Here's the final ruling. I've decided to leave the 'blocking' situation as we've never had any real problems and the OLR deals with it fairly well. No weaving down the straights and no aggressive blocking is all people need to adhere to.

Lapped Traffic

If a caution comes out in the last 10 laps of the race, there is a special procedure lapped cars must follow. You will follow the caution rules as usual, but after the field has formed up following the pit stops you must pull over at the pit wall (Don't go into the pits themselves) and let the lead lap cars pass you. Once they have all gone by, you are free to rejoin the back of the field ready for the restart. This rule has been implemented so the leaders can fight for the win without having to dodge lapped cars.

So, is anyone able to sign up still? Or are all spots filled up, because that's not what it says in the OP.
Even a reserve role will be fine with me.
If Immortal is picked for the Lotus team, i can be reserve.

Immortal isn't in the series mate. If you have a yellow/black car you can sign up for Lotus?

Well I fell upon some tuning tips for FGT's and managed to find a little more than a secon at Monza.

Awesome, i'll be there for the pre-season race.

Add Tom_97_COD on PSN and read over the rules on the OP. Welcome to the series mate 👍

We're officially full now. Like I said if we have more than 15 drivers on a Friday, I'll make sure each team has two drivers at least, then ask if anybody would willingly leave and if not, then I'll ask somebody to leave based on either their reserve/full time status, seniority, championship position or a mix of the three.

I'll never be asked to leave! -disconnected-

'Seniority' basically means S1 vets are almost guaranteed a spot. So you're pretty much right

I doubt we'll have many issues though. We've got 17 drivers, Tom won't make many races and I anticipate at least 1 or 2 people missing per week due to unforeseen circumstances.

If a team is left with just 1 driver we could always transfer a driver from a 3 car team to fill the spot and even out the teams, though we'd have to know if the person who left the 2 car team will return or not.

Of course 👍

I can't wait for a full grid for the 500!

Shall be awesome, we had 12 last time right? Including a couple of lunatics. 15 experienced drivers on track will be epic.

Oh and I want a finish like this to our Indy 500 :D (I know this has been posted in our thread quite a few times before but it's my favourite race finish of all time).

Nice to see a full grid, good job Tom.

If anyone doesn't have the DLC required / can't make the SSRX race or the Indy 500 due to its enormous length, I'll be happy to fill in for any team. I just can't get enough of Indianapolis and I won my only race there in S0 of this series so it would be an honour to race.

Just pm me more closer to the time :)

Cheers man. It would be a pleasure to have you at the 500, I have a feeling we may lose a couple of guys but most of the racers here are reliable so we'll see 👍

So I found the extra pace at Indy about a week ago, now I need to find some more pace at HSR since I qualified 4th or 5th there and didn't have the fastest car, only winning thanks to a bit of luck separating the field after the only caution. (The caution being when Mustard span and I came round the corner a few seconds after and collected him as he was starting to recover)

My only concern so far is the heavy damage. If you collected by someone else mistake you are not gonna finish which kinda kills the point of raciing in a game tho.

That's what the cautions and penalties are for mate. And to be honest, I trust (and know in most cases) that all of the guys here are experienced and clean racers.

Agreed

Edited: Chqr I know of one race you can fill in for me if you upto it. It will be May 11. I'll be in vegas..

Sorry dude but I can only do the HSR, SSRX and Indy races due to exams and school commitments. Let me know closer to the time, no rush yet. :)

They're called crashes, sometimes the car doesn't work anymore after them too. Weird, isn't it? :boggled:

We have cautions for 2 car crashes/incidents, so it shouldn't be a problem. (e.g a caution was thrown when I crashed into a recovering MustardAddict at 160mph at HSR)

There wasn't for me when I had the same accident.

There's sometimes confusion but what can you expect really? If it happens in real life occasionally you can bet it will happen here as well every now and again. But the majority of the time we make the right calls in the heat of the moment.

The new setup I used at Spa has a little too much oversteer here at Monza NC, particularly in the lesmos, ascari, and parabolica. Guess I'll be using one of my older setups.

EDIT: Never mind, it's fast once the tyres are warmed up. It's still a little oversteery though, and will be worse on hards.

I've set a good time but will keep it within my team.

Joe was too fast anyway :P

Well i must have stumbled on your setup because im in the situation but once tires get warmed up its a beast. Im still gonna wait to test with pagey to se what we can come up with...

Anarchy's/Matty's setup is really working for me; feels very stable even on cold tyres. Whether it can keep up with you guys we'll have to see, though the Spa testing suggests that it does.
