I've added a poll stating 'Should we race at SSRX this season?'

I'm not a particular fan of the track as it seems far too large, fast and uninteresting for 453 BHP Nascars. Qualifying would be an issue as it would take an incredible amount of time to do an outlap, hotlap and inlap to qualify. For sure you could have a qualifying race but that isn't in the point of Nascar Nationwide racing.

I also have seen a few interesting player created tracks such as Pocono, Darlington and Martinsville where the ovals look more akin to real life Nascar tracks than the enormous SSRX. Also some of the field do have the DLC as I've been told so it would be pointless to go to a track where the field who be half empty.

So make your vote and the poll results are not made public so do not fear there.

If there was any lag last night, turning off visual damage in the lobby might help.

Was last night's race in a private lobby? You should definitely be running in a public lobby. The connection is typically better, no one but the host can adjust room settings, and you have the ability to kick any unwanted drivers.

Chqr - I noticed a few things that you need to change in your scoring. ACDC needs an * by his name and you need to take the * away from Akmuq.

Ideally, the Sprint Cup drivers should just show 0 for their total points. Their week-to-week numbers are ok, but they shouldn't even display a point in the total column.

This is interesting and I might be inclined to try it.

Will get revised standings up later.

No problem Drop. I thought that it would be easier for Sprint Cup drivers to see when and where they finished once we start getting in the schedule. Of course, that does mean to say they need to have points too so will amend that :)

I was wondering why Akmuq left after only showing up for about a minute or two.

Crazy had sent a message that he thought we couldn't run 4 cars, and I panicked and left, while I was leaving I heard you saying it would be allowed.:ouch: Ah well, I had no setup and went to dominate WSM, so it's all good.

I suppose it was grateful of Crazy as RBR had only one guy running and Crazy was probably expecting another RBR guy to turn up.

Not to worry as this week, I'll expect most of the full-timers to race.

It looks as if this Season we'll have 3 cars per team so that's 15 cars on track with RFLX running the stream so that will be ideal.

I expect a lot of Sprint Cup guys to fill up any loose seats so that's the Owners' job to make sure they got 3 cars on the track for the race.

Well with akmuq gone I have an open seat in SC as well. Whether Carb or Smuffy takes it is up to them. And if they do, then my RCR team has two seats open. Of course mudd, dowhat and myself will try to fill that seat most races. But I already know that will only happen maybe half the races. So even if I get another driver, RCR is going to be looking like a two car team at best.

Popped an advertisement in the OP and Thread title for ya and Joe.

I think the other owners are satisfied with their current line-ups.

I know Mudd will be around after expressing an interest in the Nationwide Interest Thread.

You could try and grab homeslice, Jakob or mustardaddict for the interim.

funkyDucks might not be able to run a 3rd car part-time so might be worth giving him a PM.

no not the 83 car :sly: also I dont wanna be a part time drive but a full time driver (I saw the 2 open slots)

Yeah, he pulled out of the Sprint Cup as his connection would have affected the races. He handed over the reins to Mule 👍

Ah, good man. I was wondering how his connection fiasco would work out.

Well, the field is shaping up nicely with Rick Ware still in need of at least 1 more full-time driver.

If we do pull in a driver it will be just one. And to be honest I think we're planning on running 2 Sprint Cup drivers for most of the races as there's few reputable drivers left. Rich has time constraints as does homeslice I think.

Okay no worries there. Just want to make sure every team has got at least two guys grabbing Owners' Championship points every weekend which looks very likely now.

SCHEDULE ANNOUNCEMENT!

Ladies, gentlemen and Furinkazen, there has been a major Schedule change.

The Preseason Race @ Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been cancelled and the start of the Season is now a week sooner!

This means the DRIVE4COPD300 will start THIS SATURDAY at 6pm GMT / 2pm EST. We hope the 50 lap test race helped give you some setup preparation ahead of the big event.

The change has been made after our parent series, GTP Nascar Sprint Cup Series has unfortunately suffered a calendar amendment and to ensure drivers are not driving 800 miles on the same day, we are having a whole Nationwide Opening Weekend all to ourselves.

We'll see you raceday. As per usual, I am working from Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm GMT and have Saturday 7am - 3pm GMT so do not expect me to able to reply to messages using my phone until after 7pm GMT when I've got my PC.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused. I'm sure everyone is looking forward to getting this thing going so Furinkazen and Ryan has less of a headache.
