That place is a heaven for motorsport fans.

I hope PD scanned everything there. I cannot imagine the cars they have there.

You have the Toyota F1 cars, gtone road car, Ts010, Ts040 and other Toyota racecars.
Scanned the TS010, TS020, MR2 Group B car, and a bunch of WRC/Group A Celica’s & Corolla's. Plus the more recent LMP1’s and the GR010 we just got.

Never heard about this, where is this info from?
Seems like Nathan is reiterating a rumor that @AlanH49 said in the past. However I have doubts believing Alan because while he said some GTE cars (including the Ford GT) were scanned during a WEC round, the Ford GT that's in the game is the IMSA version.

PD scanned a bunch of cars at TMG in Germany.
What's the source for this? If true then it would mean that the GT-ONE is the car that the person who leaked the list was referring to when they said the there's gonna be a returning car that's just as iconic as the escudo that's not on the list as they have both the 1998, 1998 versions and the road version there:

Really excited to see this. We have old classics returning such as Skyline Silhouette and Escudo Pikes Peak. But mostly I'm grateful for a bunch of Lotus cars coming up, considering the British sportscar maker was missing altogether.

Source, so that there's no clickbait attempt:sly:

Edit: corrected title
If this turn out to be true then:

LETS *******ING GOOOOOOO!!! LFA!

If not then I would like to take back my excitement.
But on a more serious note the list is looking promissing even the s14 is in which I did not expect.

Out of all of these, only Quattro S1 Rally, Elise 2011 and Europa '72 were tesselated. These three in GT7 would bring number of tesselated vehicles in GT6 from 64 to 67 out of 94. I wondered if semipremiums from GT6 are in this list so lets see (I will assume that Escudo will come to update so its not bold):

50+4(tuned cars that are recreatable with existing cars in GT7 these will stay in future)+3(datamine only so far)+1(Escudo)=58/150. Not a big number. Probably worse than other standards which would be around 280 (without datamine around 220) out of around 600 remaining

It can be concluded that even PS1 era models are likelier than semipremiums.

Nathan likes to pretend he has inside sources but really he just goes by what other leaks and people have said.
For your information PD visited TMG multiple times. The GR010 hit the track in ‘21 and was only shipped to Japan later that year for a Toyota PR tour. A ‘22 aero update may also be coming down the line

You've still neglected to give a source for your claims, as usual.
Scanned the TS010, TS020, MR2 Group B car, and a bunch of WRC/Group A Celica’s & Corolla's.
What is your source? Were you there?

Polyphony also visited the Air and Rail Museum in Manchester and scanned a large selection of historic trains. They're adding "the real rail simulator" mode to GT7 soon. Facts.

You want the source? You can't handle the source.

Seriousy @Nathan88 how long are you going to keep going just pulling stuff out and then not providing sources or qualifying information. If any of what you say is true, that should be easilly possible.

How else do you think news leaks out? There’s been an internal TMG source known to the sportscar community for years. Not everything revolves around Gran Turismo.

It just so happens Toyota & PD’s interests have overlapped in recent years. Which is why PD came over to scan the GR010 shortly after Le Mans ‘21.

Toyota leaks go back years. Including Alonso’s seat fitting which was meant to be secret.

"Hey man can you prove your claims about what cars PD are scanning"

"Sure, here's Alonso's seat fitting."

Cmon...

So we ask you for a source that PD scanned the specific cars you mentioned that they scanned at TMG and you provide a link to an article about Alonso's seat fitting. You clearly don't understand how this works.

Do you want the name of the person who (maybe) leaks stuff out of TMG? :dunce:

The negativity around here is ridiculous
No, just a source for where he's getting his information. I take it he isn't getting it directly.

Here's how it works, I say TVR named the Griffith after an American guy and not a mythological creature, someone says that's not true provide a source and I do this: https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/brief-history-tvr

Here’s a clue:

‘An approach to TMG for comment and confirmation was
clearly an unpleasant surprise, “we have no comment on this speculation”, the response garnered.’

The TMG source for PD scanning models was also the Alonso source. The source behind driver line-up changes, TMG designing a GR010 replacement, and the source for a 3rd car for Ogier next year.

Not that you need to believe any of that. The GR010 was never within 5,000 miles of Japan until late last winter. It was scanned in Germany.

Not everything has to be greeted with cynicism or sarcasm. Given the nature of Gran Turismo lots of news & leaks comes from the automotive & motorsport world. The first we heard of Super Formula was a race meet in Japan. The first artwork we’ve seen from Pikes Peak was a Suzuki VGT PR shot.

I feel like the guy at TMD would know that the "MR2 Group B car" isn't - and never was - a Group B car. Or called MR2.
Not really given Group B/S are often interchanged. It’s a 35 year old car stored at TMG. 222D was a codename. It looked like an MR2 because it would likely have been homologated as an MR2. Not unlike the 205 & Delta.

There where never any firm Group S regs. Which is why we saw so many different interpretations. The final regs, before ultimately being scrapped, would have limited power to 350bhp. Similar in concept to WR1 today. Politics killed the class and saw the introduction of Group A.

None of any of this comes as any news to me whatsoever.

There's three of the allegedly 11 prototypes (of the 20 planned and mandated Group S cars) remaining. Two black cars were at Toyota Europe (one remains and it's not "simply stored" "after a restoration"; it's in full original working order and comes out to play every now and then - notably at FOS and the 2016 Eifel Rally), and the other white car (which is actually slightly longer) at Tokyo Mega Web, where the GT World Tour was in 2019.

The other black 222D at Toyota Europe was apparently bought by the rally workshop manager Ernst Kopp, now head of Hyundai Motorsport's rally workshop. Both were displayed at the Eifel Rally in 2016... and he raced it in the exhibition the following year:

... but it's still not and never has been an MR2 Group B car, by virtue of not being an MR2 and not made for Group B, and you'd think a specialist source placed close to the car and with all this motorsport knowledge would know that pretty basic information.

But what would I know?

I love seeing people who think they're know-it-alls get stomped like this.

If true then it would mean that the GT-ONE is the car that the person who leaked the list was referring to when they said the there's gonna be a returning car that's just as iconic as the escudo that's not on the list [...]
Let me just clarify that I did not reveal anything although I am the origin of said information, however somebody who was close to me did. (Measures have been taken, so enjoy what you can already see. Expect hints at best from me as this shouldn't be toyed with.)

I would also like to clarify that this list is merely references that PDI has made internally, and is not definitive, neither a confirmation by any means that these cars are actually planned. It's been frequently the case regarding GT Sport, and most especially regarding tracks.

Some cars do have more information than others, but a good chunk is just mere references. The car i've alluded to is one of them and may not be set in stone at all, but it's a recent addition that it's also fair to treat as something planned to come.
