^ Too bad we must start the series without you! I would like to help you out with updating the results during that time but I can't promise (for now) if I will be there myself all those races. So if anyone else can help there will be no problem.

Finally did some online racing again.

But...I ran into something regarding the rules for dtm2

It seems it's not possible to set weight/BHP and performance points together. It's either one or the other. So we probably need to convert all weight/BHP to PP's for each car and force the weight penalties by using the PP's...

I think that you can have power/weight limitations first, everyone enters the pit, and then change to PP, anyone over the limit will be kicked.
Need to test this though.

This is for everyone: I will be away for the next 3 weeks and so will miss the first 3 races of the DTM2. I will free up my spot (in Audi TT-R) for those 3 races to anyone who wants to race and who is not on the list. See the rules and regs for details.

You will score your own championship points during that time but i will have my spot back when i return (SS and after). More spots may come available so the championship points will still count.

We still have guys on the list who have not chosen a car/team. You will have until this Monday morning to do so or you will lose your place to the guys on the reserve list.

Sympsymp will run the championship until i get back around the 13th of June so any issues/questions to him.

Im doing the license trick to try and find it, hopefully soon. Some good times on monza being posted, wasnt fastest lap for eu like 1.43 in the race? That merc just loves monza.

Hey JT, i messaged you on psn. I might be struggling to get the m3 race car, just missed it through the used car dealership and according to some calculator thing, ive got another 3900 something days to see it reappear there, so i'll have to do the license trick about 260 times (yay for waiting screens). I read the rules and regs, seem very interesting, especially the 3 tyre rule, some very interesting racing could be had. I also have to agree with you on the monza race in DTM1 was just brilliant.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the tyre rules turn out. We have seen how much different tyre stratagies have changed F1 for the better. Hoping for the same result here.
Monza was awsome! Best online driving i have experienced made even better by the quality of driving everyone showed. The pit straight was like F1 with DRS, lots of overtaking followed by a close chase round to the pit straight again. Gutted im going to miss Monza this time.

Just to warn you guys, the merc clk is capable of 1.42's on mediums if you get it set up right and to your liking. Hopefully my new (when its arrive) will do that

Nope, the extra weight wont really do much if you gear it right. Downforce may add a couple of tenths. The car seemed really different to when i last raced it round monza. Gears is the place to look for extra speed. I found like 2 seconds at suzuka with them. The merc is overpowered to say the least.

Hmmm...seems I have to put more effort in tuning the BMW before Saturday then Never adjusted the gear ratio other then setting the maximum though

Otherwise we'll have to wait a few races till the CLK's are carrying the supermaximum weight Or are they still that fast then?

That's last season best overall lap was 1:43.390 by symp, in race, with some drag I supose.

A fat clk would be interesting. With super penalty and new would be a pain to get off the line and through a really slow corner, but the weight could make up for the lack of downforce. I cant wait to get my bmw gtr, love racing a new car, hopefully it doesnt understeer

Symp if i get a fast tune for the bmw, ill send you it so you can try it. Top tip, set the car up on hards, not softs.

^ would be great! Now we're in the same team we need to share our knowledge! I did some testing and tuning during the PSN outage but really want to know how it will handle online. Maybe tonight. You can borrow mine when i'm not using it but i think you cannot use borrowed cars online...

I just tried it, the pp was 605 with 50/60 downforce and 100kg ballast for me. I seemed to be 2 tenths down until parabolica there i would lose like 8 tenths through understeer and having to back off, could be interesting. Im off to get my bmw now
