Sure, but T10 can. I think they'd rather get the game out in October though.

As for the rest of the game barely looking better:
The graphics look different, but interstringly enough, in two of the three examples I like the old graphics more...

I am asking myself is PD getting nervous because of the FM release ...?
They should get nervous because it looks like FM will blow away GT7 in many aspects...

I don't think anyone at Polyphony has any reason to be worried.

We can compare the relative success each game will have, but let's not act like they're really competing. It's still comparing an apple released in March 2022 on PS4/PS5 with an orange that will come out in less than two months from now on PC and Xbox. Just because of that, when FM comes out, it will coexist more than compete with GT7.

Why would they be nervous ? FM isnt releasing on PS5.

If you want to play a Racing game on ps5, gt7 is and still will be once FM is release your best bet considering ACC problems and niche market.

I'm kinda the target for FM but it's not interesting me so far. I've already heard so many things from FM on previous title (5-6-7) and they never delivered so I'll wait and see this time around.

I am not really exited about FM. Having PSVR2 kinda makes me not want to play any other racing game, that don't have VR.

Or in other words Forza gameplay, single player mode, economy system, and multiplayer has to be much, much better than GT7 (Which in my opinion is unfortunately not that hard to do) for me to get exited about it.

I dont care much about if the graphics are better or what ever. The enjoyment of driving in VR is much more attractive to me than pretty graphics in pan cake mode.

I am going to try it though, since its free on Game pass, but I really doubt, it will hold my attention.

Same here. I was getting into acc when my vr2 arrived. Since then I've had no interest in returning to acc, or any other racing game... definitely spoilt things, in a good way I guess.

I too have gamepass on the series x and may give fm a go, but it's likely to quickly fall flat (excuse the pun...) after experiencing racing in the vr world, regardless of how good/better its single player mode is.

Barely looks better, you need to get your eyes checked. Also the PS5 with GT7 and GT8, it is limited in HDMI bandwidth unless they release the PS5 pro with what the SX can do. PS5's hdmi 2.1 is limited to 32gbps, SX's hdmi 2.1 is limited to 40gbps. Hardware limited to begin with.

That has nothing to do with gfx. Even HDMI 2.0 is capable of 4K 60fps. HDMI 2.1 supports 4K 120fps and 8K 60fps but only real advantage is VRR and the slightly limited bandwidth on PS5 means it's range is little less. PS5 VRR range is 48-60hz whereas XSX is 40-60. That only means if game running on HDMI 2.1 mode drop below 48fps it is out of VRR range so fps will not be on sync other than that there is no difference. I am not even sure any game run suppose to run 60fps runs around 40fps, if it does may be only for a fraction of sec. Mostly it is around 50-60fps which is in range anyways.

As someone who's played and enjoyed both franchises in the past, FM(8) looks... Aggressively OK. Is that better or worse than GT7's moments of brilliance interspersed with baffling decisions holding it back? You be the judge. I don't think anyone is getting "left behind" though.

I'm not buying the new Fora Motorsport. I was excited for it when it was first announced, and I have followed the news on it, but there are too many things that I just don't think I'll enjoy. The car points and linearity are things that don't excite me for example. I think both Turn 10 and PD are bereft of good ideas to keep the respective series interesting without just rinse and repeating what has come before.

FM seems to have a consistent average rather than GT7's great highs and horrible lows.

I had to leave FM behind anyway, because the PC port is poorly optimized. Oh well.

Yes it wont leave gt7 behind, by the looks of it, the game is not even worth buying day one, to little content, i wait at least 6 momths maybe more, i have both gt7 and crew motorfest to,keep me busy

Forza Motorsport is amazing(an hour perspective played it just after launch at 00:01 ), the parts being locked behind levels actually makes you learn the car's characteristics I leveled an STi 15 levels in one builders cup.
Handling on gamepad is the best ever Forza experience, I played it on 30fps visual mode and it's absolutely stunning, going to play today at 60fps RT mode, the AI players are like racing actual people.

Will update after playing for more time.
GT7 is amazing if you only have a PlayStation but if you do have an Xbox or PC then try out Forza Motorsport you will be impressed.

No. No VR support, no triple screen, wheel support is meh. I will stick to iRacing and rFactor 2. FH5 and GT7 VR for casual racing. Eventually i will buy FM when it’s on Sale and has the Nordschleife.

I'm playing FM on a 4k screen with gamepad, don't have space for a wheel, I also hate VR as it makes me feel sick tried many times. I'm playing it the same way as I play GT7. Also I thought this was GT7 Vs Forza Motorsport thread when did iRacing & rFactor get added, how can you play GT7 on 3 screens on a PS4 or PS5?
I'm not the biggest fan of Forza Horizon but I prefer FH4 to FH5 as it had some very fun mechanics around earning funds.
How can you compare a game you havn't yet played? I have sunk hours into both GT7 and starting to sink hours into FM.

Been playing it(FM) this morning lol, it's still amazing, the car part unlocks really isn't an issue and is good I think, it's gets you to learn the car and know what needs working on, rather than you just chucking on the regular bit's.
I hope they allow Passover levels for the same car, currently they don't I think by what YT people have said havn't purchased two of the same car yet to check for myself.

I would suggest Gamepass + premium add-on for around £20 as it has car pass. To have FM the best way.

Because there are features i expect from a racing game in 2023. i have been playing GT since 3 and Forza since the first one. FM is a PC game as well so I can expect it to have certain features even if i haven’t played it. For me the best ways to play are either VR or triple screen and i have both on my rig. GT7 at least supports VR.

Again I state how can you judge a game you have not yet played.

I'm saying what I'm saying as a console racing SIM fan, played on all console's I also have a triple screen pc but I don't play on it, it's for work.
I play my games on my sofa through my living room TV as will most casual SIM racers who love GT and FM.

That's your view, I have played GT from the first one and FM since the first one.

FM is a casual racing SIM just like GT7, they have put FM on pc as they wish to allow gamers to play everywhere they like. Both FM and GT7 have been made for console player's firstly.

I'm saying my view's.

Just as me. I believe i have evolved as a racing game player and i expect the games to evolve as me and my equipment as well. Just like consoles and PCs are much better then they used to be. It was hard for me to get used to a wheel after playing years with a pad. VR is technological advancement for me. On the positive side I like the direction FM is heading, better multiplayer, better physics. So it’s the right step after the (for me) rather disappointing FM7. So i will definitely buy and enjoy it.

The AI players are amazing, it's like playing real driver's, physics are the best out of the games I have played with a Gamepad.

It's a fine line between hardcore racing SIM and casual racing SIM, I think they have hit the mark spot on for Gamepad user's, I can't comment on wheel drivers but I do see ones that with a small adjustment to settings are having a blast of a time.

Out of all FM games and all GT games, FM2023 is the best in my opinion, I can only find little faults like crash sound's (barrier scrapes) but I barely even notice them anyway.

Great to hear that. Looking forward to play it myself. It’s just that i am not in a hurry.

FM looks like more of the same that we’ve seen before with some extra bells and whistles to keep up with the competition, nothing about it seems really innovative or new to the racing genre despite being “built from the ground up.”

But tbf they used that line 10 years ago with Forza Motorsport 5 and looked how things went after that.

So no, I don’t think PD has anything to worry about when it comes to FM. It’s FM that is still behind, for most things anyway.

Here's my take:

Gran Turismo 7 is like a steakhouse that wants to be a five-star restaurant but is only a four-star at best . . . perhaps only a three-star. The salads are ok, but boring. There are a limited number of appetizers and the menu has at times a limited variety. The staff is welcoming but they don’t communicate as often as a five-star experience should. That’s why Gran Turismo 7 – while praised – is continually criticized for what it’s missing.

Along comes a new restaurant that has more options, friendlier staff, lots of appetizers and a bevy of salad options.

There’s only one issue here. The new restaurant is an Olive Garden.

This is Forza Motorsport.

There’s nothing wrong with Olive Garden. I just don’t confuse it with a steakhouse. And I love the stakehouse called Gran Turismo 7.

Check SuperGT’s review on YouTube to see what I mean.

Granted, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
