Jay-Z wants to run for U.S. President

stupid or not, not matter how you look he is well qualified for the job. In fact I would likely vote him over some over Ivy Leaguer giving the fact they have been the ones ruining this country for the longest.

Exactly what sort of qualifications does he hold? He's skilled in rhetoric, that's for sure.

Article II, Section I

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Eligibility is quite a bit different than "well qualified".

I could run right now myself. Doesn't mean I'm qualified to lead 310 million people for 4 years.

By your flawed logic, nobody would be qualified to be a voter unless they had a college degree or was a member of some elite group/family. In the end this is geninus of our republican government...instead of the power being the hands of a few elites, the power should be in the hands of the common man. Its for this reason if I were to vote, I vote for an individual zero political experience.

In the end its shame that americans have come to believe that the people they should elect come from a background of wealth and power. This where I say we need far less overeducated elites in washington and more of the common man.

1. Jay-Z is very wealthy & holds a strong following. He is not far from some of these political folks.
2. Jay-Z is not the common man.

Before posting others has having "flawed logic", take a look at your own posts.

I'm not gonna sling mud over the internet for ages. Just answer me this one question, "what would make Jay-Z a good president?"

Do I need popcorn for what's about to happen?

Because there's no good answer to that question.

'Sif the American president isn't guided by advisors anyway. Hell, you guys made Bush JNR president and you are worried about Jay-Z?

I've explained this, Kanye would be his vice-president and he could interrupt world leaders, Congress, lobbies, whoever from making bad decisions.

"Yo Congress, I'm happy you came up an economic stimulus plan and everything, but Bill Clinton had the best economies of all time."

And then Jay would all be like "I feel you Kanye"

Except that one.

Anybody can run but unless you're leading the Republicans or the Democrats it won't matter that you're in the race. That'll never be for Mr. Z. Oh, I rhymed. Someone give me a beat.

The current president we have have always been a part of that intellecutal washington and clearly doesn't help the fact he's just another product of machine politics.

You're right on the fact that Jay-Z is very wealth and might have some political connections, how you miss the whole point. This, despits his wealth he isnt one of these so-called intellectuals. To top that, the man have very much been a critic of washington.

I'm not quite sure how the current president has always been a part of Washington, given that he's a first generation American born in Hawaii, went to university in New York and Massachusetts before settling in Chicago. In fact I'd wager the first time he ever set foot in Washington was as a Senator in 2004.

I'm also not sure how it's a bad thing that he's part of the "intellectual". You certainly wouldn't want a blithering idiot as US President. Would Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel be a good President because he's not "part of that intellectual Washington"? Of course not. Why would a 40 year old who didn't even meet the minimum standard of education expected for Americans with a criminal record be any better?

I think you missed the point.

You said we only elect people of power & wealth, not the common the man. Out of those 2 categories, Jay-Z falls into the former.

And being a critic of Washington is a trait shared by 90% of Americans.

I just want to see Beyoncé as first lady. Then maybe those pictures comparing the French first lady, Spanish Princess and American first lady wouldn't be so bad :D

"Alright okay, alright okay okay, alright okay, I'm feelin' you." Where does Mos Def fit into this picture?

My ideal Executive administration would be very Mafia-oriented. In fact, it would be a "Constitutional Mafia". The president would be the Boss, and instead of calling him President we would call him Don. His cabinet of advisors would be his consiglier, the Vice President the Underboss, And then it would work down the ranks throughout various positions, the Secret Service being the Soldiers, etc, doing what the Secret Service does except with a particular class and intimidation factor that only Mafioso could provide.

I've thought long and hard about this. I've come to the conclusion that nobody in the world would dare **** with us, because of course the Mafia runs our government. And you know what happens when you screw with the Mafia. You get shot, and asking questions is never even part of the deal.

I think this system would work well. As Americans we could be proud of our classy, professional military made of Italian-American hitmen dressed in fancy black suits and sunglasses. No camo here because they don't need it. The entire military would function like an enormous team of Navy SEALs in that nobody would ever see an attack coming, and nobody would dare ask who did it for fear of being offed themselves.

I think this system would be glorious and we should implement it immediately.

And he had a BA in History from Yale and an MBA - the only US President in history - from Harvard Business School.

He's not quite the chimp everyone would like to think he is.

Hahaha, if any rapper would want to run for U.S. President, I would say either Eminem or KRS-ONE.

I very much doubt he'd have any of that were it not for daddy. But maybe I am misunderestimating him. Tee-hee.

Just like a lot of people who attend Yale and Harvard, doesn't make them any less intelligent. They just happen to be able to afford high class education.

KR-Who? :odd:

Where do people get these retarded pseudonyms from?

I'm not necessarily trying to flame you but is KRS-ONE really that much more "retarded" than Terronium 12? I could be wrong, but you seem awfully ready to crap on anybody who is a rapper, even if you're not sure who they are.

And being wealthy enough to afford to be educated at Yale doesn't necessarily mean you'll come out of the process as anything but a stupid chimp (although it sure gives you the chance not to). It works both ways.

Sorry for double post I forgot about multiquoting :scared:
