Anyone see what Maldonado hit?? There appeared to be damage and he has retired.

As far as I know the whole line judge at the wall of champions was there for qualifying, not the race. There are no known penalties for this offense. He did gain an advantage, although a small one, but it happened many times before.

Has Nico suddenly become a dummy? He's not driving overly fast, yet he's burning through his fuel and his tyres, and I dont even want to get into that chicane-cutting thing. His next lap should be invalidated!

Perez and Hulkenberg doing a great job!

The inside of the last corner at Montreal could use a few sausages like what's at Le Mans.

Final warning for Rosberg, but no penalty. Hamilton's good to chase him down again. Even he deserves that spot after what happened.

Clearly Rosberg was driving on Fuji Speedway 90's in GT4 last night.

And he gets away with cheating.

NO PENATLY FOR ROSBERG!!

What on earth, he gained an advantage by going off track, that means a penalty????

If you compare Vettel to Nico at the first corner you can see that Nico could have been tighter if he wanted to be, he ran that wide on purpose. As I said before, its borderline on whether he should have given him room.

Nico definately should get penalised for that however, he used the shortcut to gain an advantage whilst not position it was a time advantage. Perfect opportunity for the 5 second pit stop penalty.

As he's coming off the apex, though, he's not obliged to. This is an area of the rules you can exploit defensively.

As for the off that gained him time... he definitely should have gotten a five second penalty for that. Very lucky he didn't.

i think no penalty sets a bad precedent. Now everyone should take advantage of this new elongated straight.

"Nico, Lewis has more rearwards brake balance than you. Do you understand the message?

The penalty is cumulative, Nico's had his second warning I believe. Which is irritating as I've found myself to momentarily be a Hamilton fan.

Checo is a genius with the tyres. He used the super softs all the way up to here and now he's on tyres that'll allow him to go until the end. Here's hoping he adds some spice to the race.

He isn't obliged to, however if Hamilton didn't move and Nico hit him it would look like Nico's fault??
It wasn't against regs what he did, however it won't do any good for team mate relationships, in the same way Bahrain didn't.
