Hi all I'll be doing High Speed Ring because its getting on towards a proper race track

Won't be doing the remaining 2 oval rounds though. I'm lousy at that kind of racing, can't get my head round the
etiquette required, and I think my presence on the track is detrimental to everyone else involved

If you're going to run the first three races, you should definitely show up to the last two. You're probably third or fourth in points right now, and you will already have very valuable experience in the two oval tracks. Bumpdraft with someone at Daytona, and loosen up your truck's setup for Indy, and you should be good to go for the rest of the season. 👍

As for MustangRyan...how did you take care of you tyres so well? U lasted about 22 or so laps if im not mistaken.

Having a slower truck actually made my job easier. I was just going into the turns slower, and accelerating out harder. The Chevrolets were ~15mph faster on the straightaways (195mph to my 180mph), and could easily run me down. But, it looked like most of the Chevys were going into 1 and 3 too fast and sliding up the track, which slowed them down too much and wore out their tires faster. For the last 4-5 laps of each stint, I was just rolling into the corners off of the throttle and easing out of the corners to make sure I didn't spin out.

I know we talked about situations like this during the Indy race, and I think Moe's points should be adjusted to reflect ninth place points for the Daytona race. Even if you wreck/blow up in turn 1 of the first lap, you get 9th place points, not 16th place points.

True, but i mentioned how i didn't even get to turn in at Indy due to my disconnection, i guess the car kept going after i was out of the room/race. Fair enough.

I'd lime to think my opinion counts for something here. I believe if an individual makes every effort to race and then get dc'd, legit reason to leave mid race etc etc, then they should get points to reflect their efforts (points for 7th if 7 are running etc). We don't have enough runners to be chastising people in such incidents. I would have been very upset if I retired when I was considering it, to only get one point.
