...and the Rolling Start Procedure
The start of the race will be somewhere right after the first chicane at Mulsane Straight - It depends on the Pole Driver - this will be on Lap 1!

  • First, you must remember your Grid Spot (Super Lap Qualifying)
  • Hold your positions when countdown reaches zero
  • Pole sitter will make his way upfront!
  • Cars must roll in a maintained pace of 55 mph / 90 kmh
  • Sort your positions based on the Super Lap Results
  • Field will roll double file (form two lines)
  • Odd numbers will start on the inside lane relative to turn 1
  • Even numbers will stay on the outside lane (Opposite side)
  • The Pole sitter will decide the Green Flag before the Finish line
  • You must maintain a minimum of One car length between you and the car in-front (same lane)
  • One car length is minimum, meaning it's up to you how large the gap will be
  • You must always maintain visual contact with the car beside you
  • You're bumper must not go pass the rear bumper of the car beside you
  • You must wait for the car beside you to move forward before you floor it!
  • No passing before the start finish line! Penalties will be strictly enforced for false starts, illegal passing, and overall aggressive driving!

Real Life Example of a Rolling Start:

==================================================================

Race notification from the Stewards

To promote clean driving penalties will be given at this race

We havn't put the penalty system in concrete yet. we will use this race as learning so we will have a good system when the real championship starts. Penalties will generate time added to race time. How much and for what is not solidified yet, but we are looking to only penalize the bigger incidents, not small things.

The goal with the penalty system is to promote clean driving. It also has to be:
- Easy to understand
- Predictable in outcome
- Easy to manage by the Stewards

If you want to submit an incident for review:
- Send a PM to the stewards directly after the race with a description of the incident including your description, which lap and driver
- The stewards will send a PM to other driver and ask for his version
- If the driver in potential error admits, the penalty will be smaller
- If posting an incident on the forum, no penalty will be given
- Decision given by the stewards will be final and will not be debated
- You find the Stewards on one of the first posts

In case of collision between cars.
- The collision has to generate a clear impact on the race result to warrant a penalty, ie car damage or pushing car off track.
- We will hold the overtaking car highly responsible for clean overtaking
- At least 9 out of 10 times the car from behind will get the penalty
- The size of the penalty will depend on impact on race result
- As an example, if you hit a car and as a consequence it has to pit, the penalty will be at least 35 sec (time lost for pitstop)

Change side of track to defend
- A car in front has the right to change side of track once in defence to a car coming from behind
- This change has to take place well before the car behind aiming to overtake
- To change direction just as the overtaking car is breaking the slipstream to overtake is prohibited and will generate a penalty

Shortcutting the track:
- Only repetitve shortcutting in aim to reduce laptimes will warrant a penalty
- No penalties will be given for occational mistakes or when the driver obviously didn't gain any time by going outside of the track (see def on first page)

Livestream - GT500 Race:

IMPORTANT!!

If a spot opens up, and a driver from the waitinglist enters. Everybody behind the driver who did not show will move up the grid. And the new driver will start in last place.

If I do not get information about a late connection from someone atleast 15 minutes before race start. I'll post here in this thread so that the next driver on the waitinglist can get redy for race. If a spot opens up for any reason, I'll post here in this thread ateleast 10 minutes before racestart. I will NOT be held responible if someone loses his spot in the race because of a late connection that has not come to my knowledge. If you know that you might connect late. LET ME KNOW! The guys on the waitinglist needs a few minutes to get ready.

NOTE: It would be great if everybody wrote down the starting positions on a paper to keep next to you, easy to reach. So be awere of if a driver do not show who keeps a grid spot further up than yours. Make sure you move up the grid since the driver from the waitinglist is taking the last spot. Make sure to write down all drivers on the waitinglist as well. Help me, help you 👍

It will also be interesting to see which drivers that have put "WSGTC" as their auto-message. This is also a good method to help the host. 👍

See you soon on the track. 👍

Good luck to all drivers!

Because giving information thru the chat sucks!

Just Sonic Missing at mo Owens got disconnected once but now seems to be in

gt500s im talking about not sure how the gt300s r doing

Just want to keep you guys on the GT500 waitinglist informed that sonic-_-89b has not showed up yet. I'll let you know when if the next one on the list "Centura" can join

The only no shows we've got on the main GT300 entrant list at the moment is: GTP_Masicampo, GTP_Aderrrn, Jai-AE86, asdfg11, and G-Rush09.

awan_afuqja and Ayrtonsenna are effectively in the running now.

Three spots open.

No reason for me ether, never happened before and not on Masi's server ether...

Was thinking not to do this race because I was very tired after a day of go-karting. 4x40 min sessions and 1 session with 32 laps completed, 22 then 10.

i've been waiting all day just to race in with those guys just to be out for no reason... damn it!! haha

I hear you man. GT5 online is just awful and broken, and unless PD get's off their lazy asses and actually fixes something instead of giving us junk we don't need like GT Anywhere, I doubt we'll see any resolution to this crap. Same thing goes for the ghost bug that happened with Monoha.. really sucks 👎

Probably all my fault, if I wasn't there for the first 'race start' you all would probably have had a smooth start and race, sorry guys :-(. Second time I miss a race because of bugs/connection issues :(

Sorry guys, my brake pedal was starting act up in a manner which was making the car drivable, flickering brake pedal was really unsettling the car. This is a shame because Was having a fun drive along with XsApollo. It started to become a problem around lap 6 and got worse. :(

It's a shame but nevermind, will have to sort it out pronto.

Best of luck to all of those still racing 👍

I don't know if this would help.. maybe in the long run..

Please vote for the suggestion "Connection issues" in the feedback forum! http://feedback.gtplanet.net/forums/96709-gt5-feedback/suggestions/1483609-connection-issues

Connection issues

PD should slack a bit more on security so the wouldn't be any connection conflicts between players and the disconnections would disappear. Sucks that you suddenly notice which players you cant play with, because of a known connection issue with them. Shouldn't be like that!

Argh! Disconnected on Lap 15 I think, with a 50 second lead >_<

Congrat Kamy or Neo I think, me and Senninha have handed the race to you on a plate :P

Thanks again Senninha for a good race, you make me work hard though! 4 second gap took 5 laps to catch up, ridiculous levels of concentration :P - Was really upset to see you d/c, but a bit more so for me to do the same a bit later :(

Router died for me, nothing else. D:

That's unfortunate. First time that ever happened this preseason. 4 disconnects?

As far as i know, i never had any disconnects during a race when i host :(

Btw Masi, you said about some people in GT300 cutting a bit much, who was that aimed at? And at what part of the circuit? Me and Senninha were pushing the boundries (though still legal) around lap 4-7 when pushing very hard I think.

I was watching Andy and Senninha battling it out until Senninha got D/C on Lap 7.

I gotta comment that Senninha was always at the limit round the corners (from lap 4-7). I counted atleast 4 times he completely cut the corners - this was when Andy has yet to catch up. This won't be tolerated during the season. Penalties will be handed out strictly :)

Anyway, i guess the small turnout was due to the 1 week off (GT300). I guess racing weekly will be the best route to go.

yes so great batlle sorry for the hit on lap 2 understeered on cold tyres more the expected. i made such a stupid mistake into indianapolis 2 laps in a row because i was concentrating on you. im sorry if i hit you on the lap i got disconected because all cars were lagging very much:(

did you (moieman) pit on lap 7

Nope - tbh, contact on lap 2 was as much your fault as it was mine - I should have given more space to allow for the fact that you would run wide with the tighter line you had to take - was no problem imo.

Was no contact on lap 7, so no worries! (Was close though :P)

Also, I would really really really really appreciate if someone saved the GT300 replay and uploaded it somewhere. I can't get back into the lobby now, my net is complaining and stuff.

i could also self see it i had some problems with tetre rouge and the second chicane on the mulsanne straigth maybe the last of the ford chicanes:) la sarthe is just such a hard track not to be cutting corners because there is no grass or gravel but just asphalt:)

Good race in the 300 category. I started the race with intermediates left from when it rained earlier in the practice. I was too tired that I forgot to change them. Sorry for the bump early in the race Ayrton_Senna1994, hope it didn't cause you the damage it cost me, I had to pit in lap 1 and start again from the back of the pack. I managed to finish 5th after a few battles with Shrugging_Atlas.

Good job everyone, me out.
