I payed $100 for GT7. I don't want to complete everything in 3 weeks, I want to play it for the next 3 years.
But surely you want that to be with unique content, not just grinding out races over and over to get cars? You can finish what GT7 offers in terms of content in well under 50 hours.

The old games only lasted that long if you only played a few hours a week.

I did the maths in another thread.

GT1 - 50-70 hours
GT2 - 60 to 100 hours
GT3 - 78 to 159 hours
GT4 - 195 to 350 hours

That's completing all the game has to offer and owning all the cars. So the longest game was obviously GT4, to make it last for years you'd have to play only a couple of hours a week.

I had a blank expression when I got to the "Ending Movie" on only my 2nd day and beat the Cafe. I had already beat the licenses and missions. But nope that was indeed the end. I was shocked.

Reminded me of Ferris coming on the screen at the very end of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and going "You're still here? It's over. Go home"

Except I was already at home sitting in my room shocked that was all the campaign a "mainline" GT game had to offer in 9 years since 6. Certainly never once did I get feelings of being back in GT4 with the lack of endurance events and no prototype races.

I still can barely believe it but hey. I guess that's just gaming in 2022 and even my beloved GT isn't immune anymore.

I'm glad Kaz wrote us a letter to give us explanations and excuses.

I hope that a long maintenance will not happen in the future.

For this reward story, I like that Kaz and PoDi assume their choice despite the big wave of protest.

Personally, I like their vision even if it doesn't seem to be compatible with players who want to get everything, very quickly today.

Understand the value and history of each car. Enjoying the driving, enjoying each car by doing World Circuit races, custom races, online races and so on.

It's good that they have balanced rewards, I never found normal that a 3 minutes race is better rewarded than a 20 minutes race. Balancing also avoid players to do the same race over and over again.

What the game needs in the future, is more races, preferably races that reward well. The ability to sell cars, not just for money but because it's also part of the series.

If you play regularly for months or years, money will fall and one day you will be able to buy a 20M car and you will be very happy.

Thank PoDi, I'm happy to play GT7 again before the weekend
I mean you once called a journalist who was invited by PD to play GT Sport before release a liar and a hack because what he reported about it's state at that time wasn't what you (a person who never played it) believed it was (before it was delayed 11 months); so I suppose we can take this at face value.

Now on the last page of All Time rankings. Well done PD.

Think what you like, but the objective evidence is that most people aren't loving it. I bought Shift 2 three times and had heaps of fun playing it, but I can still admit that the game was a trash fire.
Why'd you buy it three times?

Yeah when Muta gets going you know it's a greasy, slimy situation. Plus his channel has massive visibility, so if somebody hasn't heard about it yet, they sure will soon enough. God bless that man.
I was so happy when I saw that video go up because he does have the pull to influence a decision. PD has no choices in my opinion. They either fix the game immediately or watch their 25 years of work continue to evaporate in a matter of a month or less. 90% of People that pay $70+ for a game don't tolerate this BS.

The only reason we are here pouring our hearts out is because of our love for GT. So I can only imagine the casuals are already heading out in droves. Which is probably the majority of their MTX playerbase to be honest.. Kills me because this could've been the most active GT game ever and it's already forcing people away in droves.

Seeing the latest Gran Turismo I am quite dissapointed by what I have seen.

Looks like Gran Turismo 2 & Gran Turismo 4 will be visited by me again soon & if I turn the PS3 on again Gran Turismo 6.

I will not be getting this game since I moved onto Forza Horizon years back to continue my car collecting & free roam.

While I agree that the always online, in-game purchases, and general lack of single player content is disappointing, the core gameplay is not a total disaster and I'm actually enjoying just playing the game. Hopefully PD follow through on their promises to add content and resolve these issues

1.09 will be out presently to deal with that with extreme prejudice, as well as traditional grinding.

The kicker - the $20,000,000 cap will be lifted because Hagerty pricing will demand cars priced well above that.
Considering the cap wasnt increased in GT Sport unless you paid for the Hamilton DLC - i suspect they will treat this broken game mechanism the same way.

It's funny to see people being like "what is this **** game, you need 3 million dollars to pay for all those cars!!!"
Or you can like, you know, play the game and eventually get all those without giving away any additional real money
Again with the strawman arguments... People don't mind the high prices of cars, it's the nerfed payouts and lengthy grinds for a singular car that people take issue with.

So no one is saying "you need 3000$ to pay for all those cars"?
Wasn't even really an argument. Was just pointing out that one exact thing people say. All those posts counting how many real money you "need" to pay to buy all cars in the game are nonsense.

If you happen to own a CFW PS3, be sure to check out the Spec II mod for GT6 as it adds some new features, improved car engine sounds, new events and new tracks.
Tbh I'm also keeping my old PS3, just in case when I really feel nostalgic and wanted to play GT5/6 and also other exclusives that didn't see any current-gen rereleases.

Apparently cheaters are using scripts now because they see the game is unfair. I don't even....

This guy doesn't even ..

Literally not possible to do without sacrificing multiple hours of your spare time each day to grinding. It's a F2P game.

And this is why I'll forever miss GT5/6 online and the replayability of those games in general. I wish I still had my PS3. All I have currently is my PS4 Pro, GT Sport, GT7 with a hope and a dream PD finally wakes up..

I would agree if legendary and used cars were gone forever once they disappear from related dealerships. But this is not the case, because cars will reappear.

Reviewbombing is such a pathetic form of protest, I've no idea what people seek to achieve, other than affirming they are the shortsighted petulant children that months of market research already showed they are.

This is the kind of thing done by people who put wayyyy too much stock in the internet, and i'd hazard a guess the same kind of people who keep telling me Attack on Titan is a galactically important entertainment event, and not the absolute mess of a thoroughly overwritten anime it is. Uhh, /tangent.

Y'all get what I mean. I think it's really, really weak. Luckily, no one outside of metacritic takes any stock of the user score, as it's been nothing but a form of limp wristed protests (variously ranging from "I don't like your game's economy" to "I thought your game had too many women in it compared to how I would've written it") for years now.

I think you're underestimating how much things cost in the game. Even buying and tuning up a standard Brand Central car requires hours worth of game time on one of the 'high' payout races.

100hrs of intense, dedicated grind will barely scratch the surface and few people will reach even that. Unless daily races can payout like a capped 2m for an hour or so play then most people will never achieve an acceptable collection of cars.

Eventually being upwards of 4000 hours right now. Nobody said you had to pay real money, they just point out how much it'd cost if you did.

400 million credits to buy all the cars, 2m for $20 = $4000.

So which are you going with? 4000 hours or 4000 dollars?

It's fine if you're too blind to see the game's glaring problems but you're not going to make 1000s of pissed off consumers take your point of view. The fact they changed this after launch is what's vile and disgusting. Even pre launch it would be just as bad.

"Review bombing" as you see it is the only outlet we have to vent our frustrations to what appears to be now an extremely greedy company that just scammed everyone by releasing an $70+ unfinished game with MTX and grinds worse than a F2P game. I've been playing since GT1. Spare me the theatrics and BS because you don't want to believe what you are seeing. It's happening. If someone that's as big of a PD fanboy as I was can come out and criticize them then you can too.

You are the one that's acting like a "petulant child" because you don't think people that spent their hard earned money on a game that wasn't released as advertised don't have a right to an opinion. Almost Every single person's complaints is regarding the economy and grinds. Nobody is complaining about the actual gameplay because of course it's good, it's a GT game.

Let other people have their opinions and don't call them a "petulant child" just because they say things that your blind self can't see. That's being by very definition not only ignorant, but also a "petulant child."
