done a pit stop, seems I was right! We'll see who will see who in the rear mirrors ;) Trail mountain is a very technical and interesting course and quite different from the one we raced on today.

Just checked and you were right, the track is set as 6:00am and time progression 1.

I'm glad you like the track :D

My favourite part is the fast downhill long left then right section :)

I have a suggestion....Leave the tyre restrictions on Racing Mediums before quali's...Make sure everyone joins the track and no one leaves and rejoins....You can check to see what tyres everyone has by either watching the race or by joining the pit (dont go to free run) and scroll over everyones name and you can see what tyres they have on.....If you leave at the end of quali to change the tyre restrictions, you're time erases....Although I guess you can ask the bottom place qualifier to change the tyre restrictions?.....👍

Yeah it sucks having to leave qualifying to check/change things
Bottom qualifier is probably the fairest shout, unless there are any guys banned from quali.
Cheers for the suggestions kk ;)
