IDF are deliberately targeting UN bases, as per the UN!

"UNIFIL confirmed two peacekeepers were wounded when an Israeli tank fired at an observation tower at its headquarters in Naqoura, southern Lebanon.

Israeli “soldiers also fired on UN position (UNP) 1-31 in Ras Naqoura, hitting the entrance to the bunker where peacekeepers were sheltering, and damaging vehicles and a communications system”, it said in a statement, adding an Israeli “drone was observed flying inside the UN position up to the bunker entrance”.

On Wednesday, UNIFIL said Israeli soldiers “deliberately fired at” perimeter-monitoring cameras and disabled them.

“They also deliberately fired on UNP 1-32A, where regular Tripartite meetings were held before the conflict began, damaging lighting and a relay station,” it said. “Any deliberate attack on peacekeepers is a grave violation of international humanitarian law and of Security Council Resolution 1701.”"

They were told to evacuate their posts a week ago by the IDF

Yeah I know and UNFIL were meant to keep peace in Southern Lebanon. Which obviously has failed.
Not quite, but please do explain how that would make a deliberate IDF attack on UNFIL locations and troops justified, or give any mandate to the IDF to order them to withdraw.
it’s not a surprise “attack” though
And?

I am, to be honest, quite amazed that you appear to be justifying and attempting to legitimise the IDF deliberately attacking the UN.

You can be amazed as that’s not what I said,

IDF told them to evacuate their posts in the area and it wasn’t a surprise attack on them.

That has no bearing on what the UN peacekeepers do. Just because someone tells them that means they have to listen and obey? The Israeli Army doesn't have authority over UN forces. "Caught in the crossfire" isn't a valid excuse whether there was a 'warning' or not.

Caught in crossfire and deliberately targeting UN forces are two different things

You're excusing the inexcusable, the rest is semantics.

Once again, the IDF doesn't have the mandate to do that, and it would have been a surprise as the IDF shouldn't be deliberately targeting UNFIL forces, doing so is a war crime.

And the later is the reality based on the information available.

Once may be accidental, but three times isn't.

Wednesday saw the IDF take out monitoring cameras at the UNFIL HQ, Thursday saw a UNFIL observation tower at Naqoura directly hit, and Friday saw two explosions injure UNFIL troops at another observation tower.

It's also not as if they are hard to ID as UN locations.

...Israeli decapitation activities have clearly moved into a different era since the October 7 atrocity.

Intelligence “assets” — agents, traitors, devices, malware — are usually left to sit quietly until they can activate something significant. Israeli intelligence chiefs seem to have been prepared to cash in their healthy balance of intelligence assets this year to create an unrivalled picture of the movements of individuals in Hamas and Hezbollah.

It will be interesting to see how Lebanon moves on (and if it changes at all) after this war.

From source. Video is lack any context, even if we don't think its fake from HAMAS/PLO.
The IDF has been livestreaming their war crimes, and bragging about it on Facebook and Telegram, for over a year. We've seen them stealing or breaking civilians' belongings, wearing their underwear, playing with their childrens' toys. We've seen them blowing up their houses, their schools, their hospitals, and dancing in the rubble. We've seen them degrade and torture captives, and snipe at civilians running for their lives, all while fans on social media cheer it on.

Here's an IDF reservist celebrating the destruction of Gaza:

The UN just released a report on Israeli was crimes in Gaza, and plenty of the evidence came directly from IDF soldiers posting to social media.

We have names of over 1000 IDF soldiers whose crimes are documented with thousands of pieces of video, audio, forensic, and social media evidence.

And your argument is what? That a Palestinian couldn't possibly be a journalist?
