It was the classic grey area where FIA once again played their political game and arbitrary decided it was legal without considering the "spirit of the rules"."Magically" considered it legal? Without proof of anything to the contrary there was nothing magic about it. Nobody found real evidence of anything illegal.
Many other times they banned cars and stuff because not because they were breaking a particular rule but because they were "against the spirit of the rules." Obviously bringing this sort of idea into play only when they can get an advantage out of it.
That said it wasn't me bringing buried 2013 discussion back to light. I just reported a recent rumor.
