Whats up! So in east usa coast the race will start at 6pm? Before race will be qualifying? How much time is the qualifying? Thanks!
 
To make things clear with all those different time zones:

The RACE will start Saturday, 28 May 2011, at:

Amsterdam (Netherlands) 23:00:00 CEST UTC+2 hours
London (U.K. - England) 22:00:00 BST UTC+1 hour
Lisbon (Portugal) 22:00:00 WEST UTC+1 hour
New York (U.S.A. - New York) 17:00:00 EDT UTC-4 hours
Chicago (U.S.A. - Illinois) 16:00:00 CDT UTC-5 hours
Los Angeles (U.S.A. - California) 14:00:00 PDT UTC-7 hours

Qualifying starts about 30 minutes before race start time.
 
Still waiting for some confirmation from the other team members but I have received cancellations from Jav (and JT) for this Saturdays race.
So the following spots are still available for the reserve list members (or anyone else who likes a clean race in a DTM car!):

- 1 spot for the Audi TT-R team
- 1 spot for the Audi A4 team

Let me know if you want to fill in for Saturdays race!

Still struggling with the setup but hurameshy showed yesterday it can be competitive with the TT-R. Lots of torque to deal with though.
Do you got him already?
 
It appears that for 4 members the start time of the race is too late to participate (or to complete the race) so I want to call out a vote to see if it's possible to change the race time for the following races. I think it's too short notice to change the time for tomorrows race.

Nope, its taking forever to find her in the used car dealership, am going to have a go for an hour or so tonight, hopefully it shows up round 600 game days, only 180 days more for me :ouch:. Interesting, i like torquey cars, and monza's chichanes should play into its hands :sly:

Hi JT! The race went very well! We had a grid of 9 cars. :cheers: The tyre strategy made the race a lot more interesting. It caused some drivers who were behind in the first half of the race to overtake and end up in front. And the other way around.

I'm working on the results and hope to have them posted in an hour.
 
After watching the replay several times (PD should make a confirmation dialog when you click that exit button by mistake :grumpy:) I come to the following conclusions:
1)
It wasn't clear if the formation lap was or was not included in the laps of the pit window. It seems almost nobody took that into account and I don't know what JT's plan was in the first place. So I decided that the pit window will be checked with the lap counter in the game (thus not minus 1).
2)
Godoias did not change his front tyres in the first pit window and stayed on hards. He did not gain advantage of that mistake (on the contrary) so I think he should not get a penalty.
3)
Jav did change tyres outside the pit window but that was probably because everybody else was changing tyres during that time. He was multiple laps behind, finished last and since this was the first race with the pit windows and mandatory tyre change I think he shouldn't get disqualified.
4)
Goruk disconnected (he always does that :dopey:) but this time after he finished. Great driving again Goruk!

Nice work symp 👍 and looked like a good race. Well done to Goruk. Lets see if we can slow him down with some penalty weight...lol

The tires rule is really nice, brings a all new level to the races, since you realy don't know what tires the others guys are using in the first part of the race. I was getting :nervous: when Symp was gaining like a second per lap, I was just thinking "if He's on MEDIUMS (like I am) I'm doomed":lol: But then I saw a little "m" on the chat window and since I was changing to SOFTS I thought "We have a race..... FOCUS....FOCUS... Don't Screw it...."

And congrats o my countryman man PIPI who start 5th and finish 2nd, nice recovery:tup:

Lot mistakes here. In pits loose time when chat, puting gas, pit window strategy and i need more pratice. Very nice, congrats to all yours and specially to symp he made i nice work.
 
I found it very awkward to enter the pits, select tires and fuel, then pause it to bring up the chat, to indicate what compound is going on the car. Very busy pit stops! But I got used to it after the first stop.

The race was fantastic. It marks the first time I've made myself a "factor". I ran in the top 5 all day until my mediums wore out and the hards went on. Ugh! What a chore those tires are. Congrats to Pipi and DEATH for coming from the back to finish 2nd and 3rd. What a drive from both. Unfortunately, I was going backwards as they were coming up. The new tire rule really had the whole field going back and forth in a good way. And Congrats to Goruk. The fastest and most consistent car on the track.

Tyre stratagy is going to be huge i feel. Both DBR and Pipi started on Hards, sacraficing grid position for playing catch-up.

Cant wait to race.

My TT-R space is still available this Saturday.

Do we know any of the reasons why the guys didnt race?

I guess we're already testing and tuning for the next race on Suzuka Circuit? It would be nice to have a full grid with 15 cars this time so I want to make sure everybody will show up.
