Although it say China test it is false, this was a test done on a Holden Commodore (VB, 1978-1980) at a very high rate of speed (100mph or so), by a magazine (IIRC) not the usual 45mph in standard crash tests.

Either way, it's a good laugh :D

SCEE president Andrew House has told VG247 that anybody wondering why Gran Turismo 5 wasn’t shown during the company’s massive GamesCom presser should look forward to seeing something “very soon”.

“I am not going to make a prediction on that but I think you will see something on GT5 very soon,” said House. We assume that most likely means the Tokyo Games Show.

While the game wasn’t shown during the conference, it is playable on the showfloor. It is also coming to TGS next month. Some new info and menu screens were released last night.

that TGS is probably why we saw what we saw... theyre probably preparing a full blowout for TGS and didn't have time to prepare the most recent build for us at gamescom.... *crosses fingers for more awesomeness*

Here's some first-hand-experience from a GT5P-Player who has been to Gamescom today:

The vehicle behaviour feels better than in GT5:P. There only were wheels and no gamepads though. The AI cars were much more agressive by shoving and pushing me, which I liked a lot, while I was irritated by that at first.

The graphics seem to have improved as well, though it may only be the detail-loaded Tokyo track. Tire racks were flying through the air, just like other movable parts which ended up on the track.

As already known, only some cars will have a damage model. This will include all rally cars. The only accessible car was the Impreza WRC '08, and that only for 3 minutes or 1 1/2 laps. The possible settings were just the same as in Prologue.

The weight transfer looks better than in Prologue and wheels from some of the AI cars locked up under heavy breaking, thats what i think from watching the videos..

Your 10% sure? and you have a reliable source for that? If not please dont start any rumours or you will see a lot of diwapointed people again.

Just my opinion, they'll put everything they have forward at TGS, i mean it's obvious now :embarrassed:

so its one car one track

yes, he said that.
the italian guy says that there is no more struttering like the prologue, and the damage will also affect the gameplay, but this thing could be considered after the translation of the features on the japanese site.
And single player with a new system like points?
We have to wait..
