Yep, it's so addicting. My first goal was to get under 2 minuets. Now I want to get into the top ten. At one point I was just .020 away from 10th:ouch:

My problem is that freaking hairpin, that's were I lose probably .8 of my 1.2 seconds away from 1st.

You want me to help you make that climb to the top 10 just a bit harder? :sly:
 
I might give 190kg a bash tomorrow. Seems that Samurai is maybe using that because he's hitting 172mph on the home straight. Though i may not be able to handle the oversteer D:

This tune may not be for everyone, but it works really good for me and how I like my cars to handle. This tune drives much better than it looks. Some elements were a bit surprising, but its fast and really keen to turn. I like it a lot.
I was a bit mystified by some of your hints about snow in Suzuka - now I understand what you mean.

In regards to the 172 mph that samurai is hitting its proly a transmission set up, I was hitting 170 and I'm not s fast out of the last corner as him, I'm about 3 mph shower, and my tune has 200 kg ballast
 
1:59.552 for 5th place. Loosing 6 tenths to Samurai in sector 1, didn't have a great hairpin, but was still almost two tenths quicker than him through sector 2, then lost another half second in the final sector. I think that's good enough for tonight. Back to the WRS combo for me. :cheers:

To be honest Andrew, some of your comments like that just rub me the wrong way. I know you're a nice kid and all and generally mean well, but its just that some of these comments you make come off like you're just throwing your skills in everyone's face. I don't know, maybe its just me. Anyhow, not trying to start anything and everything is cool between us, I just had to put that out there. Good luck with your run. 👍

I was running a similar set up and stuck at 2:04.6. I modified your tune slightly and improved to 2:03.289. The gears alone helped a lot.

@ Transmission...Seriously? 112? I'm using the whole set-up you have here, tranny ratios exact, but the top speed limiter is maxing out on the corners, much less the straights. Am I missing something here?

Do it in the exact order he has listed.

Yes, seriously. :) Make sure you add all power upgrades first then set transmission in the exact steps I have provided.

Dude, I watched Samurai's replay, and he was maxing out at 168 on the back straight, and I'm getting 98 mph max following your steps to the "t." I just don't see how you can get that kind of speed with a 112/1.455 5th gear tranny setting.

Then your not following his steps to the "t":P

1. Put in 200kg @ +28
2. Buy power upgrades. And put it to 590pp
3. Do the transmission in the exact order he has listed.

Try this, maybe it helps:

1.- Set final gear to 6500
2.- Set max speed to 112 mph
3.- Set gears as shown
4.- Set final gear to 3500
 
Then your not following his steps to the "t":P

3. Do the transmission in the exact order he has listed.


That's what I did, three times. The setting's themselves are good, and I can get 168 max at 112. Just not with those Final/5th gear ratios...But it's all good, I've found a 1.318 5th/3.500 FG work.
