I hope I don't fall asleep before the start. If I do, I can't watch the replay until tomorrow night or even Tuesday morning.

A shiny new Mazda3, hoping to get up into the mountains or hills in the morning light for some photos before traffic builds up... then back home to take pictures of an ISOFIX car seat installation on the same car... then find someplace shady to take pictures of the GPS navigation system and touchscreen (Mazda has iELoop, iStop... and they have a twist-push-press multimedia control knob that they can't call iDrive... )... I've got the damn car for a week, might as well get media mileage out of it!

And then I have to drive into the city to check into a hotel and perhaps collapse into bed before waking up to take my kids to dinner and take snaps of an event I might or might not have to shoot. I'm hoping I can just show up to eat the shrimp and then go back to my room to sleep.

Anyway It's not just the Mercedes fight I want to see. Massa has been starting on a rocket sleds this season. For only the second race so far, I really have no idea who's finishing 3rd, 4th or 5th. Assuming both Mercs finish. This isn't a race to miss.

He'll still be involved with the design of the car for sure (as well as a road car if Eddie Jordan is to be believed), just in a supervisory role rather than being hands on. Got to let the new bloods in. Imagine being a young designer being led by Newey!

Not suggesting you haven't! Just noting that it's most likely that they'll finish in the order they start. If Nico can continue his streak of getting better life out of the tires, he should have Lewis in hand.

Behind them... yes... there's the question. I doubt Vettel will keep those Williams behind for too long, then again, the Red Bull should have better full race pace, which means that even if they overtake him at some point, he should get back ahead near the end.

Must be disappointing for McLaren not to be up there beside Williams!
