Anybody out there following the Grand Am?

It does look nice, but does anyone know if this car is for the 24 only? The NAEC? Or a full season entry?

Glad I wasn't the only one. The base scheme is pretty nice, it's the added stuff that takes away from it.

I'm fine with it. I bet they will be extremely competitive. If they don't break, they can win.

The same could be said for any and every team that participates in an Endurance Race.

Oh, and this:

Also, I just realize that Alex Job Racing is going to have a bit of a mess on their hands when it comes time for the 2014 season. A Porsche, Audi AND Lotus?

Speaking of Lotus, are there really no entries in the GX class? Even though the Evora was the first car announced to be eligible?

EDIT: McMahon Raceworks looks like they'll be running, but they were not able to make it to the Roar. It'll be good to see the Evora in the field, though I hope it's a bit more competitive than the AJR Evora in ALMS.

There are 6 entries in the GX class. In regards to Lotus, well, what did you expect. It's Lotus.

I specifically meant Lotus, not the GX class in general. The first part of the question, and the follow-up question clarify this.

I'm surprised Lotus even exists. And I really don't expect this car to be in any way competitive.

Ummm, Lotus has no problem winning.

With Lotus running in Grand-Am, and Grand-Am working almost non-stop to ensure that the cars are evenly matched, I actually think the Lotus will do well.

I'm worried about Mazda now. The Cayman squad didn't seem to be too big a threat, but... a GX Evora vs. an FF Mazda?

Genii Capital owns the team, Lotus is just a sponsor. It also helps when you buy a championship winning team.

Despite all their efforts, Lotus has failed in sports car racing.

A Lotus Evora won the SP3 class at the 24 hours of Dubai. They pretty much dominated, never saw them come in with any problems.

"Nothing short of eye shattering"

No wonder I'm blind now.
