I'm jumping in the lounge now... gotta figure out how to tune tranny for the race... going to be hard alone, but I'll just leave a bunch of room for extra top speed. Only going to be on for about 75 minutes.

Yes, even practice races are held is our private lounges, which are already close to the 100 friend limit, so we can't just add random people who haven't taken at least a few hours to put into joining the Registry.

Jumping in the B lounge for a quick 45 minute practice.

EDIT: OUT.

We have to start on hard tires, so in the practice race we'll have to qualify on hards if we want the system to automatically sort us.

Or we could just scrap quali and start in order of championship points. It doesn't matter much with only 5 of us anyway. Matthew and I are tie and 10 and Gazzi and Mika at 0, but the guys who participated in both events should get the nod (Matthew and Gazzi). So the order would be:

GTP_PASM, GTP_gmmatthew, GTP_WRP001, GTP_Gazziboy, GTP_Mika

Anyone who joins we'll just slot in according to points or if no points in the back.

Great just got logged off off psn for some reason race wasn't going well anyway had softs on the back and hards on the front not what I wanted.

Lots of mistakes for me that one... gotta run now given our late start.

Don't worry about mistakes during practice races... they are going to happen. Obviously, do your best not to make contact, but don't quit the race over them. I got collected in 3 accidents in front of me the first 3 laps... but then I made my own later... just a practice... got a week to do preparation and I need it!

I hope to get on today and try and get some practice as I might be able to make next weekend :).
Ill post when I get on GT5

Joining now for a bit. Not sure how long I can stay.

I'll jump on soon too.

EDIT: Out. 1'44.9xx is my best so far in 45min of practice.

The .practice race was great yesterday! Was running mid 1'44s before yesterday, but after the race I had run a 1'43.0 (on lower fuel ofc). Plus got fuel consumption, tire wear data, traffic and dirty air practice! These things are awesome.

@Oink: Are you still planning to broadcast the F1 race at Spa?

Three of the top 6 in points (Spurgy, Twissy, GhostDriver) and two more in the top 10 (w-g-e and Tidgney) are not registered for the race yet so there will be some pretty big movers in the points table. Bart looks to pad his already significant lead and DrAug close some ground on gooners.

If you aren't signed up yet, but plan to race, please sign up soon so and we can start planning on room splits (or not).

I ordered a T500RS 2 days ago, but not sure if I'll get it in time for the race yet.

I hope you get it in time!!! Which rim did you go with?

If it's the original GT rim you should start exercising and limbering up your pinkies to reach those fixed paddles. Not an issue with many cars, but with the F1 car where you shift while at significant steering angles it can be tricky. More or less just takes time getting used to... I prefer the moving paddles which is one reason I use the F1 rim regardless of the car.

PS> There are a few guys that are signed up as confirmed for the race, but not for qualifying. If you end up not making knockout quali you'll want to schedule a pre-qualifying session with a steward. You have to run that *before* we start the knockout qualification. You can qualify as high as the top guys that advance to Q2, but not in front of any drivers that advance to Q3.

Yes, need to get a bit organised. I'll post up the link when I have the event setup. It will be streamed over Youtube again, so when the time is right, I'll embed it here for people if that suits.

👍 I'll update the OP and maybe we can put the stream there where the link to twitch is currently.

If any of the drivers have new info for oink's broadcast please fill out the form. New drivers or just updated strategy and goals for spa. All info you share with regards to your goals will be kept confidential... At least until oink spills the beans during his broadcast, but then it's too late for us to use it against you :sly:

Wish I could co-broadcast and drive at the same time as I'd like to do that again!

Ps. Have some races tomorrow and then turning my full attention to this on Thursday.

I have registered, should I post this here ???

Welcome, yes you can post it here as well just in case it doesnt show on the registration table, but looks like you are signed up :).

Make sure you send your PSN friend requests to the lounges. You need access to the lounge for the practices as well as qualifying and the actual race on Sunday. Since your new to the series it's recommended you hop in for one of the practices just to make sure we don't have any issues with your connection.

Note: Any practice people want to do today should be in the B lounge (GTP_3D3_B). As soon as the WRS weekly races are complete later today we'll dedicate the main lounge to the F1 series until after the GP. The official practices starting tomorrow and all other events through Sunday will be held in the main lounge (GTP_3D3Racing)
