No power limiting. Listed in the special rules in the OP. :D

Ok thanks, the Stratos is out, for the moment after 5 cars tested , the faster is also the most "PB classy"1'42" first try with a normal touge tune.

Because of my stupidity, and lack of forthought, testers will need to test all cars and not groups like I had planed. Reason, to get a true drivers choice testers need to drive them all :banghead:. I would still like to end testing on the deadline, but it can be extended if need be. Sorry for that.

On a positive note, most of the cars that have been mentioned should make testing them more FUN!! 👍 :dopey:

I'll have to retract my offer to be a tester then. I was hoping to just drive 4 or 5 cars, I don't have the time to do all of them. :scared:

I have made space for you. 👍

Edit: Krenkme, is it too late for me to be a tester?

Nope, it's not to late, I'll add you right now 👍
  :dopey:

I wish I could make it the way I had planed, but with the drivers choice I see no other way :( :dunce:

Yeah I understand. I just don't have the time like the regular testers do. :(
i have my car, it's 1'41" for the moment just fine tuning online. Very very classy lambo miura.

I don't want to seem like an arse, but how are you able to make the Miura 500PP with only 5% ballast allowed? It would seem like you'd need 80kg to bring the PP down from 507 to 500, which is more than 5% of 980kg.

I don't know if I will either :nervous:

3% ballest which sould make it even tougher

UHHHHHHH. I was 1'40" .... but i translate "NO power limiting" By "NO limit of power" :ouch::ouch::ouch::crazy: POWER LIMITER ?????
I have to do everything again. But the car is good and i'll publish it anyway .....

Sorry for the confusion.:nervous::dopey:

So I hope everyone is enjoying the shootout thus far 👍. Sorry to the testers for my idiocy, but I still think it will work.

As for my car :D... it may not be the quickest, not easy to drive, but it feels at home on this track. Some fine tuning still needs to be done, but here is a photo for all of you to enjoy.

I may have to dig deeper in my quest for originality! :yuck:

Roj, Imma steal the keys to your Camaro just to see if it is my driving that sucks on this track. :embarrassed:

This is my favorite for the moment, Muscle domination in this range of PP and years, due to "NO" power limiter .

Ok, Roj, gave your car a quick test (though you seem to have completely forgot to test mine :grumpy:I supposed you didn't feel like being killed by it just yet).

And it's…very sedated for a Muscle car. There's none of the loony oversteer I was expecting…but it feels a bit joyless to drive…it's not bad, but it just doesn't feel as mad tailhappy as I was expecting, in fact, it seemed to push a bit when you slowed from high speed. And the brakes feel weak. But I'm just nitpicking, really, maybe because it beat my Cougar with 30 less hp, which is rather embarrassing for me…

Go for it, just don't scratch the paint, a'ight? :P

You seem to have completely forgot to read this thread. :P

I managed 1:46.2 in your Mercury Kitten, Onboy. I had a 1:46.0 but I scraped a wall too hard and invalidated the lap.

See. :P

Well that was the point. :P What's a drift-happy muscle car going to do in a time attack? Use the smoke to take a hidden shortcut?

Surprised at the braking comment though. It brakes a lot better than your Cougar and dare I say it, could out-brake a modern car!

I took your car for a quick ride yesterday VTiRoj. The car feels alot lighter than what it actually is. The braking is good and the turn-in is brilliant, but I found it to be a little tail-happy at times.

Edit: No I didnt, that was RJ's car I took, you need to make some space for me on your friends list.

 I scratched the entire left side on my first go.

Sozz, laptop screen just got fixed, so haven't been reading the thread for a bit. :P

You weren't aiming for the laptimes anyways. :P

It just didn't stop it quite as…violently as I was expecting. And nope, my Cougar stopped in time for the first turn whereas your Camaro shot into the posh hotel or whatever it is. In my hands, anyway.

I swear I made room for you already. Alright, another one bites the dust on my friend list.

I know, yet somehow I end up doing 43's.

Perhaps you should brake at the same time you brake with the Cougar and not 5 meters before the wall!

How about you adding him then? It's easier, unless you're too lazy, as usual.

I do! Sometimes earlier! The only way I could get it to slow is to fling it about like a toy. Which it does very well. :D

Hopeing that its just my driving and not the cars, but I seem to be well off the pace with my current choices.

Have an absolutely lovely car that I just have to get the rearend to stay a bit better planted as it is currently eager to trade ends without much notice.

ROWR!!!:crazy::D

I know what you mean xDee. I wasted a whole evening on a Shelby ... I already had a car picked out and then I spotted the GT350 and thought "what could possibly go wrong"... quite a lot, apparently... :(

Back to my original choice I feel...

Even with the nearly infallible low grade tyre tuning method? And I'm getting really rusty with my driving now…I blame the cold. Constant shivers, tight tracks and a snappy little lotus with fly-like responses make for a scary drive thanks to the sledgehammer inputs from my very numbed thumbs.

I know I'm slow and my driving is very rusty from my holiday break from GT5, but a 1:53?:embarrassed:

I'm guessing as it sure currently the better drivers could shave a good 4-5 seconds off that time.

Might break down and try a fresh tune with.the car using my 0/0/0 one as I had to repurpose a previous car that was fully lightened and carrying almost 200kg of ballast and a small touch of the power limiter at 500PP. Needless to say it lost a significant amount of HP when I rebuilt it to shootout specs.:(

Of course the fact that it can still light up the rears under hard acceleration probably means that more HP isn't likely to do a lot for my times.

Even with the nearly infallible low grade tyre trick :( I've managed a 1:55 on SH tyres, but by God, was it a struggle.

You'd think I'd just move on to a more sensible car and yet I find myself sat in front of my console trying to tame 381 blaring horses...
