I've never known something being rigged to give the same outcome 100% of the time. I always thought it being more favorable more often then not, but not every single time.
You really don't want to let it go do you. I will echo for the last time, rigged would mean EVERY single time you played the demo, you would win the Veyron or Million. EVERY time. Its been clearly shown many times, not everyone wins those when they play. Im done with this argument. When you get in this zone, you are impossible to reason with.

Something can be rigged to provide a favorable outcome, but throw in oddballs every once in a while to make it look otherwise. It's nothing new.

When something is of an opinion, that can't be proven to be fact, then yeah I will stick to my own opinion. Nothing wrong with that.

No need to be so rude though, as I edited this in before you replied.
I suppose it can go either way, though.

I don't use a wheel with Forza, but sometimes I find the cap on steering really annoying. I would love to see the dev introduce proper steering wheel rack ratios and movement in cockpit view with respect to each car. If they can introduce stick and paddle shift animation along with working dials, why can't they mimic actual steering wheel rotation?

Though I know this isn't directly related to what you're discussing. PCARS does wheel rotation really well, whether you're on a controller or wheel.

I have no idea what the steering wheel animation looks like on PCars......because I turn the wheel and arms off!! That's another thing wheel and cockpits users would really appreciate in Forza. Allow us to remove the wheel and drivers arms, we can see our own! And let us adjust both FOV and seating position so that we can get the cockpit view perfect from the seating position in our own rigs. PCars does it really well, no reason Forza can't. It's lazy.

Wasn't meant to sound rude. As you said, I didn't see the edited part before I replied. You are on my friends list so hopefully can get some driving in when F6 comes out. Do you have the ultimate edition?

Not necessairly. I was hoping to have enough left over on my last check last month, but came up a little short, and I couldn't justify stepping down to the Deluxe, because buying the car pass desperately would almost definitely add up to be more.

My next check is on the 11th, and that's when I plan to order it but I'm just hoping that won't be a problem since it's a day after the initial release. Still, @SlipZtrEm pointed out a tweet from Dan saying that there isn't a limit on Ultimate editions being sold, so with that in mind I think I'll be fine.

Nice. Since you said you are getting it Friday, that means you will need a couple or few hours to download it. I have that Friday off paid so if you do happen to get on just send me a party invite. I don't think we have played together since Destiny. Always tough with you being 3 hours behind me.

I think around/under an hour is the usual time, I'm fairly certain its under. The last game I downloaded was Elder Scrolls Online, and I believe it took around 45 minutes? If anything, i'll just leave the Xbox on Auto On that day and have it do it while I'm at work.

Yeah, I'll likely be playing long into the night. Pick up a 12 pack and just go to town on it

Question: What we win in the Demo, will it be transferred to us in the game?
I wanted to get back in the Demo, but it starts again from the beginning. :dunce:
TY.

BTW; The Demo got an update. Anything new? :odd:

The fact that it restarts every time you open the demo leads me to believe that all those spins are not going to transfer over.

Excellent. Looking forward to Thursday and Friday.

I highly doubt we get anything from the demo besides the Ford GT.
Not sure what the update is for since I am not playing the demo any more. Saving my excitement for Thursday.

I agree. Otherwise people could spam the demo over and over again getting millions, and lots of Veyrons.

Yeap, laziness probably. I don't like how T10 keep their settings so rigid; you can't adjust seating position or FOV...can't adjust steering rack ratios or speed sensitive steering. And now that I think about it, I was expecting a much more detailed tuning menu.. instead, you get the same one dating back to FM2.

T10 can and should borrow a few examples from SMS and implement them in future Forzas.

Thats good, the video will show you how to access replays from the rivals leaderboard.

I am from the UK.

I am only on a controller for the time being, at least where Forza is concerned anyway. I used to have a Thrustmaster TX, but I got hit by the reliability issues and was forced to get a refund after only 6 months. I do have a Logitech G27 on the PC though. I will be getting a new wheel for the xbox one though, just waiting till I can afford one again. This is back from when I had a working TX wheel in FM5 though, using full 900° the wheel offers.

Ah, the UK... sipping tea while pinkie raised and everything? "Allao guvnah!"

Sorry I couldn't help it, just HAD to say that!

Update:

You guys are going to be super-pleased with what I've discovered (some of you may already have), so here it is:

There IS a way to do more than a lap in the other three tracks - after the green light hits, don't go over the finish line or move your car an inch. Instead, hit reverse, turn around and go the wrong way. Do a lap, or as many wrong way laps as you like (though only one is required), and when you cross the finish line backwards, powerslide and turn your car around.

Now you get to do two 'normal' laps instead of one. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

@PzR Slim I was watching a video of the demo and I just remembered one of the mod cards was +6% grip, and an additional +6% grip for racing on Yas Marina. Hopefully that is a little hint that track temp can very much be the cause of the issues.

POV adjustment would be nice for sure. There was a way to cheat the POV in F4. You had to tell it you had a triple screen then adjust it to any degree you wanted. Very easy to adjust and worked very well.

TDU1 had a perfect setup for POV adjustment. You could actually adjust your seat up down left right forward and backward. It was perfect. Not sure why other racing games don't pick up on that feature. In fact TDU2 removed that feature for the sequel. Never understood why they removed it. :dunce:

Right, though I think FM6's FOV is about right, eh? It's fine. So was FM5. You don't want to turn off motion effects, cos that stretches out the view in bumper cam...the increased sense of speed is nothing to complain about mind you. :D

Yes that is one of the few things I actually liked about F5. The POV was pretty good.

Very likely that after F6 launches, I will be deleting F5. Hardly played it and if F6 is as good as I am hoping, then I simply wont need F5. Plus I still have F4 if I need to play an older Forza. ;)

More like swilling cheap lager while driving around in our white vans.

When I saw @FordGTGuy's ghost driving towards me at full tilt I nearly dropped the controller, at least now I understand what he was trying to do.

Hahah... the thought never crossed my mind, but that's a nice visual too!

Riiiight... I saw this at least on more than a few occasions where I'd see a ghost charging at me at full speed going the wrong way... 💡

So.. I thought..okay, let's experiment.

I could do without FOV adjustment

Just wish I could lose the driver's arms and the steering wheel in cockpit cam, a la pCARS

Have any of you wheel users tryed both normal and sim steering in the demo?

Is it the same difference as in FM5?

The reason im asking is, i just gotten a TM TX wheel myself today. But only used it in FM5 and i think Normal steering feels like "God mode" compared to Sim.

After seeing a Livestream of my FH2 club leader driving in FM6, I can say,

  • ALL cars are available to drive in free play as rentals.
  • Rewards/wheel spins might not be level limited like on FM4 as he won a BAC Mono, a 458 Italia and and a F12 quite early on he said.
  • The 2014 R18 is a Grip Monster ( although manual with clutch users like me WILL stall at the start due to the gearing and grip.)
All in all, he's a lucky guy to get it along with a few select Youtubers ( AR12, TC900Gaming, Stella Stig and Failrace :D)

Next Thursday can't come quick enough.

I doubt I'll get to it tonight, and I'm gone most of the weekend, but I'm going to try to stream from the review copy on Monday night. Will update with more details as I figure it out.

Many people probably don't care about this feature but in multiplayer the distance between you and surrounding cars has returned! Also the whole menu design within a multiplayer lobby looks a lot cleaner than the FM5 lobbies.

Don't care? Are you crazy! Hopefully that means that we get a counter to show how far we're off the fastest lap!

Haha it just seems like such a small feature compared to other things in the game but it was definitely missed in FM5. I didn't see any counter like that on the stream I was watching but hopefully there's something in the options.

And from all the cars the streamer had it looks like the race aero on street cars is still the same as the last few games. A real shame they haven't changed it at least for the hatchbacks.

It was one of the features I missed most, actually. I loved seeing how fast I was catching up to someone, or how far ahead that other person was getting. Makes for some good motivation to keep pushing harder.

That's a shame about the aero. Would be awesome if they bring back the rear diffuser with the bumper exit exhaust from FM1!

The distance meter was a great tool when racing in close proximity. It was like having another pair of eyes. A welcome return.

I just realized today that you can turn the steering wheel during the countdown before a race. Unfortunately, you don't feel the additional resistance of turning the wheel on a stationary car, but a welcome feature nonetheless.

I tried a few more laps today with my wheel using the S3 on Lime Rock but opted to use Normal steering instead of Sim. It felt much more natural (T10 likes to over-exaggerate certain elements, so my thought is that applies to simulation steering) and everything felt much more predictable. I'm still not convinced the traction on/off switch is an accurate portrayal, but I'm starting to warm up to the physics upgrade.

Oh yes please! Miss the rear diffusers from FM2. Those and wide body kits and racecar kits would make anyone's day. I wonder when we're going to get back the exhaust tips changing after upgrades. They pretty much ditched that since FM3, didn't they? Shame.

Yes it is, I was having troubles controlling the car in a drift with 900 degrees simulation with the standard TX wheel, so yesterday I brought the TM 28 GT leader wheel. With the new wheel 900 degrees is controllable but I suggest 720 for simulation steering or 900 normal (if you have only the standard TX wheel 720 normal is the best). In the beginning I was very critical about the FFB but then realized it could have been way worse, it is no where near rFactor 2 but at least it is better then F5.
