Not what I meant, not what I said either. Do the cables from the original xbox work with the 360? Nope. I still have cables that came with the original ps1 that I could use with my ps3. Little things M$ does sometimes that piss me off. Then again I have 2 360s, but still. Greedy ashholes.

The amount of whining in this thread is ridiculous. You people should have some more faith instead of "I want this game now, and if I can't have it, I will sell everything Sony/PD related items I have and go for Fixbox 360 and their Forza 2.5". Developing a game of this magnitude, especially when it's PD's first complete game on PS3 is nothing short of a huge task, even with 150 workers on it 24/7. You also have to remember that they had scrapped the original modeling version they had and created new one from a scratch, which is more efficient than the old one.

That must be the problem, they've tried to work 24/7 so are now just zombies sitting at computers not actually doing any work
But yeah, this makes me glad I haven't bought a PS3 yet. All the time I'm thinking "maybe I'll spend this money on a PS3, or spend it on X or Y or Z". So far I've been glad every time for not buying a PS3 because of the fact GT5 appears to never be coming.
Again these holidays I plan on buying something, either a new TV, upgrading my PC, getting an Eyefinity set up, or buying a PS3. If GT5 isn't coming out any time soon, the PS3 is off that list yet again.

My faith is not limitless, and while i dont subscribe to the nonsense of 'gran turismo forever' the seeming complete disinterest in the fans of the series and the time its taking is very disenchantising.
I have (we all have, sorry) been waiting for a very long time, a significant portion of our time has been spent waiting so you will have to forgive some if their patience has finally run out.
PD can not rely on the goodwill of the user base forever.

I perosnally think that KY will complete GT5 in the next 2 months. So it would be ready for April release at the earliest.
However, when sony release it may depend on whether the ps3 is making a profit by then, if not I suspect they think they will have the 45nm RSX by Novemeber timeframe and this is the right time to release it both for the profitable ps3 and the xmas market. (although note the slim was released in sept, so maybe the reduced manufacturing version will also het around sept).
It makes no commercial sense to release a game that is a system seller, if you make a lose on every ps3, this just pushes your company more into the red. However, they may find they have this situation anyway, if people buy ps3's for the other exlcusives.
Anyway if sony delay, PD will have more tweaking time.

release may also be delayed because of financial crisis. Soon enough people may have little money to spend on games and videogame systems. If this is true GT5 will be released when the financial crisis is over.
That's why Microsoft got into enertainment business with Xbox in 2001, oh.. they love money much more than anything else. SONY always had their most profit out of Playstation software and hardware alone.

I'm hopeful that Kaz puts this delay to good use. I want all the tracks from GT1-4. I want a variety of bodykits to create tuners and race cars. I want that livery editor. I want as big a career mode as I can get.
In short, I want Kazunori to realize as much of his vision as he can cram in. With whatever time you have available, sensei, use it well.

Sony's announcing dates and then pushing them back is and always has been status quo for the GT francise. Nothing new here. It may not seem like it, but it does sell consoles for them at a time when they normally wouldn't.
Example .... I would never have bought a launch day release of the PSP had it not been for the firm announcement that GT would be one of the launch games for it. After waiting patiently for 5 years (oh ya, like that's true) I finally get to play it

, I couldn't agree more. Like I said before we should all just enjoy the new screenshots and the videos until E3 comes around. Then we shall see what GT5 can really do. We know GT5 will be there because there has already been so many demos and there will be another one there (hopefully). I think this will be the least we can expect. Also as well as this has PD named and mentioned all of the features yet? If they have then there is only one more thing to announce. I'm sure Sony wouldn't ever dream of showing up to the biggest gaming show in the world without the most hyped racing game in the world.

I don't understand how this would confirm the delay was due to production issues like some of you guys say. Right before the day of the announcement about the first "official" delay, Kaz repeatedly said March 2010 for Japan, in numerous interviews.
It just doesn't make sense to say it will release March 2010 in Japan, then a day later he thinks to himself, "Nope, never mind. Let's delay it so we can polish it more." It sounds more like Sony discussing behind PD's back on when they really want to release the game and take advantage of its popularity. It's business, so of course they'll take advantage of the consumers and fans.
When Kaz said 90% in January, I do believe him because the official cover art was released on that same month and the fact that it made sense to the progression of 65% from TGS 09. GoW III was the same. No, this is not solid enough of a support, but it makes sense, at least.

I really dont think we will see it until the end of the year and if it is put off to next year then i can honestly say my enthusiasm will be seriously drooping. I put my order in with play.com as soon as it appeared on their website. I dont even bother looking for dates anymore seeing as i refuse to believe any of it until i have the game in my hand. Simples
