Yeah but in Gamespots interview he confirmed GT5 wont have any of those cool online community features that Forza has... and its been in development twice as long! 👎

All I wanted from online was private lobbies and voice chat.. and both are present.

Yeah but games released as far as 5 years back had that... thats really dissapointing in my opinion. It should have tons of online features other than just 'racing online'.

Wow no marketplace... So no option to design your own car in livery and sell it on the market place...

Still no confirmation of a livery editor anywhere... :indiff:

I dont see what the big deal is with a livery editor. Most cars have a dozen different colors to choose from. That should be plenty of variety.

When I race online I want to race vs yellow, blue red etc Ferraris, not Ferraris with pictures of skulls defecating the hood

20 tracks, no matter the variations, would be an Epic Fail. There has to be something lost in translation, sort of like "soon" means 6 months

Actually 20-25 tracks is not that bad if you look at it. That's enough for all the original GT courses like GrandValley and Deep Forest, plus greats like lemans and the Ring, plus the new ones we know about like Indy, plus a couple that have not been shown yet, like maybe Spa or Monza

Weather and Daynight confirmed is the best news in a while

HOWEVER

that may mean just 10 car grids

O come man what more that you probably want???

Seriously people are never gonna be satisfied, if your not satisfied with GT5 you will contemplate suiciede when you play that other inferior game that starts with F....

And please drop the Forza ish.... please.... GT FORUM...... gosh

A livery editor adds the most longevity to a game in my opinion. The game will never have all of the best race car liveries and I could spend years in the livery editor as it is! Its one of the biggest draws of Forza 3 for me.

for the love of god, why do these interviewers not ask "what do you mean by locations" - "what do you mean by variations" - "how many specific tracks (not including variations) will be included in the game."

is this not the most significant issue at this point? are the interviewers simply not aware of what the GT community wants to know. I wonder if the people that do these interviews are actually GT enthusiasts or just random employees who got shipped over to the land of the rising sun. Frustrating

On a positive note... day/night cycle, rain, tire wear, tire pressure, g-force meter, body kits.... AWESOME

ALSO

Joystiq has an interview up

It says very little

Then go play Forza 3 and draw some nice pictures 💡
NFS: **** also got one, so you can go nuts with these games! But stop complaining about GT5 not offering you the possibility to screw up already beautiful Ferrari's & Lambo's!!

Edit: Trying to make a funny wordjoke about NFS: Shift, is it automatically censured... :banghead:

Totally ignorant post there :dunce:, all I want to do is re-create real life race car liveries and put them in the game, not 'draw pictures'.

Robin.

"The tuning shop will be more than just internal parts--there will also be external bits like bumpers, sidesteps, rear wings, and more."

Cool

OMG!, i have been Waiting for that Since GT3!!!!!!:dopey::dopey::dopey:

I dont want to buy riced out or stupid graphic painted cars.

So far so good, this game is gonna be epic.....

Thats Sooo Ignorant, do you know how many hours of fun does a MarketPlace, Custom Livery Editor adds to the game?, now, im not sure about that Because in the interview He Said that there wont be MarketPlace in The Disc but it MIGHT come as an Update.

Hmm.. Maybe for you.. I never bothered with livery editors cause I buy a racing game to race and I use paint to draw and paint(although not pretty). Having said that though, there are many games that cater for your need (one being forza3, NFS etc etc) so it's not the end of the world for you :).

well forza 3 is there for y ou man. as for me, i dont want to spend hours drawing stick figures, i want to spend hours racing :)

As far as I know, race cars already have liveries on them, so I don't see the point...

They will not have every single great livery in history in game and most of the cars that have stock liveries will be JPN GT Cars, WRC and Nascar. If I see a cool livery in real life there is no reason why I shouldnt be able to apply it to any car in game.

Really?

I would rather have double the cars to race and better physics than Forza. If the only extra that Forza has is the livery editor give me GT every time.

Man we have got all this good news on weather, damage etc..and people are still complaining.

You haven't posted anything positve about GT5.

No disrespect but why don't you stick to forza it sound like it offers you everything your looking for.

They may have not mentioned a livery editor but I think they hinted it at us big, there were a few cars on the tgs demo that looked like obvious livery edited cars, come on my thread 'The souped up mini' to see what I mean

LMAO

The point many people are trying to make here, is that we got so many features confirmed today. Features that actually has to do something with the RACING aspect (weather, g-force, tyre wear, day/night).
It irritates people that you're still complaining about something as a livery editor that doesn't even suit the whole GT concept IMO...

Everyone has their own preferences, modeling lots of cars just looks like it has made the rest of the game suffer (so far) in my opinion.

You do know Forza has many other extras other than the livery editor, GT5 wont even do an online features such as a marketplace, its just going to be standard online racing which is nothing special by todays standards.

And I have posted many things positive about GT5 in the past and unless you have gone through all of my posts since 2006 then you can't make that claim that I have said nothing positive. Recient news has been dissapointing for the most part. Anything which has been confirmed but not seen really doesnt mean anything because KY has a habit of dropping things months later.

And I have never owned an Xbox or Forza!

chepu
MIGHT come as an Update.

Yeah I also saw that, but I believe that means NEVER!
