02 - Brickyard Indianapolis 100 - Indianapolis 40 Laps - 30 July

Furi...

The remaining 2 Daytona races, are they both on the oval?

If so, its one too many imho :)

I reckon you ought to make race 4 at the infield circuit for a bit of variety :D

Race 4 and 5 (misprint) are going in. Next week no race as I am away, so I've cut a race out.

I suggest Race 4 gets moved to Indy (maybe even the road course?) because to be honest, I suck at Daytona

Surely the schedule is the schedule by now, shouldn't really be changing things now we've started ;)

Well next week I have found out I have to go away, so race 3 is two weeks tomorrow.

My mic has died and the charger cable has gone missing, so I may have no communications tonight.

Cant wait for tonight. If my connection doesn't play games with me, should be a cracker of a race.

I have a tight schedule tonight. I may miss the quali, but ease wait for me for race unless you hear in the contrary.

I suppose there's no way to get it below that 1700+ kg, so it's got a disadvantage especially against the Tacoma right there...

How have you guys taken out the HP from your Chevy's? I tried taking off some less useful parts and letting the limiter do the rest (it's at 89.6% right now) to balance it out... the car still feels pretty powerful and tough to handle through the much tighter-than-Daytona corners, but I'm not so sure if it's in a race pace...

My Ford couldn't reach 1500 either, and just used limiter for power reduction. I am just planning in sitting back and watching the carnage ;)

Plus, still pushing to make quali but it's tight. Sorry about double post but on phone.

What a finish to the Quali Race. 0.001 difference between 1st and 2nd. Could it be any closer? I think not. Photo finish!!!

There's always the chance for 0.000 seconds ;)

Now it became a mess :/

Great racing! Next event is two weeks time at High Speed Ring - results of this race to follow!

That was a very fun race today at Indy. The early three-wide inside dive-bombing in turns 1 and 3 made me very nervous, but thankfully no one botched it up for someone else (that I saw). I can't wait to see what these things do at High Speed Ring.

Hi all :) I'll be doing High Speed Ring because its getting on towards a proper race track

Won't be doing the remaining 2 oval rounds though. I'm lousy at that kind of racing, can't get my head round the
etiquette required, and I think my presence on the track is detrimental to everyone else involved

I'm a handy racer, as MrMulsanne can testify from my performance at Tokyo in the BST V8's, but ovals aren't for me

Roll on Toca 3!

Thats a shame Racepaul. I never consider myself a good Oval Racer. But it seems i have a better success at it than normal tracks. lol.

Yesterday i made a mistake by pitting 2 laps too early and it cost me 2nd place and ended up 5th. I had just got passed turn 4 and it though it was ok to put the pedal to the metal...only for my read-right tyre to spin ferociously and ended up sliding sideways into the wall and back across the track. I was wondering if MrMulsanne and Akmuq would run into me. They dodged me on time.

As for MustangRyan...how did you take care of you tyres so well? U lasted about 22 or so laps if im not mistaken.

It's all in the setup moe. I was great on my tyres. I was only taking the turns at around 135 since you were all holding each other up. Man those trucks really felt heavy last night.:dopey:

I was keeping together with Akmuq, as briefly I was going to run out of fuel.

I had great pace last night during the race. But my setup was just all wrong and too heavy on the tyres.

On a side note, i like how the race is balanced now.
