Indeed, I even though that it was a joke. Like if someone pasted the interor from gtpsp on top of a bumper view image. Some would call it an improvement. The other cockpits ain't that bad, but in this age of " detailed cockpits " looks kinda daft, but an improvement regardless. I'm happy you guys are getting at least some love. I know it wouldn't be the case if the game wasn't so highly bashed

Damn, GT5 2.0? More like GT5 Complete, Or GT5 plus.... It's almost an offense to call it that. But I guess you have to keep your fans interested in the wake of a potential competitor. Most of those features should have been on the retail disc or on a 1.xx patch. I hope they give you guys some good tracks... A revamped EL Capitan would be nice, many love that track and it was the newest in GT4, if my mind doesn't fail me

I'm hoping we get Japanese tracks that aren't in most games like Okayama, Autopolis and Sugo. All fantastic tracks. But get no credit in any games.

Sugo would be kick ass.. recreated some Best Motoring epic races in there. If theres a chance for one it will most likely be it

And I get a new NASCAR with 11 different liveries passed off as 11 new cars? AHHHH MY HEAD IS GOING TO EXPLODE!

All on October 11th? Fail.

somewhat off-topic but at least it's not as bad as a fail as Apple Keynote.

Considering this is the FM vs GT thread and the Spec 2 discussion has been going on for how many pages now?I would love to know how you find it off topic.

Unless I just misunderstood your post. Which in that case disregard all.

Yeah, i think he was stating the Apple Keynote comment was off topic.
 
Yeah, they kinda set themselves up for failure. The update is for the people that already have GT5, which are/were a lot, but the point should be to atract more buyers of the full game.... that DLC plan would have been great in december/january, getting more on the fence people to buy... I find it kinda late now, but GT always has legs, so the hardcore will f course jump on this
 
Can you guys imagine not buying GT5 until after Spec2? The amount of updates required to play it would be just insane. You would put the game in for the first time and have to wait an entire day before you could actually play it. :lol:

As it is right now, it's an around 3 hour update.

I'm guessing all the updates will be on the greatest hits version.

Would be hilarious if the DLC was as well.:lol:

I installed GT5 on my second PS3 the other day.

The whole process takes about 90 minutes. 40 minutes for the full install and 30+ minutes for the huge update. It's pretty crazy.

It's about to get even longer now lol.

Does shift/shift 2 even really count for anything? They're both poor games. I am aware that iRacing has Okayama. As I am a member.

I guess the Apple Keynote comparison was on topic as I was comparing it to the GT5 2.0 announcement.

You must have a pretty good connection. My cousin just bought it a few weeks back finally and it took him just over 2 hours for everything. I think he has DSL. Not sure on his exact speed though.

Your kidding right? It took me 20 minutes to install the 8GB of info at the beginning of the game. Then the updates only took anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Either my connection is mad good, or everyone else has bad internet
 
Really hyped to see what Spec 2.0 is like. With FM being released later in the uk I'll have time to have a good look at it. Mid race saves are my highlight, can't wait to tackle the endurance races. Some of those standard cockpits are embarrassing though.
