Yeah that's a good time man, you'll be just fine.

Should be a fun weekend; some IndyCar fun at Monza followed by 600 miles of arrow straight road to bump draft in the Sprint Cup.

Looking forward to it all đź‘Ť

To be honest Monza is my kryptonite. I will have to practice this week.. For me its Monza, then 100 miles at Daytona. Hopefully AC and Mstall make SSRX. Other wise looks like 2 NNS drivers will have to run at SSRX 2..

Christ, that's gonna be a long weekend of racing if you have to do all 3 events mate.

I wasnt to key on running Monza duringNCS due to lack of prectice. But Cowboy didnt want to dedicate the time..

I wasn't keen on it originally either, but it was much more fun and dare I say, easier, than I expected at first.

I wasn't sure if I even had the time, so best you did it.

Normally i would worry about the big acceleration zones but with TCS allowed it shouldn't be too much bother. Just the last corner really that could be troublesome

Stepping out some as you try to put your foot down to get more straightline speed?

That's what im thinking yeah, the back end can step out with racing softs and all aids on apart from ASM.
So i imagine it could be pretty lively through there with just comfort mediums and active steering. Which equals good fun :D

Has anyone done any test laps at moza? I have clock around 50 laps there and just curious of the lap times. I'm currently stuck at 1:22.9xx.

Edit: Also picked up a 2nd and 3rd White FGT

I might have to go over the replays better this season. I've watched back a couple of races and seen a few things that weren't spotted before (such as when someone cut across the solid line when entering the pits). I'd may as well take some pictures too while I'm doing that; both of incidents and of good racing photos.

EDIT: Basically I need to go over them the same as I did for the 2 races where I was the head steward.

EDIT 2: Will we be doing what IndyCar now does on road courses with lap down cars in the last 25% of the race? (if there's a caution they are made to do a drive-through so that all the lead lap cars are in front of them for the restart)

I think we might do that Joe. If a caution came out and you were a lap down, at that stage you'd have no chance of winning anyway.

Just on the road courses obviously.

So we still get a wave around, but just start at the back?

The wavearound would still happen as normal, but if you're in among the lead lap cars, you have to pit so you restart behind them all. However, since you can't do a drivethrough in GT5 (you have to get new tyres), we may have to just have the lap down cars pull over at the side of the track until they're behind the lead lap cars.

Yeah, pull over at the pit wall sounds like a plan. I'll get all this written up tomorrow night.

Also, any ideas on concrete rules on blocking Joe? It's allowed now in IndyCar but I can't remember to what extent the rules dictate, obviously we don't want 10 swerves down a straight.

I think it's now the same as blocking in F1- you're allowed 1 blocking move before each corner. I don't remember if you have to hold your line (e.g you block someone from passing on the inside. Do you the have to stay on the inside for the corner, or can you move back over to take your normal line if someone isn't next to you?)

Well I like the changes. Did some tuning at Monza and was able to get into the 1:22's. Tom have guys put a car on track yet?

I only got a few laps in yesterday, 3 or 4 as I was busy. Think I was low 23's but I'm sure I could improve.

Will be updating the OP tonight with new rules đź‘Ť
