"Magically" considered it legal? Without proof of anything to the contrary there was nothing magic about it. Nobody found real evidence of anything illegal.
It was the classic grey area where FIA once again played their political game and arbitrary decided it was legal without considering the "spirit of the rules".
Many other times they banned cars and stuff because not because they were breaking a particular rule but because they were "against the spirit of the rules." Obviously bringing this sort of idea into play only when they can get an advantage out of it.

That said it wasn't me bringing buried 2013 discussion back to light. I just reported a recent rumor.

1- This sort of secret test has been reported as a rumor by Bild. A RUMOR read it again. But there's a strange social network comment by a tester refering to a trip in Graz for a week or something.
And for what is worth your opinion does not have more relevance than this rumor.

Bild...cause that's a much stronger support beam to stand on. I don't need to read anything again I saw what it said the first time. Unless it becomes more than a "rumor" what's the point of posting it, other than for you to point out someone other than Ferrari is supposedly cheating. You falling back on the word Rumor still doesn't discount the fact that once again you've brought up supposed cheating from a Red Bull team (not RBR).

2 - Stop talking BS on Giancarlo Minardi. He recognized this weird RedBull traction system before many other people. And it has been confirmed by several f1 technical sites they had something going on on rear tyres traction, yet FIA magically considered that thing legal.
There was also a Vettel interview last year where he was refering to a secret on rear tyres other teams will never understand.

I'm sorry if you bumped your head again, but I'm not talking any BS because there was nothing magically done and even your rebuke to @Samus in your next post doesn't discount you have no proof. Also show us this info that you supposedly have.

No one brought it back to life, just your track record on these things and not being right about them. If it was brought back to life then we'd be there talking right now.

It has become more than a rumor. With RB saying it wouldn't be illegal doing something like that.

And please shut your mouth about 2013 really. What's YOUR proof and where's your F1 experience? Your opinion is not more qualified than Gancarlo Minardi opinion. That's all.

Oh and you are no more relevant than a Blid rumor either.

So what was illegal or in a grey area? What did they abritarily decide was legal? You can't call a car illegal because one or more people have the opinion something sounded odd. There was no evidence of wrongdoing and no other team lodged an actual complaint about that supposed RBR TCS.

Same with this new rumour, have you seen any of the other teams say anything? No, more than likely because they knew about it already and knew it was fine or they found out this week and still knew it was fine.

If no other teams are complaining or even talking about something it's a non-issue IMO.

Went to Montreal For Practice 1 & 2. Mercedes AMG are very strong. But damn these are ridiculously quiet compared to Last Year. The Ferrari Challenger were louder xD. Lewis and Rosberg were around 1:16 for practice 2. Lewis got the quickest lap of the day. Vettel got 3rd "finally" at the middle mark of practice two. Didn't really change after. Catherham were really struggling on the Pinhead Corner locking up 90% of the time.

Best part end of the day was the Classic F1 session <3

Anyone else go to f1 practice today?

How can you be sure no other teams are complaining? There are people that don't always use media interview, they just send a clarification mail to FIA because maybe they think having a direct answer by Charlie is better than constantly making noise with journalists.

This kind of mentality make me think about italian football, when the (il)logic here is if other team is not complaining than it means it's penalty 100% because hey, they are not complaining.. What we have here now? Teams complaining to every single decision when they loose the mach, but when they win the match they say "we must respect referee decisions". LoL.

Back to F1, let's consider this tapis roulant test 100% legal. How much does it cost compared to a normal test?

Either way, do you see or hear anything in the paddock about this test? Have you seen any media actually at the event bring it up, ask the teams about it? Even if a team only privately went to the FIA about it if they didn't like the answer they got back it would be then made public.Like hundreds of other real issues in the past.

You still haven't told me what exactly was illegal about last years Red Bull in relation to what Minardi said.

Relevant because?

Whilst I do doubt they're pally pals again I do wonder if 'my team mate' is clearer on the radio than saying the name.

If you listen to his interviews all year long he's been trying to avoid acknowledging he even has a teammate. It's not just the radio, and it didn't start happening after Monaco.

Went down to a 15.6 by the end. If Merc get the SS working in quali I think they can sneak a high 14.

Hmm, did the Mercs have an issue getting the best out of the SS or did they not want to show their hand? I'm thinking the latter. Or will they use their superiority and qualify on Softs? Could at least make for a more interesting race, but I doubt it.

It would be nice to see one of them qualy on softs , I would go for it if I was a merc driver :)

Let's get pole Hami. I'll even do what the kids do these days. #TeamLH.

Just when you think maybe they are struggling a bit with the SS they gain half a second.

Looks like the Mercs have a fight on their hands. Good.

Edit: Maybe not .

Ouch

Potential for a great race tomorrow. Not much between Ferraris, Williams, Force India and RB in race pace. Both Mercs matched.

I never claimed to be more qualified than those two, and no I wont be quiet about 2013 because you were wrong. I'm not the one that has to back up with proof you never followed up to show us how Minardi was right or how you're right about this. As @Samus said teams who do this usually get reported about in media due to a leak. It's funny cause you tell him not all teams go to media and do it in private, yet someone this "super secrete test" still found it's way to media.

You're just sad over spilled beans because you've had holes poked in your theory. Minardi isn't an engineer or mechanic or anything of the technical sort. Bild is a tabloid first and foremost and try to find and make stories that will sell, which obviously you buy into quite easily. Also in the future if you don't like what people say perhaps just move on and don't reply if all you're going to do is just tell them to shut their mouth

Anyways, the qualifying was average and Lewis got beat and so did Ferrari and the other RBR (this time DR is the other driver). I wouldn't say too much about Williams yet though since a practice and quali doesn't tell me about their overall continued pace in a race. The race will tell me all about that, for me to make a judgement about them in the upcoming race as a mounting threat to either Ferrari or RBR.

RB wrecked Lewis' first lap, anyone know the sector times? Lewis's mistake on his second lap didn't give him pole.
