So, CLK or the F1?
CLK LM is stable, and can be understeery at times. But it has better top speed and fuel economy.

F1 GTR Longtail has better turning, but slightly lower top speed and worse fuel economy.

CLK is more preferrable on 800 pp events. I run one on RH tires and downforce levels are almost close to max. Only added 101 kg of ballast.

I bought the f1, while already having the clk, and tested both in a sardegna 800pp race.
Very simple test. AT, racing hards, tcs0, mostly stock settings, ballast position fully to the front, and increased weight until it dropped bellow the required PP.
From what I could tell the CLK appeared to be faster than the F1. I got laps of 1:37 with the clk while only a best lap 1:38.400 with the F1. I cant tell if this different was because of the car itself or if i was just having a better performance in the clk race.
In terms of handling clk felt a little bit heaver and understeary, while f1 was a bit more light and agile, but also more tailspinny. Dont forget i used tcs0.
Fuel map both had fuel for 5 laps on fm1 and AT. Clk little slightly had more fuel on pitting.
I will do another race with the f1 to confirm this.

Really? They were in the last 1/3 of 1st cycle. When did they appear in LCD at 2nd time? So next few days they'll appear at 3rd time?
Yes. For example Sauber Mercedes pop up 3rd time since game launched. When you see again this car or mazda 797B, Porsche 962C etc they will 4th time.

Try the CLK with 50kgs of ballast and reduce the power to 91. It will still do 1.37s easily and 6 laps on fm1. On fm6 you can do a 1 stop and lap in the 1.39s.

I am confused by your response, since we normal players got access to the dealership I have only seen the Sauber C9 Merc two times in the dealership and the 787B/962 etc only once so I don't understand how you can say they are up for a fourth time unless you mean the dealership has actually been runniing since December state of play?

Some cars were appear 2 times such as in my list. Some cars were appear 3rd times. Anyway doesnt matter 3-4-5 just focus on what cars you need and follow kudosprime, other guy’s stuff etc. My list is about last cars of the cycle before turning back. And all the cars in my list is appeared 2 times. Ferrari GTO once at the moment and i am waiting to buy then all will be finished for me. I will have all cars in Hagerty collection. I hope you all get your favourite cars as soon as possible.

Update:
I did the sardegna 800pp again with the f1.
Performance increased from laps of 1:39 with a best lap of 1:38.400 to laps of 1:37/1:38 with a best lap 1:36.600.
I now think both cars are close in terms of performance. F1 is lighter and spinnier, clk is more stable and understeery. Clk closelly better on fuel.
Final conclusion: There is no dominant winner. Pick witch ever you want. Both will do the job.

WTC800 is the defacto Gr.2 championship now it feels like
Yet the entire field of competition is Gr.3... ? There is no Gr.2 or Gr.1 race currently really. There's a race you can use your detuned Gr.2 cars at, but it's not exactly a challenge or a race matching a Gr.2 calibre.

Waiting for the cobra daytona. I have the money... But i am going next week to france, and i dont know if i will miss it! 🤞

Hmmmmm... except thst the field is full of Gr.3s and the events can be won with stock Gr.3s 😬
Yeah I know but what are our other options? I would love a dedicated Gr.2 race but apparently PD hates us and won't let us have any fun with it.

Thanks to all for your responses, the CLK is worth every penny IMO and I've only tried 2 tunes with no trans adjustments. Vule, yours is next (saving the best for last...I hope).

I'm halfway to the FINA and I think I'm going to pull the trigger before the price goes up.

The rotation is still in its 2nd cycle, no car has appeared more than twice.

Tried the Fina F1. Oh, yes, it can get out of shape. Entering Indianapolis :scared: Exiting Indianapolis:crazy:

Haven't driven the car since GT4. One of my favourites back then. Glad I buckled down and changed my mind to get it. No doubt the higher payouts helped, but I was also at the end of collecting what I wanted. Happy PD finally fully rendered this car. In the same breath, including the CLK.

For those that haven’t bought or are waiting for the 911 GT1. Buy it. I’ve tuned it with the same default suspension and diff settings as the the CLK & F1. Full race transmission and carbon brakes. It’s 250kg heavier and the downforce 300/450 vs 580/790, makes a difference, but even set a PP 755.20(598BHP on RM), it gets the job done to mimic the race cars.

I only bought engine parts I can remove, just in case I want to revert back to stock. Other than that, the 911 GT1 is butter smooth. Sounds fantastic. It rides better than the other two and is closer in handling to the CLK.
I‘m also waiting for the F40, but the three GT1 cars, I dare say, are trumping my beloved Group C cars for best cars in the game. They sit just above the GT500 ‘08 and just below the GT500 ‘16 cars. Being fast enough, but not ultra fast. Yet, fast enough to enjoy driving fast. The real Holy Trinity in my book.

Been doing Custom Races with all the Group C cars, JGTC GT500 cars, DBR9, M3 GT, Diablo, Countach(set to JGTC specs), Alfa 155, GT2-spec Viper & 993 RS CS, GT2-spec NSX, DTM E30 and a JGTC GT300 spec S15 TC. Been having fun with them all. Next, I’ll add all the Super GT cars from ‘08 & ’16 to replace the tuned cars, bar the Diablo. Just to see how they all play together. :)

If you focus more on reducing power, instead of balance, it can be done easily on one stop on FM1, as it can do about 7 and a half laps on a tank, just starting or finishing, have to shortshift a little to squeeze the full 8th lap of fuel. Lapping on 1:38s.
No point on keeping the HP higher just to take way the extra power by putting FM6 on race.

Finally pull the trigger and bought the CLK.

Wow, worth it. Needs more set up to counter the understeer but I love it and the engine sound is the icing on the cake.

You can check this list too. This guy made a list about legendary cars.

The rotation is still in its 2nd cycle, no car has appeared more than twice.
we are coming to the end. After Ferrari GTO the cycle will start from the beginning again. Peugeot 205 is 3rd time appeared i think.

Indeed, just that!

I ran 4 times Sardegna now with the F1 and i'm still faster with the CLK, but..... i love the fact that i have to work for it in the F1, CLK is extremely steady and very forgiving.
indeed the F1 is a little spinnier, to early on the throttle in second gear can set you backwards very fast, but i must say, altho it's "almost" as fast as the CLK, i find it more fun to drive the F1.
2 stops with as much FM1 as possible to find those fast laps, average 1:37's with a fastest of 1:36:628
Still can be faster, just trying different setups, but i doubt i'll get a 34 out of it.
