.: Drivers Briefing :.

You must follow the car specs and regulations pictured below! Not following specs will result in an immediate disqualification.

Your car must be fully broken in before each race. Not following this rule will result in an immediate disqualification.

You are NOT ALLOWED to go in the settings page between feature & sprint race.

While inside the race lobby, do not use the 'chat' feature while stewards are sending out instructions for pre-race checks. If you have questions, go ask them now! Otherwise, read the op. We will be using a special pre-race qualifying that is listed below - read it! Thank you for your patience!

.: Suzuka Circuit | Japanese GT | Specifics :.

suzuka.jpg

circuit_map_09jpn.jpg

qualification rules for Suzuka will be usual. You have 2 laps to submit your superlap.

This is a clip from Wardez for the promotion of season 2

Tyre Regulations

  • All qualifying will be run using Racing Hard tyre's
  • In every race ALL cars will can use of 1 set of Racing Medium tyre's. This also applies to the sprint races.
  • The use of the Racing Medium tyre's is optional.
  • During each sprint race, there will be a "Pit Window". This is where all cars must pit.
  • The Pit Window for each sprint race will announced in the race specific thread (here) in the week prior to the race.
  • If you damage your car and wish to pit, you may, however you can still only use 1 set of Racing Medium tyre's per race. you will also still have to pit in the window.
  • Failure to pit during the window in the sprint race or using more than 1 set of Racing Medium tyre's will result in an immediate disqualification.

The startline is NOT the same line as the one where the timer starts. So just because the timer starts when you pass the line to do your first real race lap, you can not overtake.. The startline is where the pit exit is place.. I'll post a picture..

suzukacircuit3.jpg

important note:

  • Make sure to stay on track at ALL times with at least 2 wheels touching white line / Red / White curb. You can not use run offs or tarmac of any kind to gain speed. You will be penalized heavily during the race and disqualified for having a dirty lap in qualifying.
Just stay inside the rumble strips and course white lines.

    Pit lane.
  • Entry: Just be careful and do not cross the white lines.
  • Exit: Nothing special about the exit. Just make sure to stay right when you enter the track until you are 100% sure that you will not cause an accident.
General: When entering and exiting pits, the white lines are ment to be respected. Yes, you can cross the white line when entering and exiting the pits. But if an incident occur, the driver who crossed the white line (The one on track, or the one who comes out from the pits) will be held responsible, and a penalty will come as a result.

.: CODE OF RACING CONDUCT & PENALTY SYSTEM :.

You want to report an incident? Click here!

All penalty's will be provisional until the 4 C's have been completed by
the PURE Racing Evolution Group

"4 C's" process approach to resolving incidents - Contact, Check, Convene, and Convey.

Contact - we will contact all drivers involved. People will be told against PM'ing us, instead they will only need to fill out the report (which will be a Google docs sheet) then they'll need to wait for us to contact them.
Check - we will then follow up by checking available evidence, like replays, photos, stories, and comparing them for consistency.
Convene - it will be a rule that in order to complete the process we must get together with at least one more official to get their opinion and confirmation on findings or proposed action, we will not contact any drivers involved at this point.
Convey - we will contact the drivers involved and officiate the results or penalties and send the package to series heads for posting/archiving.

51 laps, so in other words this race will be a 2 hour race almost!

I think I am going to cancel my real life plans on Friday night now.

51 laps at the best track in the world > Bitches and ho's!

lol you don make me laugh with your sayings

also looking forward to this race

2 stopper. :P

Couple places to cut at Suzuka, I expect people know by now if they accidentally cut, or think they did, the smart play is to lift throttle for a second.

Hehe

Pag, after this championship finishes next month you up for join the Euro GT500 again? Got 6 spots to fill!

Might be on tonight for some practice...

also could everyone please state to us if you cannot make this race. Just so we have a rough idea.
I think moleman said he can't....

Will be a great race. Suzuka is the best track for an Enduro IMO.

All the top PAL GT300 drivers have roughly the same ballast too, unless Mole decide to do a late entry as usual with his flyweight car.

Saw that Chick already qualified with a 2:06.0. Good to have a target.

Might join you tonight Pag for some fun races.

2 stopper. :P

Doable. Below 3000 rpm ;)

I am thinking 6 stints of 50 km's each. Maybe 5 stints of 60 km.

But fuel is also important, the full tank tank lasts maybe 200 km, so you will have to add 50 litres during the race. The first 10 or so comes free with each pit stop, more than that makes it take longer.

Ill probably be on in a few hours if anyone want to qualify or just practice.

Ballast figures for next round:

For stewards, the complete car specs sheet is updated (we could share it if someone else wants to have a look).

just want to have a little bit of fun before I start practicing for this race. So I've opened up a room.

shuffle races, winner chooses shuffle base rate and vote for race track

room number closed

Says the guy that claimed 6 stops in the RX-7 finale, then pit 2-3 times only during the actual race. :P
Without having tested, my bet would be 3 stops / 4 stints.
I honestly don't know, but I figure since I left RH's on for 23 laps at Indy with 90KG's ballast, I can probably easily get 13 a stint for a 3 stopper in reality here.
17 laps for a 2 stopper at Suzuka might be possible, but is almost guaranteed slower with all the twisty sections.

3 seconds slower a lap from lap 13-17 would equal 33 seconds for race time, and it's probably closer to a 4-5 second drop between 13-17 vs fresh tires.

That's a shame, you're on path to win a race or two in the near future. :(

I'm looking forward to this one. gonna be a long hard slog, but it'll be a good laugh i reckon.

on a side not CSL... your sig says
"Everything can kill you, even oxygen, the difference between something good and something toxic is dosage"

I'm afraid I disagree... cigarettes are no good for you. full stop... I'm not preaching or anything, but even in a small quantity they're no good lol

Didn't do to good in practice today. Hope that doesn't follow me any further in this round. I would put 1 wheel in the dirt somewhere and blow my braking at the next turn with a dirty tires. Was getting front wheel lockup.

I'll be back on later pst if anyone needs to q. Probably need mine done tomorrow.

Sorry to hear that man, well if your free I'm sure you could alway start in the back if you haven't qualified.

Hey don't break my deliberate confusion and obfuscation attempts ;)

Seriously the RX7-TC ate tyres on Suzuka, 4 laps of qual and they were practically done. But before the race I made a slower tune where I could just tip-toe it through 8-9 laps and 3 stops.

13 laps in GT300 cars may work. But I am seriously wondering if it pays off, it means you will wait for the hopelessly slow fuel guy at some point, and/or carry more fuel on average than if you do 4 stops.

And of course, you run slow laps 11-13 four times.

Well that's 11 extra laps on tires. if your extra laps on each stint total 30 seconds over the race, then they're about equal.
So they'll need to be roughly 3 seconds slow.(average)

Correct. But again the fuel loading could take 10 secs more with fewer stops (just a guess), so the slow laps would only need to be 2 secs slower.

But then there is also the fact that you can run longer stints on a mostly empty tank. And some short-shifting might improve fuel efficiency and so require less fuel loading.

I have really not decided yet. But I admit it will probably not be 5 stops :)

Right, but remember that's 2-3 seconds worse than the average of laps 1-10/11.

Example: PB 2:00, lap 10 2:03, average lap from 1 through 10 falls around 2:02. lap 13 would need to be at least 2:05 or even 2:06 depending on fuel amount and lap 12-11 times.

What I'm saying is, take the tires down as low as 20-25%, if you haven't done at least that, you've probably left some time up there.
Of course at tracks like Daytona and Indy road, the pits take 45 seconds instead of 25-30, so on those, 1 stoppers work great. :)

Much better practice tonight. I'm in NTSC-1 if any wants to qualify.

Toyo mentioned the timing being off. The room seemed off as well, for me like a second off consistently. 5 guys from all over.

Now low 2:00's down to a 1:59.713.

*Will be on this afternoon, night time gmt. To help out any.

I guess I can call my first tire test a rain out when I was dumped from the server near the end of my long run on rm's.The tire temp bug seems to be back but not nearly as bad compared to Spa and Laguna.

I have avoided practicing in PAL rooms because of possible connections issues.

I did some tire test last night and they weren't good as I thought. The runs we're but tire wear was not. I think sometimes tires last longer on a second stint or in a race on the second stint. I wonder if online tire wear will be more than the lounge.
