Legendary cars dealer refresh

Two cars you literally cannot purchase at the same time without buying credits with real money. LOL.

I'll own neither and I'm in no rush to change that. I'll play other games (cough Forza cough) that respects my time and allows me to actually own the cars I love without needing to dedicate work hours to grinding mundane races with pitiful payouts.

I'm real close to uninstalling the game at this point. What reason is there to keep playing? It's utter foolishness.
How are the Forza physics and feel compared to GT7?

The cars will have a max cap of 20 million credits obviously. Even PD can't be that ridiculous.

The cars that IRL cost 50-60-70 million like the 250 GTO will cost 20 million in the game. Same as the Mercedes S Barker Tourer and the Cobra Daytona Coupe which are cars that have already been confirmed costing 20 million each and IRL they are worth more than that.

Polyphony, please, I beg you, release the 250 GTO for 70 million Cr, the highest reported sale of a 250 GTO. Please, make it inaccessible unless we buy it with real money. For those at home, to buy it from 0 Cr. would be $700 or $500 if you already have the max amount of "free" credits (that term is so dirty, come on PD).

I want to see if you're ready to risk it all, take it all the way and provide lots of ammo for us that laugh and complain endlessly at

The Hagerty dealership would be the laughing stock if they don't make it 70 million Cr.

It would be highly unrealistic to be able to buy it at 20 million, and that's not what we'd want as car collector fans! /sarcasm

All the things you now see in Gran Turismo came straight from the "other game that respects your time and allows you to actually own the cars I love without needing to dedicate work hours to grinding mundane races with pitiful payouts".

How much is an AE86 in Forza again? That is, if you can find one being auctioned. Please remind me. And, even in the event it does appear in a seasonal, it still requires doing mundane chores anyway. This is a car GT7 gives you for free and you can buy dozens of them in the UCD right now.

Even if there were no MTX, the system would still suck. As it does in Forza.
So paying for paint chips (GT5) came from Forza? Having the game tailored toward giving you the lowest possible credit rewards from the reward carousel came from Forza? I didn't know Forza had a reward carousel! Having two 18M+ cars appear one after another that you literally cannot afford simultaneously without purchasing credits using real money came from Forza?

As for how much the AE86 costs in FH5, I wouldn't be able to tell you because I got mine by taking part in the seasonal races. That every prize-only car is available through. Remind me, what other ways are there to acquire the McLaren F1 and Porsche 917K in GT7 as of right now? There isn't one. So whatever point it was that you're so desperately trying to prove by bringing up FH5's economy is lost on me because it's factually inaccurate.

Oh, and in the event you do miss the races each of these are available through, you can purchase them through the Auction House. With credits obtained two, three, or fourfold the speed you can acquire half that amount in GT7. So, please remind me, what point is it that you're trying to prove that your head is so deeply buried in the ground that you're trying (and failing at spectacularly, might I add) to scapegoat another game just to make GT7 look better?

It's also important to me that you understand that you cannot purchase credits in FH5 with real money. The option does not exist. So I'll ask you for the third time: what point is it that you're trying to prove?

By the way, there's a certain trophy (2 actually if we count the Platinum) that no player has unlocked yet.

It's the "Three Legendary Cars"

You need to buy 3 cars from the Legendary Car Dealer that were "destined to win 24 hour races". Basically, you have to buy 3 cars that won 24 hour races.

So far there have only been 2 cars that fit this trophy. The Ford Mark IV (4.600.000 cr) and the Sauber Mercedes C9 (3.000.000).
There haven't been any other cars... Until now!!! The Porsche 917k is one of them since it won Le Mans as well. So if you have the Mark IV and the Sauber C9, if you are a trophy hunter, go do that massive grind for that 917. 😉

One thing's for sure. This is definitely going to be the trophy that will be unlocked the least. It really does require you to either be a full hardcore no life grinder or the stars to align with the "cheapest" 24 hour winners coming one after the other in 4 day intervals.
EDIT: Or... just use your rich wallet. How could have I forgotten about this. :P

FM7 has a bit of an understeer bias, but that isn't to say you can't kick any of the cars out because you can, and easily so at that. I'd have to go back to FM7 to directly compare the two, which I'm unable to do at the moment. FH5 on the other hand is a bit more relaxed, and yet it somehow has gravel/offroad physics that are exponentially better than GT7's. You can quote me on that all day, everyday.

I'm beginning to think he doesn't like Forza, you know.

You wanna know something funny? I got the AE86 for free in FH5 as well. :DHow? By doing the same wheelspin tactic he said he did before they nerfed it. :P

Sold it on the AH at very community friendly rate right as the car came up in the seasonal challenge.

What’s so great is that no matter what the 250 GTO goes up for, Kaz will look like a complete dork. If it’s 20 million, he lied when he said:

“At the same time the pricing of cars is an important element that conveys their value and rarity, so I do think it’s important for it to be linked with the real world prices.”

But what if its the '95 F1 GTR or XJR9? :indiff: And I'd assume the modern LMP cars don't count.

A Porsche 917K won Le Mans, but this one didn't. It won Daytona.

That should still qualify it though, as it's a 24 hour race.
Yes, this Gulf Porsche won Daytona. But also yes, it was a 24 hour race so it applies.
But what if its the '95 F1 GTR or XJR9? :indiff: And I'd assume the modern LMP cars don't count.
The modern LPM cars don't count. It has to be cars from the Legendary Dealership.

The XJR-9 will count and will probably be as "cheap" as the Sauber C9 at 3 million.
The F1 GTR however... Will probably cost 20 million. I dunno how they are priced IRL, never seen one sale for higher than the road version for 17 million a few years ago. But it should be more expensive considering it's rarer, it's a racing machine and has the status of "24 hr Le Mans winner".

But yes, both cars will count towards the trophy, but we haven't seen them in the Legendary Dealership yet.

EDIT: The Mazda 787B will also count. The price is also not going to be much, relatively speaking. Probably for about the same as the C9 at 3 million (one IRL was in auction for about 2 million UK pounds).
EDIT 2: Porsche 962C also fits the criteria.

To throw a bone PD's way for a second, I think it's obvious exceptions have to be made for a couple cars. The car won't cost anywhere close to real world values, but the trade off is that it's a car that will literally require players to spend every last "cent" of their free credits.

The 787B won Le Mans, right? So that’s in the mix as well.

I forgot about wheelspin rewards. That's two ways to pick up the AE86 before even looking at the Auction House. Not looking good for our resident naysayer who's mysteriously quiet right now...

No matter how many times you stomp up and down to say it's 'grinding', playing different races and championships every week with different parameters is not grinding. Stop trying to make fetch happen.

Like jesus. Just so ****in' disingenuous trying to browbeat Forza for stuff that GT7 does so much worse. And of course, he won't answer about it, he'll just bring it up in another thread in order to keep the circlejerk going, and he'll get reminded of his wrongness again, and again, and again.

Yeah, edited the post. The Porsche 962C will also be in the mix as well. However for this one I have no clue how much it will cost.

So the list is:

Mazda 787B - 24hr Le Mans winner
Sauber Mercedes C9 - 24hr Le Mans winner
Jaguar XJR-9 - 24hr Le Mans winner
Porsche 917k - 24hr Daytona winner
McLaren F1 GTR Kokusai Kaihatsu - 24hr Le Mans winner
Ford Mark IV - 24hr Le Mans winner
Porsche 962C - 24hr Le Mans winner
Jaguar D-Type - 24hr Le Mans winner

The only ? I have is the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe. This car won the GT Class in 1964 24 Hour of Le Mans but OVERALL it finished 4th, the winner was Ferrari that year. But this one costs 20 million...

According to the FH5 wiki, it was available a third way at the beginning of this month for 600FP during Series 4 - Spring week.

Not to be nitpicky, but the 962C in GT7 did not win Le Mans, as it’s not the correct “long tail” version.

There's no way. I think he's just looking for—oh hell, you're right.
Also, it's funny how the consistent lying and false narratives about Forza he's peddling would probably have more play (in fact, I know it did) back before GT7 came out, considering how badly people wanted to posit FH4/5 especially as the worst games ever that forces you to 'grind' for rewards. It's a wonderful bit of schadenfreude that even that prime red meat bait is not being taken anymore considering how much Polyphony has ****ed up, and seemingly intends to keep on Sideshow Bob stepping onto rakes.

Someone in PSNProfiles stated he bought the 917k and he had the C9 and the Mark IV and the trophy did not pop.

So either that trophy is bugged, PD has 3 exact cars in mind or they have to be Le Mans winners. BTW I added the Jaguar D-type into the list as well.

In Forza you don't even have paint chips, dude. And the official manufacturer colors are dreadfully inaccurate. I mean, just look at the AMG GT-R in Forza. You should know it yourself, given you used to create colors in Forza a long time ago. Or did you forget that?

Forza also literally has wheelspins and exclusive cars within these wheelspins. Wheelspins that sometimes give you clothing. At this point you're just being dishonest.

These wheelspins considerably slow down once you become high level. Remember Super Wheelspins are more scarce in FH5 and Playground explicitly called the Jeep farming an "exploit" in their patch notes when they nerfed the car. The only quick way to get rich in Forza is to camp the AH and flip cars, which takes time unless you run bots on PC. Speaking of bots, let's not forget how you can be outsniped by bots when looking for rare cars.

I don't have this time. I also don't have time to farm perk points in Forza by doing donuts in the desert running over cacti for hours like an idiot. Same way I don't have time to run Fisherman's a million times to buy the F1.

You're the one who's trying to scapegoat Forza by claiming it as "superior" to GT when all the FOMO mechanics from GT came from Forza itself. Playground did the EXACT same with their game that PD is doing now. They actually did worse, lol. And they keep getting away with it because of apologizers like you, who give them a pat on the back because "no MTX". Then they make you grind the Playlist for a month, being forced to interact with the idiots who play online, in order to get enough points to win a car GT7 gives you for free (Mustang Mach 1). Not to mention the worse things they did in the past, like locking cars behind Eliminator, Playground Games or even PvP modes.

The whole genre went to **** when it became service with this FOMO ******** and it's just not ok to single GT out just because it's the only one of the bunch with a microtransaction system in place. Bad things are bad regardless of money.

According to the FH5 wiki, it was available a third way at the beginning of this month for 600FP during Series 4 - Spring week.
Which requires you to do "mundane tasks" like Horizon Arcade, which nobody plays because it sucks, or farm perk points to get Forzathon points. Or the Forzathon itself. And you're limited to just one, because, you know, Playground doesn't like us crashing their market. Remember that the house that doubles FP income for non-VIPs is quite expensive too.

Meanwhile in GT7 I can literally buy 100s of them with my current 2,300,000 Cr., as they're currently featured in the UCD.

I forgot about wheelspin rewards. That's two ways to pick up the AE86 before even looking at the Auction House. Not looking good for our resident naysayer who's mysteriously quiet right now...
Heh, you got more from me than you deserve. How old are you? 12?

I just do races and collect my wheelspins and I'm fairly rich, without playing very often either. I mostly just do the weekly stuff and leave, though now that GT7 has proven to be a massive disappointment I do find myself going back to FH5.

Playground did the EXACT same with their game that PD is doing now.
No. No they did not. Where, and I want photo proof, are the micro-transactions? Where is the hardcore nerfing of credits earning that Polyphony is intent on going through with? Give. Proof.

And they keep getting away with it because of apologizers like you, who give them a pat on the back because "no MTX".
It's almost like the system is infinitely better then GT's and that's why it's better. Huh, whodathunk. Does it have problems? Yeah, probably. But compared to this game, and compared to what Polyphony is intent on doing? Playground's way of doing things blows it all out of the water.

Then they make you grind the Playlist for a month,
still not grinding no matter how much you stomp your feet and have hissyfits saying that it is

being forced to interact with the idiots who play online,
As compared to dealing with the moronic AI in GT7 that will punt you off track if you're anywhere near them, losing the clean race bonus you need to do absolutely anything in the game?

Not to mention the worse things they did in the past, like locking cars behind Eliminator, Playground Games or even PvP modes.
Almost like they want you to play different modes. Shocking concept, I know.

The only quick way to get rich in Forza is to camp the AH and flip cars
ahahahahahahahahahahaha get a load of this guy

and it's just not ok to single GT out just because it's the only one of the bunch with a microtransaction system in place.
It's not only the worst system in place, it's also one that Polyphony, through having seen other devs (including T10, full disclosure) implement and get soundly criticized for, still put it in their game, to the point of making it a major fulcrum of the entire game's design. It isn't the implementation of the system by this point that is pissing people off, it's the absolute lack of desire to change it and make a better game without it.

Your quixotic crusade against Forza has reached almost hysterical levels considering, as has been obvious in this forum since the launch of the game, how much Polyphony has screwed up, and will continually **** up without so much as a care in trying to change things. You trying to hold Forza's feet to the fire for something that they already went through and has not gone back to (while Polyphony has straight up lied and put MTX's back into their games, and have added them into three straight games) while also trying to post utterly false narratives that have been continually proven wrong is just reeking of huffing copium because people are mad that your favorite game is being beaten down, rightfully.

Grow a pair, for once. Maybe stop trying to make Forza the devil when it absolutely isn't, not compared to GT.
