Well my first career race was in a focus st in the tier one category. But one of the challenge series i think started with a GTR. I liked Shift, Shift 2 was the fail. They could and should go to shift 3 bit only after underground 3.

And yes it was the old studio who are now working on PCars ready for next year.

Ps i never said ghost developed it (as there new from last year built from the ashes of another studio) but they were quoted to say they weren't going back and being something new the the series...

you said it ...

This topic has been discussed to death, this is commonly known news

how about we leave it until Kaz says.. hey guys PORKA's ARE IN ... then discuss it.... maybe ??

Maybe because people are just posting new threads about pointless stuff ... :dopey:

Who cares? If you don't want to read the thread then why are you here? I was very happy to hear something from Kaz on the topic so I think the news warrants a thread

I would be willing to pay £20 for a Porsche DLC pack. I hope that PD can have a business meeting with EA to discuss a deal.

It's also good to hear from Kaz that he wants Porsche in GT, but that was already obvious. I just wish something will come of this. Turn 10 and microsoft managed to pull some strings and I hope PD and Sony can too.

Bought the Porsche DLC for Forza4, $30 usd...best $30 on DLC i ever spent. And...probably would do the same for gt6.

GT will probably never have Porsche, unless Porsche chose NOT to accept EA's licensing proposals again. (Assuming that EA's the one approaching them, if it's the other way around, ehh I don't know anymore) :(

I assume after GT5p, GT PSP, GT5 and GT6 PD will have a decent enough war chest that they will just be able to offer Porsche/EA enough money, that it will be impossible to refuse. I would not be surprised that this bothers Kaz (and Sony) on principal (why should I have to do this?).

One thing is for sure, when/if PD does get the license, and they implement it, Porsche will realize what they have been missing.

But t10 integrated it nicely into the game. I have huge doubts PD would be able to do the same.
They're just cars you know, it's not like PD wouldn't implement NEW cars properly in a GT game.......

Although Dan and co also had a series of events thrown in alongside the beetle children. This I highly doubt PD would do.

But what will the new Porsches sound like?
:mischievous:

You can't just throw money at Porsche, PD/Sony has to consider what that would do to all the other manufacturers that they deal with. The money they pay Porsche can't be dramatically different from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Nissan, etc. otherwise they'll all be looking for more money too. I'm sure there's a sort of generally accepted range that they work with and if Porsche can't work within that range, you'll probably never see it in GT.

I wonder if Porsche makes demands for the virtual performance of their cars within video games. Of the NFS games I've played that have featured Porsche, the 911's have arguably the best handling, and in the case of NFSMW, the Carrera GT is the fastest car in the game.

They don't. They have zero regards for video games.

it's also quite possible that maybe, just maybe, that EA handles how much a sub license is as well? They may charge Turn 10 and PD differently if ever both wanted to acquire a sub license for it.......

Contract fees of this size are always private. This is not a roofing business.

Private schmivate, there are dozens of people that will be aware of the actual numbers within any organization and not all of them make a six figure salary. If someone wants the numbers they'll get the numbers.

Contracts of this size usually go with an NDA as well.

EA already created an NFS Underground 3 (Most Wanted 2005) and an Underground 4 as well (Carbon).

They had their own section of events in the EVENT LIST along with their own events in the community/rivals section as well as their own badges/things, and achievements.

Just heard the tragic news, Paul Walker (fast and furious) has been killed in a Porsche, he, just like Sean Edwards (Porsche supercup) was a passenger. :indiff:

You should be ashamed for saying this.
Why? All of them share the same concept. Street racing with horrible physics and a cheesy storyline. The only major difference between Underground 1/2 and Most Wanted '05 is that with MW they added cops, sunlight and managed to make the physics even worse.
