Plato on pole again, impressive form from Dan Welch and good to see Wrathall back at the sharp end!

Also, Tony Gilham is yet again back in the Insignia after Chris Stockton falls ill:

Wait...Chris James WASN'T wildly off the pace?

Harsh.... But fair. :sly:

Bathurst 1000KM and Japanese F1 Grand Prix. Now a day of BTCC and it's still MORNING.

It was a bit of an ambotious dive down the inside! Andy Jordon doesn't look all too happy either.

I can only presume that due to how chilly it is, it's proving too difficult to get full temperatuure out of the tyres in such a short amount of time, and thats what caught the unlucky few out

Andy Jordon doesn't look all too happy either.

They didn't have a good enough angle to really see what happened with Jordan but from the onboard it looked like Jordan turned across Andy Neate's nose and sent them both off.

Did I really just hear Plato day he wasn't happy that Jackson dropped out!? Who is he and what have they done with the real JP!? Lol

Shame to see Jackson retire - but at least that NGTC Focus looks to be capable of wins already! Can we finally see Mat Jackson challenge for a title next year?

The usual BTCC carnage, surprise surprise to see Chris James, Andy Neate and sadly Adam Morgan involved.

Steve Neal calling the marshalls fat because they didn't put the fire out immediately, very Team Dynamics like...

Jason out from the lead! :(

Do we know why plato didn't finish? I switched back to the F1 as soon as the race finished.

My girlfriend thinks he just gave up, because he knew, and wanted Jackson to win, oh, and because it would be a boost for ratings hahaha

Hmm, Welch 3rd on the grid for race 3. Hope he can get that podium he was owed from Outlon Park.

Electrical problem.

He just sought out the pitwalk reporter and apologised for that comment.

I am laughing at this 15 car snake. Won't last surely.

Bye Neal.

Oh, Jason Plato... Giving Andrew Jordan a smack in the braking zone to push him out wide, make him later on the throttle and taking him on the straight

Really disappointed that Rob Austin fell off the road. Made good progress to get up to second. Such a shame to see a good, clean racer pushed off.

^He wasn't really pushed off, that was a racing incident between him and Welch - Welch had the inside but Austin tried to keep the outside - 2 into 1 never works at Copse. Both should have lifted off but both have a lot at stake seeing as they are struggling for cash. They both need really good results.
So I actually feel more sorry for Welch from that collision as he couldn't really recover (plus he seemed to suffer another incident that wasn't caught on camera as he was right with Austin again when they were attacking Jeff Smith).

I always wince any time I see anyone try a move into that corner.

Interesting situation with championship + the regulations. Honda should be quicker at Brands with an increase in boost but Plato is always very very quick there. Should set up a good finale.

Hopefully Shedden takes it finally, as I'd rather not see Neal or Plato with egos inflated (though they do that all by themselves anyway).

On reflection, I guess you're right; Copse is a bit of a scrum corner.

I'd be more than happy to see Shedden take the title. Plato less so, but just not Neal.
